WILLIAMSTON, N.C. — The Salvation Army has opened a Salvation Army Family Store in Williamston. The 3,200-square-foot facility is located at Roanoke Landing, which is a shopping center situated on the northeast corner of east Boulevard and Park Street. Pam Harrelson of Centro Properties Group provided in-house representation for the landlord, Centro Properties Group, in the transaction.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. — Phil Voorhees, Patrick Toomey and Megan Read of CB Richard Ellis represented the sellers, David and Diana Bonadonna, in the disposition of Shore House Café, a 5,690-square-foot restaurant located at 520 Main St. in Huntington Beach. The property sold to a private investor for $1.8 million. The buyer plans to continue restaurant operations on the site as an owner/user after an extensive renovation.

NORTH PORT, FLA. — Patriot Self-Storage and Passco Companies Development are opening two Class A self-storage facilities in North Port. The three-story, climate-controlled properties are located at 2245 Bobcat Trail Center Rd. and 6029 Talon Bay Dr. The companies acquired the two development parcels for approximately $7 million and began construction on the combined 200,000-square-foot facilities in June 2008.

TILDEN, PA. — Ironwood Property Group has purchased 63 acres of land in Tilden for the construction of Tilden Ridge, a 400,000-square-foot regional shopping center. Slated for a fall 2010 opening, the center will feature a 152,000-square-foot Wal-Mart, a 156,000-square-foot Lowe’s Home Improvement Store, 60,000 square feet of inline retail and five free-standing parcels. The site is situated at the intersection of Route 61 and 78. Glenn Marvin of Metro Commercial Real Estate is handling the leasing for the center.

GOODYEAR, ARIZ. — Kitchell Development and Newland Communities have partnered to develop Mountain Ranch Marketplace, a 22-acre shopping center located at the entrance to the master-planned Estrella community in Goodyear. The 109,000-square-foot first phase is currently under construction. The center will be anchored by a 49,343-square-foot Bashas’ Supermarket, which is slated to open in November. Other signed tenants include Mini-Skool Early Learning Centers, Chase, Walgreens, Papa John’s, Great Clips, The UPS Store, Estrella Family Cosmetic Dentistry and Nails of the World. Designed by Butler Design Group in a cottage-bungalow style, the center will offer 165,000 square feet of grocery and retail space when completed.

LAS VEGAS — Chris Cunning of Marcus & Millichap’s Las Vegas office represented both parties in the disposition and acquisition of Parksale Plaza, a 27,850-square-foot shopping center in Las Vegas. Located at 4171-4213 Boulder Highway, the property sold for $4 million or $144 per square foot. At the time of acquisition, the property was 100 percent occupied by six tenants.

ALEXANDRIA, LA. — An 18,000-square-foot Staples will open its doors at Stirling Properties’ 190,000-square-foot MacArthur Village shopping center April 24. The project marks the last phase of renovations to the center, which is located at 1400 MacArthur Dr. in Alexandria. The shopping center, which was built in the 1950s, is anchored by a 66,612-square-foot Kroger and a 25,000-square-foot Hastings Entertainment. Additional tenants include Capital One Commercial Banking, Ci Ci’s Pizza, Coldwell Banker, Sally Beauty Supply and Picadilly.

GLENVIEW, ILL. — Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.-based Mid-America Asset Management has arranged the leasing of 3,000 square feet of space at Plaza del Prado, a 129,111-square-foot, grocery-anchored shopping center located in Glenview. The space will be occupied by Blufish Sushi, which plans to open in June 2009. Mid-America’s Marget Graham and Kitsy Ritter, the exclusive leasing representatives for the shopping center, represented the landlord in lease negotiations.

MARTINSBURG, W. VA. — Birmingham, Ala.-based AIG Baker Shopping Center Properties will open the 420,000-square-foot The Commons shopping center in July. Located at the intersection of Interstate 81 and Route 45 in Martinsburg, the $65 million property spans 50 acres. Tenants will include Target, Dick’s Clothing and Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Books-A-Million, PetSmart, Staples, Michaels, T.J. Maxx and Bed Bath and Beyond.
