FORT MYERS, FLA. — The Fort Myers-based division of Owen-Ames Kimball Co. has completed construction of a 9,500-square-foot United Way building. The facility will serve as the operations building for United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades. The property includes a conference room and office space and is equipped with an emergency power source and security controls.

FALLS CHURCH, VA. — Besancon has borrowed $2.56 million from John Marshall Bank for its 22,453-square-foot office building in Falls Church. The property is located at 4900 Leesburg Pike and houses 32 tenants. The 5-year loan carries a 25-year amortization schedule. Matthew Kohlhoss and Gary McGlynn of NorthMarq Capital’s Washington, D.C., office arranged the loan.
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — Tampa Bay, Fla.-based Hawkins Construction has completed the Shoppes at the Royale, an $11 million, 91,000-square-foot center in St. Petersburg. Located within the Tyrone Shopping District on 66th Street North, the center is anchored by Publix, with additional tenants such as Rib City Grill, Jimmy John`s Gourmet Sandwiches, Massage Envy, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Chipotle Mexican Grill.
SANFORD, FLA. — Florida-based Thomas D. Wood and Co. has secured approximately $1.9 million in financing for Sanford Towne Square in Sanford. The loan was financed at an interest rate of 7.375 percent, with a fully amortizing 10-year term and loan-to-value of 37 percent. The 88,905-square-foot retail center is located at 1500 South French Avenue and is anchored by Winn-Dixie.
OLDSMAR, FLA. — Grubb & Ellis | Commercial Florida has negotiated a long-term lease of 24,300-square-feet of industrial space at a facility at the intersection of Commerce Boulevard and Vollmer Avenue in Oldsmar. Michael Scott and Jan Boltres of Grubb & Ellis | Commercial Florida negotiated the transaction on behalf of the tenant, Fort Mill, S.C.-based Sunbelt Rentals. The landlord is Vollmer Corp. based in Clearwater, Fla.
HOLLYWOOD, FLA. — NAI Rauch Weaver Norfleet Kurtz & Co. has sold two adjacent properties, totaling 6,600 square feet, at 6611 Moseley St. and 1900 NW 66th Ave. in Hollywood. Formerly Children’s Castle, the properties were sold on behalf of the New York-based lender Business Loan Center. The buyer was North Miami-based Inter Invest Properties, and the price was not disclosed. NAI’s Bill McConnell negotiated the sale.
AVE MARIA, FLA. — Orlando, Fla.-based Keene Construction Co. has completed La Piazza, a 39,392-square-foot shopping center located in Ave Maria. The center is anchored by a 30,907-square-foot Publix grocery store and features 8,485 square feet of additional space. The project architect was Memphis, Tenn.-based Looney Ricks Kiss, Architects. Keene has built more than 140 Publix locations for the Lakeland, Fla.-based grocery chain.
SMYRNA, TENN. — Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based Swanson Developments has acquired a 126,000-square-foot industrial property, located at 611 Enon Springs Rd. in Smyrna. The tilt-up, cross-docked facility is situated across from a Nissan auto manufacturing plant and was purchased from a Japanese corporation. Swanson is presently marketing it for lease to warehouse or manufacturing users. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
RIVIERA BEACH, FLA. — NAI Rauch, Weaver, Norfleet, Kurtz & Co. (NAI) has brokered the subleasing of 76,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, located at 1371 SW 8th St. in Riviera Beach. Palm Beach County will be subleasing the space for a 5-year term for the Supervisor of Elections. The sublease is valued at $1.52 million. The sublessor, Huttig Building Products, will continue to run its South Florida business operations out of a portion of the building. ANDERSON, S.C. — Greenville, S.C.-based RealtyLink has completed a new 10,000-square-foot Ulta beauty store, located in Anderson. The store is situated on Clemson Boulevard at the entrance to Midtowne Park, a 173,630-square-foot, Kohl’s-anchored shopping center that the company also developed. Ulta currently has approximately 320 stores in 36 states.
