SchenkelShultz Architecture, along with design-build partner Turner Construction Co., designed the center to achieve LEED Silver certification. Included in the building is ballroom and banquet space, a commercial-grade kitchen, fitness center, media center, senior center, an outdoor stage, two basketball courts and a swimming pool.

TALLADEGA, ALA. — Walker & Dunlop has arranged a $7.8 million loan through HUD's Section 223(a)(7) Streamline Refinance Program for the 234-bed Talladega Healthcare Center, located at 616 Chaffee St. in Talladega. Jay Healy of Walker & Dunlop's Atlanta office secured the 30-year fully amortizing loan.
DECATUR, GA. — Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated the sale of the 122,000-square-foot 160 Clairemont, a Class A office building located at 160 Clairemont Ave. in Decatur. The building was 78 percent leased at the time of the sale. Stewart Calhoun, David Meline, Samir Idris and Casey Masters of Cushman & Wakefield's Atlanta office represented Lexington Realty Trust, the seller, in the transaction. Miami-based Parmenter Realty Partners was the buyer.
CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. — The 21,200-square-foot Brookside Square, a Publix-shadow anchored retail property located at 10611 Wiles Rd. in Coral Springs, has sold for $2.42 million. Barry Wolfe of Marcus & Millichap's Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office represented the seller, an individual/personal trust, in the transaction and procured the buyer, a limited liability company.
GASTONIA, N.C. — Calkain Cos. has arranged the $2.3 million sale of a 10,900-square-foot retail property, located in Gastonia. Andrew Fallon of Calkain Cos.' ATHENS, GA. — Beech Street Capital has secured a $19.85 million refinance loan for the 352-unit Legacy Mill Apartments, located at 125 Jennings Mill Pkwy. in Athens. Chad Hagwood of Beech Street's Birmingham, Ala., office secured the 10-year loan with a 30-year amortization schedule.
CHARLESTON, S.C. — RLJ Lodging Trust has purchased the 176-room Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Historic District, located at 125 Calhoun St. in Charleston, from Noble Investment Group for $42 million. A new tower was recently completed at the hotel, which added an additional 53 guest rooms and 2,100 square feet of meeting space. Atlanta-based Hodges Ward Elliott represented the seller in the transaction.
LAUREL, MD. — Federal Capital Partners has purchased the 386-unit Montpelier Crossing, located at 9689 Muirkirk Rd. in Laurel, for $33.6 million. The buyer plans to complete a more than $5 million renovation to improve common areas and address deferred maintenance items. CBRE represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.
