EATONTOWN, N.J. — Nordstrom Rack will open a new location at The Crossroads at Eatontown, located at 231 Highway 35 in Eatontown. The new 35,500-square-foot retail store is slated to open fall 2015. Construction for the new store is scheduled to commence this fall. Wall, N.J.-based Gerard Construction Corp. is building the new space. The Crossroads at Eatontown offers 105,735 square feet of retail space. Current tenants at the center include Macy’s Furniture and Fortunoff Backyard. Helena Loelius and Trista Ricciardelli of Sitar Realty Company-TCN Worldwide represented landlord LGR Associates in the transaction. CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Westwood Financial Corp. has signed Publix to occupy a 47,000-square-foot footprint at Steele Creek Crossing, a 77,301-square-foot shopping center located at 12810 S. Tryon St. in Charlotte. The shopping center’s tenant roster includes Rite Aid, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Little Caesars Pizza, Nationwide Insurance and H&R Block. Westwood Financial’s Steele Creek Crossing was fully leased following Publix’s lease. Steele Creek Crossing is one of seven former Bi-Lo locations that Publix has taken over in the Charlotte area.
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Crossroads Center, an 85,385-square-foot retail property in Wichita Falls. Michael Buckner and Richard Mireles of Marcus & Millichap’s Austin office marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a partnership. Chance Hales of the firm’s Fort Worth office represented the buyer, a limited liability company. Crossroads Center is located at 2708 Southwest Parkway. The property sits on 7.8 acres with 450 feet of street frontage.
FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, ILL. — IMPACT Strategies has completed construction of a HomeGoods store in Fairview Heights. The 24,000-square-foot store is located at U.S. Highway 159 across from St. Claire Square in the new Fairview City Centre. MCG Architecture of Cleveland designed the store. Since August 2013, IMPACT Strategies has built nearly 112,000-square-feet of new retail space as part of Fairview City Centre for retailers including Sports Authority, Petco, OfficeMax and Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. In phase I, IMPACT demolished the existing structure, which formerly housed a Kmart and other retailers. In spring 2014, IMPACT began phase II of construction, which included building Fresh Thyme and the space for the center’s fifth tenant, HomeGoods. Kimco Realty Corp. owns the shopping center.
NORTH ST. PAUL, MINN. — Waba Financial has acquired the Polar Plaza retail center in North St. Paul from an undisclosed seller. The 23,362-square-foot shopping center is situated on nearly 3.4 acres and is leased to a variety of retail tenants, with 7,769 square feet available for lease. Anderson Property Management will manage the shopping center. Matthew Klein of Eagan, Minn.-based KW Commercial Midwest represented the buyer.
BALTIMORE — The Greysteel Co. has brokered the $2.5 million sale of The Shops at Federal Hill, a 5,750-square-foot retail property located at 1100 Light St. in Baltimore’s historic Federal Hill neighborhood. The property is fully leased to Unleashed by Petco and Dunkin’ Donuts. Gil Neuman led the Greysteel’s Mid-Atlantic retail investment sales team in representing the seller, 28 Walker Development, as well as procuring the buyer, Federal Hill Shops LLC.
PHOENIX – Dollar Tree has opened four stores in Arizona. The locations include a 10,800-square-foot space now open at Chandler Festival in Chandler; a 10,204-square-foot space at Cotton Plaza in Surprise; an 8,625-square-foot space in Bell Camino Shopping Center in Sun City; and a 7,840-square-foot space located at the southwest corner of Guadalupe Road and Hawes Road in Mesa. Dollar Tree was represented by Kurt Kalocin of SRS.
CINCINNATI — Village Green has purchased 309 Vine St. in downtown Cincinnati and plans to redevelop the 300,000-square-foot building into a mixed-use property. The redeveloped building is set to open under a new name in 2016. Plans for the property include the addition of luxury apartments, penthouses, a market, restaurant and offices. The 1920s era, Beaux–Arts commercial building was originally an annex to the PNC Tower. In the 1800s it was the site of The Burnet Hotel, known for hosting President-elect Abraham Lincoln on his inaugural journey to Washington D.C.
CROWN POINT, IND. — Quantum Real Estate Advisors Inc. has brokered the $1.3 million sale of a 6,943-square-foot, shopping center in Crown Point. Beacon Hill Plaza is located at 10763-10771 Broadway Ave. The shopping center was fully occupied by T-Mobile, Hair Cuttery, The UPS Store, and other local and regional tenants at the time of sale. A Chicago-based developer sold the property to an Indianapolis-based acquisition company. Chad Firsel of Quantum represented the seller in the transaction.
WILMINGTON, DE. — Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC International has brokered the sale of a 3,400-square-foot restaurant and bar located at 115 East Main St. in Wilmington. Mainline Enterprises LLC purchased the property for $1.35 million from LGLB Inc. Currently doing business as 16 Mile Taphouse, the restaurant is affiliated with Georgetown’s 16 Mile Brewing Company. Joe Latina of Patterson-Woods Commercial Properties/CORFAC represented both the buyer and seller in the sale-leaseback transaction.
