RIVER EDGE, N.J. — Cushman & Wakefield has brokered the $3.1 million sale of River Edge Town Mall, a 21,537-square-foot retail property located about 15 miles northwest of Manhattan. The property sits on 1.5 acres and was fully leased to five tenants at the time of sale. Andy Schwartz, Jordan Sobel, Andre Balthazard and Dan Bottiglieri of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Kamack Associates LLC, and procured the undisclosed buyer in the transaction.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. — The Connell Co. will open a 25,000-square-foot fitness facility at The Park, the locally based developer’s 185-acre mixed-use redevelopment in the Northern New Jersey community of Berkeley Heights. The facility will be known as FIELDHOUSE and will offer fitness regimens such as Pilates, yoga and boxing. Members will also have access to a game room, a meditation room, nap and recovery rooms, a health bar and personal trainers and in-house nutritionists. The opening is slated for March.
PLEASANTON, CALIF. — Gantry has arranged an $8.6 million permanent loan to refinance Oak Hills Shopping Center, located at 5410-5480 Sunol Blvd. in the Bay Area city of Pleasanton. Raley’s grocery, BMO Bank, Mountain Mike’s Pizza, Jim’s Country Restaurant, Gymboree and Brick Fitness are tenants at the 120,000-square-foot retail center. Mitch Zeemont, Tony Kaufmann and Alex Poulos of Gantry arranged the financing for the borrower, a private real estate entity. One of Gantry’s correspondent life company lenders provided the 12-year, fixed-rate loan with a 20-year amortization.
Hanley Investment Group Negotiates $3.2M Sale of Starbucks-Occupied Property in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES — Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors has arranged the sale of a single-tenant restaurant property with a drive-thru at 1789 W. Jefferson Blvd. in Los Angeles. A private investor based in Los Angeles sold the asset to a Southern California-based private investor for $3.2 million. Starbucks Coffee occupies the 1,486-square-foot building, which was built in 2017. Jeff Lefko and Bill Asher of Hanley Investment Group represented the seller, while Ryan Sharpe of Kidder Mathews represented the buyer in the deal.
TAMPA, FLA. — LD&D, an investment, development and design firm headquartered in Miami, has unveiled plans for its $200 million Cass Square mixed-use project in downtown Tampa. LD&D plans to break ground on Phase I of the project, a luxury multifamily tower, this summer. The 28-story multifamily building will be called DoMo at Cass Square. The high-rise community will offer 360 units, as well as more than 45,000 square feet of amenities, a 586-space parking podium and 32,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. Planned amenities include a wellness area, 10,000 square feet of co-working space, a pickleball court and a sky lounge on the 26th floor. Future phases of Cass Square will include various retail offerings and a 10-story hotel. The development will also feature a pedestrian paseo connecting the residential and hotel sections with restaurants and other retail experiences. LD&D has partnered with Dynamic Group and Marriott to develop the hotel portion, which will be a 178-key Element by Westin property. Amenities will include a fitness center with food and beverage programs and a pool. Rooms will feature double-height ceilings and windows. PEACHTREE CITY, GA. — Nuveen Real Estate has acquired Peachtree Crossing, an 80,748-square-foot shopping center located in Peachtree City, roughly 30 miles outside Atlanta. Harbour Real Estate Partners sold the property for an undisclosed price. Brad Buchanan, Jim Hamilton and Andrew Michols of JLL represented the seller in the transaction. Built in 1978 and renovated in 2011, the center was fully leased at the time of sale to tenants including The Fresh Market, Peachtree City Eye Center, Bintelli Golf Carts, Heirloom Market, Mina’s Hallmark, Hollywood Feed, Campanile’s Home Inside & Out, Georgia Shrimp Co. and W. Daly Salon. Situated at 100 N. Peachtree Parkway, the center is located approximately 15 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
LITTLE FERRY, N.J. — Launch Entertainment will open a 31,842-square-foot indoor trampoline park in the Northern New Jersey community of Little Ferry. The entertainment operator will backfill a space formerly occupied by grocer HMart within a 155,444-square-foot shopping center at 260 Bergen Turnpike. SARASOTA, FLA. — Colliers has arranged the $30.5 million sale of Glengary Shoppes, a 95,489-square-foot shopping center located along South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. University Park, Fla.-based Benderson Development purchased the property from Jacksonville-based REIT Regency Centers. Brad Peterson and Whitaker Leonhardt of Colliers represented the seller in the transaction. Built in 1995, Glengary Shoppes was 97 percent leased at the time of sale to tenants such as Best Buy and Barnes & Noble. Regions Bank and IHOP occupy outparcels at the shopping center.
KYLE, TEXAS — GBT Realty Corp., a developer based in metropolitan Nashville, will build The Shops at The Brick & Mortar District, a 42,000-square-foot shopping in the southern Austin suburb of Kyle. A 23,250-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store will anchor the center, which will be situated within the 2,200-acre Plum Creek master-planned development. Vertical construction is scheduled to begin this quarter, and completion is slated for spring 2025.
PITTSBURGH — North Carolina-based grocer The Fresh Market will open a 32,131-square-foot store in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood. The building at 5880 Centre Ave. was originally constructed in 2002 for Whole Foods Market, which vacated the space in 2022 for a larger store on nearby Penn Avenue. Herky Pollock of CBRE represented the undisclosed landlord in the lease negotiations. Brian Kerr of Hanna Langholz Wilson Ellis represented the tenant. The store will be Fresh Market’s first in Pittsburgh.
