CEDAR HILL, TEXAS — H&M, a fashion retailer, will open a new location in Cedar Hill. Spanning 21,000 square feet, the new location at Uptown Village at Cedar Hill is set to open in the fall of 2015. The store will be the company’s 15th location in Texas. The store is expected to employ 25 people.

DENTON, TEXAS — Lumber Liquidators, a retailer of hardwood flooring, has leased 7,168 square feet of retail space in Colorado Square, a shopping center in Denton. The property is located at 2305-2311 Colorado Blvd., just north of its intersection with Loop 288. Blake Shipp of The Weitzman Group arranged the lease and is the leasing agent for Colorado Square in cooperation with Metro Commercial Real Estate Services, which represented the retailer. Lumber Liquidators joins tenants including Dollar Tree and Movie Trading Co. The flooring retailer will open in May.
DALLAS — Cinépolis USA will open an eight-screen, 700-seat theater in Victory Park, a 75-acre mixed-use development in downtown Dallas. Located at the northwest corner of Victory Park Lane and High Market Street, the theater will be part of a mixed-use building, which will also include residential and retail components. Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas-Victory Park is the company’s first location in Texas. The 44,000-square-foot cinema is projected to open in 2017 and will include reclining leather seats. The Cinépolis building will also include a 640-space structured parking garage located above the ground floor retail to accommodate residents, retail customers and moviegoers. In addition, construction of a new 250-space parking facility at the south end of the district at Victory Avenue and Lamar Street is slated to begin in the next month.
LYNDHURST, OHIO — Columbus-based Steiner + Associates has arranged two retail leases at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, a suburb of Cleveland. L.L. Bean and The Capital Grille executed leases at the 610,000 square-foot mixed-use town center. The 16,000-square-foot L.L. Bean will sell active and casual apparel and footwear, outdoor gear including hiking, fly-fishing, kayaking and camping products. L.L. Bean will open in the space currently occupied by Talbots, which will be relocating to a new space within the shopping center. The Capital Grille will occupy a 9,000-square-foot space. The restaurant is known for its dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood. First Interstate Properties owns Legacy Village.
Stirling Properties, CBL & Associates Breaks Ground on 425,000 SF Shopping Center in Louisiana

LAFAYETTE, LA. — Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties Inc. have begun construction on Ambassador Town Center, a 425,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by Costco Wholesale in Lafayette. Other committed tenants include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Field & Stream, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Nordstrom Rack, Off Broadway Shoes, Chuy’s, Panera Bread, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, World of Beer and Blaze Pizza. The 58-acre site for the new shopping center is located at the corner of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Kaliste Saloom Road. The developers plan to open the project in March 2016 and expect to create approximately 2,200 construction jobs, 1,000 permanent jobs and generate nearly $9 million annually in sales taxes for the city of Lafayette.
BALTIMORE — Cronheim Mortgage Corp. has arranged $52.7 million in financing for THE AVENUE at White Marsh, a 298,000-square-foot main street lifestyle center in Baltimore’s White Marsh community. Constructed in 1997, THE AVENUE’s tenant roster includes a 16-screen AMC Theatre with an IMAX screen, Ulta Beauty, Chico’s, Old Navy, Starbucks, A.C. Moore, Staples, Carter’s, Famous Footwear and Pier 1 Imports. Andrew Stewart and Dev Morris of Cronheim arranged the seven-year, interest-only loan with a fixed interest rate of 3.35 percent on behalf of the borrower, Federal Realty Investment Trust.
NASHVILLE, TENN. — Castilleja, a lifestyle and home décor retailer, plans to open a new 2,300-square-foot store in Edgehill Village, a shopping district right off Music Row in Nashville. The store is located at 1200 Villa Place, Suite 403. The company was founded by Liz Rose, a Grammy Award-winning songwriter. The store offers a variety of home furnishings, art, clothing and gifts.
NEW YORK CITY — Eastern Consolidated has arranged the sale of two retail properties totaling $7.3 million in separate transactions. In the first deal, Walter & Samuels purchased a 3,541-square-foot retail condominium in the Flatiron District from Diamond Properties for $4.7 million. Located at 40 East 20th St., the property features 1,921 square feet of ground-level space and 1,620 square feet of basement space. The property is currently occupied by Flûte Bar & Lounge. Adelaide Polsinelli of Eastern Consolidated represented the buyer, while Peter Hauspurg, David Schechtman, Abie Kassin and Evan Papanastasiou, also of Eastern Consolidated, represented the seller. In the second transaction, a national buyer acquired a 5,200-square-foot mixed-use building located at 3914-3924 13th Ave. and 1267 40th St. in Brooklyn’s Borough Park. A local family sold the asset for $2.6 million. The two-story building features 4,034 square feet of unused and intact air rights and 95 feet of frontage along 13th Avenue. The property is currently occupied by Kid Dy No Mite Furniture, Robert’s Beauty Salon, Ari Universal Cell Phone Store and Community Home Care. Polsinelli represented the seller, while Ronda Rogovin of Eastern Consolidated represented the buyer in the transaction.
DENVER — Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo has announced plans to open its first Colorado outpost at Denver Pavilions. The 22,000-square-foot space will open in summer 2016. The retail center is located along the 16th Street Mall in the Downtown region. Colorado’s first Henry’s Tavern also recently opened at Denver Pavilions. Other activity at the center includes a major remodel at the 15-screen United Artists Theatre; the addition of Long Tall Sally; and the expansion of the H&M flagship to include a third level that features its new home accessories department and apparel designers. This H&M had also been the first one to open in Colorado in 2011. Uniqlo operates about 1,500 stores worldwide, including 39 stores along both coasts in Western outposts like San Francisco and Los Angeles. The retailer also announced plans to open its first Washington State store at the Bellevue Collection in Seattle. The Denver store will only be the second U.S.-based location that is not along a coast. Uniqlo also plans to open a store in Chicago along Michigan Avenue this fall. DENVER — MVG Development and Confluent Development Services have merged to create a single private commercial development firm in Colorado. It will operate as Confluent Development. The new firm has about $500 million in ongoing industrial, office, retail, multifamily and seniors housing developments across the U.S. Burton will lead Confluent Development’s expanded team, which is currently composed of 25 real estate and construction professionals.
