LEESBURG, GA. — Atlanta-based Hand Properties is developing a 45,300-square-foot Publix store at Lee Crossings in Leesburg. The property, located at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Leesburg Road, also will feature 11,200 square feet of shop space and two outparcels. Benning Construction Co. will serve as general contractor. Delivery is expected in October of next year.

FLORIDA — CFH Group has acquired two Florida apartment complexes spanning 460 units from Denver-based AIMCO for $25 million. Tomas Cabrerizo and Sheldon Lowe of CFH Group purchased the 260-unit Island Club Apartments, located on Atlantic Avenue in Pompano Beach, Fla., for $18.7 million. CFH’s Cabrerizo and Maurice Cayon also bought the 200-unit Dunes Apartment Homes in Indian Harbour Beach for $6.3 million. The properties are 96 percent occupied and 99 percent occupied, respectively.
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Malvern, Penn.-based Liberty Property Trust has sold the 65,765-square-foot Bank of America Plaza to Acorn Ridge Plaza LLC for $4.12 million. The four-story property, which is 75 percent occupied, is located at 6622 S. Southpoint Dr. in Jacksonville. Karl Johnson of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller.
GEORGIA AND SOUTH CAROLINA — Atlanta-based Benning Construction has been tapped to build two 45,000-square-foot Publix stores in Leesburg, Ga., and Hardeeville, S.C. The two properties will be delivered during the third quarter of next year.
GREENVILLE, S.C. — The partnership 400 Augusta Street Investors has purchased the former Claussen’s Bakery Building, a more than 40,000-square-foot industrial property, from a private seller for an undisclosed amount. Located at 400 Augusta St. in Greenville, the warehouse was built in the 1930s and has been vacant since late last year. Harper Corp. will help with cleanup efforts and future renovations of the property.
MIAMI — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of a 14,820-square-foot Walgreens between two Florida-based limited liability companies for $7.4 million. The property, which was built earlier this year, is located at 12711 S.W. 200th St. in Miami. Drew Kristol and Kirk Olson of the firm’s Miami office represented the seller. The firm’s Deme G. Mekras and Victor M. Garcia represented the buyer.
ATLANTA — Atlanta-based RCG Ventures has acquired three retail properties in the Southeast totaling more than 250,000 square feet. All the assets were sold by private parties for undisclosed amounts. The firm purchased the 213,164-square-foot Hampton Plaza, located at 2864 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in Clarksville, Tenn. Also purchased were the 103,000-square-foot Laurens Plaza, located on East Main Street in Laurens, S.C., and the 43,132-square-foot Talladega Shopping Center, located at 803 E. Battle St. in Talladega, Ala.
DAHLONEGA, GA. — Gold Creek Food has purchased a 342,352-square-foot industrial property from Mohawk Industries for $2.1 million. The property is located on 35 acres at 215 Pine Tree Lane in Dahlonega. A former carpet yarn spinning facility, the warehouse will be used for chicken processing and cooking. Industrial Properties Group represented the buyer in the transaction. David Barber of Philadelphia-based Binswanger represented the seller.
JUPITER, FLA. — Redina Cos. is working toward a February 2011 completion of a 63,000-square-foot headquarters building for G4S Wackenhut, a security provider. The build-to-suit property will be located near the corner of Parkside Drive and University Boulevard in the Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter. The building will be constructed to green specifications and will house the firm’s sales and technology centers, training institute and additional business units.
HUNTSVILLE, ALA. — The Hampshire Companies has disposed of a 44,271-square-foot retail property, selling it to Huntsvillepub LLC for an undisclosed amount. The building is located on more than 6 acres at 12796 Bailey Cove Rd. SE in Huntsville. Publix formerly occupied the space.
