CANTON, MASSACHUSETTS — Especially for Pets has signed on for 5,025 square feet of space at The Village Shoppes in Canton. The store is set to open this June. Owned by The Wilder Companies, The Village Shoppes is a 282,800-square-foot, open-air lifestyle center located at the intersection of Route 27 and Washington Street. The center includes 40 merchants such as Shaw’s, Jos. A. Bank, Ann Taylor Loft, Talbots, Bertucci’s, and Starbucks.

MIAMI — The local architecture firm Leo A Daly has been selected to design 60,000 square feet of retail space surrounding the new Florida Marlins baseball stadium in Miami. Nineteen companies were competing for the project, which is part of the 495,000 square feet of retail and commercial space planned to spread across four five-story structures. The project also includes designing the 5,800-space Stadium Site Parking Complex.

EAST AURORA, N.Y. — The Buffalo, N.Y., office of Pyramid Brokerage Co. has arranged the sale of a 2.2-acre land parcel, located at the intersection of Main and Olean streets in East Aurora, for the construction of a CVS/pharmacy store. The project will consist of the relocation of an existing pharmacy. CVS Albany LLC purchased the property for $1.9 million. Zaremba Group is the construction project’s developer. Arthur Judelsohn and David Seider of Pyramid Brokerage negotiated the transaction. The seller was undisclosed.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS — Fort Worth, Texas-based Speed Fab-Crete has completed construction of a 17,000-square-foot retail outlet for SIX & Mango Co., a construction equipment sales and rental company. The new building is located at 4011 W. Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie; it replaces the retailer’s west Dallas location. The facility includes showroom space, a product display area, a parts department, sales and administrative offices, service work bays and a mezzanine for storage. The project was designed by Fort Worth-based Callahan & Freeman Architects.

WILSONVILLE, ORE. — Locally-owned Costa Pacific Communities, in partnership with Arbor Custom Homes and Riverstone Property Management, is opening the Villebois Sunday Market at Villebois Village Center in Wilsonville. The market will feature locally based vendors, including Unger Farms, Canby Asparagus Farm, Ken & June’s Hazelnuts, Oregon City, Ore.-based Alita’s Garden and Red Dragon Nursery. Additional vendors include The Village Waffle Baker, SweeTreats, Humdinger Kettle Korn, JGelati Italian Ice, Haagenson’s Catering & BBQ Ribslayer To Go, Ilona’s Bead Werk and Sophisticated Beads.

CARLISLE, PA. — Wolfe & Shearer Realtors completed the sale of the former Red Devil Restaurant & Lounge, located at 14-16 N. Pitt S. in Carlisle. The buyer, Bruges Properties, plans to renovate the property and open a fine dining restaurant this summer. Bill Shearer of Wolfe & Shearer represented the buyer. The undisclosed seller was represented by Wayne Deakin, also of Wolfe & Shearer. The purchase price was not disclosed.

SPRING, TEXAS — The Houston office of Stan Johnson Co. (SJC) has completed the sale of an approximately 1.9-acre ground lease, located at the northwest corner of Interstate 45 and Louetta Road in Spring, for $1.61 million. The property currently contains an 8,000-square-foot Cheddar’s Casual Café restaurant. SJC’s Daniel Herrold and Hunter Haggard represented the seller, Houston-based Louetta Towne Center Ltd. Jay Levelll of Charlotte, N.C.-based Berkeley Capital Advisors represented the buyer, a New York-based individual investor participating in a 1031 exchange.

SANFORD, FLA. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of a property leased to Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins between two undisclosed developers for $687,450. The property is located at 3768 S. Orlando Dr. in Sanford. Kevin Yaryan and Patrick Skinner of Marcus & Millichap’s Orlando, Fla., office represented the seller, and Michael Lombardi of the firm’s New Jersey office represented the buyer.

CHINO HILLS, CALIF. — SKT Investments has acquired Crossroads Marketplace, a 539,270-square-foot retail center located at the corner of Peyton Drive and State Route 71 in Chino Hills. The property sold for $79 million. Current tenants include PetSmart, Best Buy, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Steinmart, Sport Chalet and CVS/pharmacy. Philip Voorhees, Todd Goodman and Kirk Brummer of CB Richard Ellis represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.

KANSAS CITY, KAN. — Best Buy has become the first tenant to open at Plaza at the Speedway, an 850,000-square-foot retail development located at 10500 Parallel Pkwy. in Kansas City. The 45,000-square-foot Best Buy will soon be joined by anchor Walmart Supercenter, which is also scheduled to open this year. The project is being leased by Kansas City, Mo.-based Block & Company Inc. Additional retail and restaurant tenants will be announced soon.
