CITRUS HEIGHTS, CALIF. — Capmark Finance Inc. has originated an $84 million loan for Steadfast Commercial Properties for the acquisition of Sunrise Mall. Major tenants of the retail property include Macy’s, JC Penney and Sears. John Fett of Capmark Finance’s Roseville, Calif., office secured the fixed-rate loan, which was provided by AXA Equitable.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Leesburg Village-Columbia, a Georgia limited liability company, has purchased Leesburg Village Shopping Center, a 50,574-square-foot, 6-acre center in Columbia, from Leesburg Village LLC, for $3 million. The property is anchored by a 35,560-square-foot Food Lion, and is located at 2900 Leesburg Rd. Victor John of Columbia-based NAI Avant brokered the transaction.

The 6.6-acre site will include the 60,000-square-foot Cub Foods, as well as three retail buildings totaling 14,175 square feet. The project is applying for LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. It is being developed by Minnetonka, Minn.-based Oppidan.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Rose Hill Group of WNY LTD has arranged $1.88 million in permanent financing for a new retail store in Syracuse. Located with visibility along Route 481, the 11,598-square-foot project is fully occupied by Kinney Drugs. Thomas Grzebinski of The Rose Hill Group arranged the financing for the undisclosed borrower through a correspondent life insurance company.
ANAHEIM, CALIF. — M&A Gabaee has purchased a two-building retail center, which is located at 1020-1098 N. Euclid Ave. in Anaheim, for $3.6 million. The center consists of a 32,800-square-foot building, which is leased to Dearden’s, and a 2,300-square-foot facility, which is occupied by a non-commercial insurance agency. Tanel Harunzade of Charles Dunn Company represented the buyer; Cari Widman, also of Charles Dunn Company, represented the seller, HEM Properties LLC, in the transaction.
MESA, ARIZ. — Flagstaff, Ariz.-based Amelia/10th LLC has purchased a 49,000-square-foot retail property located at 1600 West Main St. in Mesa. Sun Pontiac II LLC sold the property for approximately $2 million. Matt Ogle of Staubach Commercial represented the seller; Tom Semancik of Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT represented the buyer in the transaction.
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. — An undisclosed Palm Beach, Fla.-based buyer has purchased Village Plaza, a 75,823-square-foot shopping center in Daytona Beach, from Prime Equities, for $9.3 million. The center is located along Belville Road. Tenants include Verizon, Subway, Daytona Beach Tag Agency and Publix administrative offices. Jeff Pocklington, Mike Pocklington and Martin Forster of Orlando-based Pocklington, Pocklington & Forster Retail, a member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, were the sole brokers in the transaction.
GREER, S.C. — Passco Grier Piedmont has purchased Piedmont Plaza Shopping Center, located at 1326 West Wade Hampton Blvd. in Greer, from Greer/Piedmont Joint Venture, for an undisclosed amount. The buyer plans to redevelop the property with the assistance of Navarro Real Estate.
JACKSONVILLE, ILL. — St. Louis-based Walton Construction Co. has completed construction of a $15 million Wal-Mart Supercenter located in Jacksonville. The grand opening for the 200,000-square-foot retail center was held last week. During construction, 90 percent of the project subcontractors hired by Walton were residents of the Jacksonville community.
