CARMEL, CALIF. — O'Connor Capital Partners and Wafra Investment Advisory Group have created a joint venture called O’Connor/Wafra Retail Partners to acquire Carmel Plaza, a 111,781-square-foot luxury lifestyle center in Carmel. Purchase price was not disclosed. Notable tenants at the center include Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Bottega Venetta, J.Crew and Anthropologie.

MEMPHIS, TENN. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of a five-property, 2,671-unit self-storage portfolio, located in the greater Memphis area. Two of the properties are located in Memphis, two are in Olive Branch, Miss., and one is in Hernando, Miss. Charles LeClaire and Anne Williams of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, Memphis Storage LLC, in the transaction. The buyer was Amsdell Storage Ventures VII.

OMAHA — Brix, a wine tasting bar and bistro store in Omaha, plans to open a second location at Midtown Crossing. The 9,500-square-foot store will be located at 220 S. 31st Ave., in the space that formerly housed Republic of Couture. The new location will feature a retail area, bistro and event center. Brix opened its first store in the Village Pointe shopping center in west Omaha about two-and-a-half years ago.

GREEN BAY, WIS., GRANDVILLE, MICH. — Construction is under way on two new Cabela's stores in Wisconsin and Michigan. Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. is building an 88,000-square-foot Cabela's store in Rivertown Mall in Grandville, a suburb of Grand Rapids. The new store is slated to open in the spring of 2013. Kraus-Anderson has also broken ground on a Cabela's location on Highway 41 and Lombardi Avenue in Green Bay. The Green Bay Packers organization owns the land and is leasing it to Cabela's. The store is scheduled to open in the summer of 2013. Both stores will feature wildlife displays, a gun library, aquarium, boat shop and deli.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tops Friendly Markets has agreed to buy 21 supermarkets in New York and Vermont from GU Markets, an affiliate of C&S Wholesale Grocers. The sale includes 20 Grand Union stores and one Bryant's supermarket. The stores will continue to operate under their current names and will retain the existing 600 employees. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The sale is expected to close by this fall. Tops Friendly Markets is based in Buffalo, and the acquisition brings the number of stores operated by the company to 153.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Q10/Professional Mortgage Co. has secured an $8.3 million, fixed-rate loan on the 122,117-square-foot Mooresville Town Square, a shopping center located along Brawley School and Williamson roads in Mooresville. Bryson Thomason of Q10 arranged the loan on behalf of an institutional lender that Q10 represents as a loan correspondent. Q10 will service the loan.

OAKLAND, CALIF. — Quik Pick Express has leased a 42,000-square-foot warehouse in Oakland. The facility is located within the Elmhurst Business Park at 745 85th Ave. The third-party logistics company plans to expand its operation at the new facility. Harvest Properties, the asset manager for owner Principal Real Estate Investors, was represented by John McManus and Andrew Briner of Cushman & Wakefield’s Oakland office.
