WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS — Pierson Retail Advisors (PRA) has negotiated the sale of a 1,935-square-foot, single-tenant Starbucks located in Wichita Falls. PRA represented the seller, Truity Capital LLC. An out-of-state buyer purchased the asset for an undisclosed price. Starbucks recently expanded its footprint by 40 percent and renewed its lease for 10 years. Starbucks has been at the location on the southeast corner of Kemp and Kell boulevards since 2003. The entire team at PRA in Dallas handled the sale.

NASHVILLE, TENN. — American Threads, Alton Lane and Barcelona Restaurant and Wine Bar have leased space at Edgehill Village, a 56,000-square-foot retail hub in Nashville. American Threads, a women’s fashion retailer, will lease 1,529 square feet; Alton Lane, a custom menswear shop, will lease 883 square feet; and Barcelona, a Spanish tapas restaurant and wine bar, will lease 5,887 square feet, becoming the largest retail tenant at the property. Edgehill Village comprises eight masonry buildings situated near Music Row at Edgehill Avenue and Villa Place. The property formerly housed Whiteway Cleaners in the 1920s. The national tenants will move into the historic mixed-use property by the end of the year. Existing tenants at Edgehill Village include retailers Warby Parker and J. Crew Mens Shop; restaurants Old Glory and Edgehill; and major entertainment companies such as Live Nation, AEG and AC Entertainment. Edgehill Village is owned by Edgehill Village Partners, an entity including real estate developers Rob Lowe, Elliott Kyle, McClain Towery of Towery Development and Jay Weaver of Atlanta-based Weaver Capital Partners.
Brown-Forman Unveils Design Plans for Old Forester Distillery Along ‘Whiskey Row’ in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY. — Brown-Forman Corp., a Louisville-based spirits and wine company, has released 11 new renderings that detail its design for the new Old Forester Distillery, a 60,000-square-foot bourbon distilling operation and visitor experience located at 117 and 119 Main St. along Louisville’s historic “Whiskey Row.” Brown-Forman expects to produce 100,000 cases of Old Forester, a 146-year-old bourbon brand, annually at the new operation. Old Forester Distillery is scheduled to be complete by late 2017.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Beacon Partners has signed two leases with restaurateur Deedee Mills for two new dining concepts at 500 East Morehead, a seven-story office building in Uptown Charlotte. The 178,000-square-foot property is currently under construction. The two new dining concepts include The Packhouse, a Southern-themed restaurant, and Joe and Nosh, a quick service breakfast and lunch destination and coffee shop. Charles Thrift of Collett & Associates represented Beacon Partners in the lease transaction.
LANSING, MICH. — Chick-fil-A will break ground next week on a freestanding store in Lansing, kicking off the restaurant chain’s expansion across the state. Chick-fil-A will open 15 to 20 new stores within the next five years. The first building, to be located at 5617 W. Saginaw Highway in Lansing, is slated for completion this fall. The 4,971-square-foot restaurant will feature seating for 132 people with additional patio seating. The building will also include two drive-thru lanes. The second store is expected to open at Troy’s Somerset Collection by the end of the year. The remainder of the stores in the expansion will open at a rate of approximately three to four stores per year, and the franchise is considering additional locations in Kalamazoo, metro Detroit and Grand Rapids. Chick-fil-A currently operates two stores in the state of Michigan, one at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and one on the Oakland University campus in Rochester.
SUPERIOR, WIS. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the $2 million sale of a 3,290-square-foot building net leased to Arby’s in Superior, the northwest corner of the state. A limited liability company sold the asset, located at 3821 Tower Ave., to an undisclosed buyer. Sean Doyle, Matthew Hazelton, Cory Villaume and AJ Prins of Marcus & Millichap listed the property on behalf of the seller.
ATLANTA — Charlotte-based FCA Partners has announced three new tenants joining The Exchange, a 44,500-square-foot retail center in Atlanta’s Buckhead district. The new tenants joining the previously announced Storico Fresco Pasta and YEAH! Burger include SculptHouse, Kohler Signature Showroom and Kale Me Crazy. SculptHouse, a boutique fitness destination, will occupy 3,600 square feet; Kohler Signature Showroom, a home furnishing store, will occupy 7,100 square feet at the “elbow” of the property along the connecting paseo; and Kale Me Crazy will occupy 1,300 square feet for its newest superfood café. The project is a redevelopment of the former Buckhead Exchange. FCA Partners expects for construction on the redevelopment to wrap up this month. CAPE CORAL, FLA. — Stiles Realty has signed Starbucks Coffee and Chipotle Mexican Grill to lease outparcel space at Coralwood Center, a 349,205-square-foot retail center located at 2301 S. Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral. The two tenants will open at the 6,038-square-foot outparcel this fall. The retail center is currently 73 percent leased to tenants such as Ulta Beauty, LA Fitness, Bealls Outlet, JC Penney, Lenny’s Sub Shop and the newly opened HomeGoods. Jill Gull of Stiles Realty represented the landlord, Siles and GRE Coralwood LP, in the two lease transactions. Michael Daly of LandQwest Commercial represented Starbucks, and Michael Weiss of SRS Real Estate Partners represented Chipotle.
LAKE CHARLES, LA. — Fast-casual Newk’s Eatery opened its 100th restaurant in Lake Charles on April 4. The restaurant is the first Newk’s franchise location for Southeast Restaurant Group, a New Orleans-based veteran operator of franchise and independent restaurants, and the third restaurant nationwide to feature Newk’s “Generation 2” restaurant design. The Jackson, Miss.-based brand’s newest restaurant marks the halfway point in its aggressive growth plan to open 200 units by 2019. The restaurant is one of 15 units planned by Southeast Restaurant Group for the southwest Louisiana and southeast Texas region over the next seven years. The group’s development agreement complements the brand’s ongoing expansion efforts along the Gulf Coast and is Newk’s largest build-out commitment to date.
KATY, TEXAS — Dallas-based Front Burner Restaurants will break ground on a Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar location in Katy at the 120-acre Verde Parc. The 8,500-square-foot restaurant will open this fall and will be situated on a 2.5-acre tract fronting I-10. Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar offers entrées like mesquite grilled steak and fish and smoked duck, as well as appetizers like green tomatoes and deviled eggs. The bar is stocked with 24 craft beers, 100 small batch bourbons, whiskeys and scotch and 30 varieties of wine. Whiskey Cake currently operates locations in northwest San Antonio, Plano and northwest Oklahoma City. Parkside NEC Grand Parkway/I-10 Ltd. was the seller. Hugh Ruggles of NewQuest Properties was the deal’s sole broker. Parkside Capital bought the Verde Parc land in January 2014 from Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group.
