PITTSBURGH — Total Hockey, a sports equipment retailer, will open two new locations in the Cranberry and Parkway West submarkets of Pittsburgh. The company signed a 10-year lease for an 8,025-square-foot retail space at Cranberry Square, next to Pier One Imports. Art DiDonato of Oxford Realty Co. represented the landlord in the transaction. The second location will be at the Plaza @ The Pointe in North Fayette, where Total Hockey will occupy 8,910 square feet. The landlord, Costa Land Co., was represented in-house by Sarah Piccione in the 10-year lease deal. Jared Imperatore of Cushman & Wakefield/Grant Street Associates Inc. represented the tenant in both transactions.

EL PASO — Walmart will open a new 150,000-square-foot store, located at 5631 Dyer St. in El Paso, on Friday. The Walmart will be open 24 hours daily. The new store will feature a Subway restaurant, First Convenience Bank branch, a pharmacy, a digital processing center and full grocery options. The store will add approximately 300 jobs.
GARLAND — LA Fitness has signed a long-term lease to open a 45,000-square-foot facility, located at 1201 W. Centerville Rd. in Garland. The former Mervyn's building at that site is being razed. John Zikos, Jonathan Cooper and Chris Booras of Venture Commercial, along with Walt Brown and Tim Dollander of Diversified Partners, represented the tenant in the lease transaction. Jim Weir of The Retail Connection represented the landlord, Garland Eastgate II.
LONG BEACH, CALIF. – An Arco AM/PM service station in Long Beach has sold to Kanak LLC for $3 million. The acquisition included the service station, a 2,900-square-foot convenience store and a 600-square-foot laundromat that contains an additional 500 square feet of space that is available for lease. This all resides on an 18,748-square-foot lot. The property is located at 1001 Redondo Ave. Kanak plans to operate all of the businesses. The sale was financed with a $2-million SBA loan from Hamni Bank. Mark Konopaske and Tim Kwak of Lee & Associates-Investment Services Group represented both the buyer and the seller in this transaction.
GREEN BAY, WIS. — Outdoor recreation retailer Cabela's Inc. will open a new store in Green Bay in the summer of 2013, marking its third location in the state. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall on a 100,000-square-foot store in the Titletown Development area. The store will be designed to surround customers in an “outdoor-like experience” with wildlife displays. In addition to hunting, fishing and outdoor gear products, the store will also include a large mountain replica featuring North American game animals recreated in their natural habitat. There will also be a gun library, aquarium, boat shop and deli. In 2013, Cabela's also plans to open stores in Grandville, Mich.; Columbus, Ohio; Louisville, Ky.; Thornton, Colo.; and Lone Tree, Colo.
NEW HAVEN, CONN. — White Plains, N.Y.-based Longford Associates has acquired 466-480 Foxon Blvd., a grocery-anchored shopping center in New Haven, for $7.4 million. The 49,146-square-foot property is located on Route 80, just northeast of downtown New Haven. The center is 90 percent occupied and tenants include Aldi Supermarkets, T-Mobile and AutoZone. Edward Jordan of Northeast Private Client Group represented the seller, New Haven-based Krypac Development, in the transaction. He also represented the buyer.
FORT WORTH — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of the 7,000-square-foot, net-leased Cash America Pawn, located near the intersection of McCart Avenue and Altamesa Boulevard in south Fort Worth. Vincent Knipp of Marcus & Millichap's Fort Worth office represented the seller, a Colorado-based limited liability company, in the transaction and procured the buyer, a local partnership.
RICHARDSON — Austin-based The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has signed a 15-year lease to occupy 30,000 square feet of space at Richardson Heights Shopping Center, located on Interstate 75 and Beltline Road in Richardson. Jerry Averyt of Henry S. Miller Brokerage represented the tenant in the transaction. Frank Bullock and Tyler Isbell of SRS Real Estate Partners represented the owner, Hartman Short Term Properties XX Inc.
ARLINGTON — John T. Evans Co. has brokered the sale of the former Buck 'N' Loon's, an 11,000-square-foot, free-standing restaurant property, located at 3517 S. Cooper St. in Arlington. Mike Sandel and Craig Johnson of John T. Evans Co. represented the buyer, T&T Realty Corp., and the seller, Zions Bank, in the transaction.
DALLAS — Nodding Donkey, Torchy's Tacos and World of Beer have signed leases at BLVD, a new mixed-use development at SMU Boulevard and Greenville Avenue in Dallas. BLVD, which features 417 residential units and 9,100 square feet of retail space, is now fully leased. A joint venture between Prescott Realty Group, AREA Property Partners and Northwestern Mutual owns the project. United Commercial Realty represented Nodding Donkey in its lease transaction, Jamie Streeter of Princeton Partners represented Torchy's Tacos and Steve Ewing and Tyler Grisham of Edge Realty Partners represented World of Beer.
