TAMPA, FLA. — Walnut Creek, Calif.-based Central Garden & Pet has signed a 5-year lease renewal with Exeter Property Group for 128,886 square feet of industrial space in Tampa. The property, located at 11316 N. 46th St., features 25-foot ceilings, fire sprinklers, seven cross docks and 170 parking spaces. Todd Brandon of UGL Equis’ Tampa office and Thomas Wenkstern and Stuart Smith of the firm’s Dallas office represented Central Garden & Pet. Rian Smith of Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa office represented the landlord.

TAMARAC, FLA. — Tamarac Commons LLC has acquired the 27,828-square-foot Tamarac Commons office development from Yomtob Acquisitions for $2.57 million. The two-building property is located at 7300-7310 W. McNab Rd. in Tamarac. Scott O’Donnell, Dominic Montazemi, Miguel Alcivar and Kirk Nelson of CB Richard Ellis’ Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office brokered the sale.

FORT MYERS, FLA. — 5999 South Point has acquired the 58,670-square-foot Southpointe Commons shopping center from a fund advised by Prudential Real Estate Investors for an undisclosed amount. The Class A shopping center, located on College Parkway in Fort Myers, is anchored by a 44,270-square-foot Publix. Additional tenants include Blockbuster, GNC and Papa Johns. Daryl Carter and Orme Miller of Maury L. Carter & Associates represented 5999 South Point. CB Richard Ellis represented the seller.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Walmart has signed a lease with an undisclosed landlord to occupy a 45,000-square-foot in a former Kmart store in Roanoke Rapids. The property is located in the 181,625-square-foot Becker Village Mall near the intersection of I-95 and Julian R. Allsbrook Highway. JC Penney, Java Joe’s, Bella Vita Salon and Spa and Bojangles are also housed in the center, which is leased by Divaris Real Estate.

GEORGETOWN, KY. — 102 North Bradford Lane LLC has acquired a Pizza Hut store in a sale-leaseback with NPC International for $1.36 million. The NNN-leased Georgetown property was built this year. PRG Investments’ Reed Weinberg and Fred Sutterlin represented the buyer; Josh Veetjner of GVA Kidder Matthews represented NPC International.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Tri-South Investments has purchased a 5,577-square-foot medical office building from an undisclosed party in a sale-leaseback for $1.1 million. Located at 2802 McLamb Dr. in Goldsboro, the property houses the Wayne Radiology practice. Gary Lyons of Sperry Van Ness’ Raleigh, N.C., office represented the seller; Durham, N.C.-based Commercial USA’s Merle White represented the buyer.

ALAMO AND NICHOLLS, GA. — Turner Construction Co. will oversee the expansion and renovation of two Georgia prisons, an undertaking totaling $52 million. The firm will add two dormitory units, which will house 792 prisoners, to the Wheeler County Correctional Facility in Alamo. The remainder of the $27 million project includes renovating dormitories and common areas and installing a perimeter stun fence. The $25 million renovation of the Coffee County Correctional Facility in Nicholls also includes renovating dormitories and installing a stun fence. Completion of both projects is expected next June. Both facilities are operated by Corrections Corp. of America.
