Twenty retail shops also occupy space in the building. The property, located at 1050 Connecticut Ave. in Washington, is owned by Lerner Enterprises and The Tower Companies. Renovations include enhanced access-control systems, a new elevator system and additional bike racks.

GAINESVILLE, FLA. — The Florida division of Clancy & Theys Construction Co. has completed a 12,417-square-foot sanctuary at the St. Patrick Catholic Church. The property, which is owned by the Diocese of St. Augustine, is located at 412 N.E. 16th Ave. in Gainesville. The building includes acoustical panels on the perimeter walls and a cathedral-style open ceiling. Gainesville-based Brame Architects designed the church.
CLAYTON, N.C. — LSF5 has sold a Lone Star Steak House restaurant to an undisclosed party for an undisclosed amount. The property is located at 13049 U.S. Highway 70 West in Clayton. Morrison Divine of Sperry Van Ness’ Raleigh, N.C., office and Kase Abushark of the firm’s Irvine, Calif., office represented the seller; Charlie Barzola of Raleigh-based Commercial Carolina represented the buyer.
GEORGIA AND FLORIDA — Orlando, Fla.-based Cuhachi & Peterson Architects is working on six retail design projects in Georgia and Florida. The firm is working on the renovation of two Pizza Hut stores in Claxton and Glenville, Ga., and two more stores in Savannah, Ga. Each store encompasses 1,000 square feet of space. In Lady Lake, Fla., the firm is designing interiors for the 2,300-square-foot Irish Café and the 1,700-square-foot Gold-In-Art store. The Lady Lake properties are located in the Village Crossroads shopping center on U.S. Highway 441.
PENSACOLA, FLA. — Developers Diversified Corp. has sold the 259,392-square-foot Palafox Square shopping center to Yale Realty Services Corp. for an undisclosed amount. The Pensacola property is anchored by a 219,742-square-foot Wal-Mart Supercenter and is fully occupied by Office Depot, GameStop, Radio Shack, Fantastic Sams, GNC and Sally Beauty Supply, among others. Jim Michalak, Anthony Blanco and Lenard Williams of Plaza Advisors represented the seller.
CLEVELAND, TENN. — Dayton, Tenn.-based Dillard Construction has broken ground on the first phase of Green Development Group’s 26,000-square-foot Ocoee Commons Professional Office Park, located on Ocoee Crossing in Cleveland. The initial phase includes 13,738 square feet, with the remainder of the space being constructed during phase two. A little more than 2,000 square feet has already been leased.
MIAMI — Orlando, Fla.-based Cuhaci & Peterson Architects is working on a redesign of two Winn-Dixie supermarkets in Miami. The firm will design new spaces for the 50,000-square-foot store on N.W. 41st Street, and the 61,000-square-foot store on N.W. 11th Street.
FORT MYERS, FLA. — Fort Myers-based J.L. Wallace is constructing the 1-acre Bunche Beach Preserve in Fort Myers. The property is located on John Morris Road. Bunche Beach Preserve will include green features like boardwalks and piers made from recycled materials and restrooms that use reclaimed rainwater. Electricity for the site will be generated by the sun.
GREER, S.C. — Weil Brothers-Cotton has sold the 200,000-square-foot C&W warehouses to KIDCO for an undisclosed amount. The property is located at 560 Gilliam Rd. in Greer. Bentley Commercial/CORFAC International’s Laurens Nicholson and Richard Barrett represented the buyer. Brett Chambless of Chambless Partners represented the seller.
MIAMI — Quartin Limited Partnership has sold the 119,071-square-foot Tropical Paperbox warehouse to DAHRO for $6.4 million. DAHRO will use a portion of the property, located at 7000 N.W. 25th St. in Miami, as warehouse space and will lease the remainder. Jay Ziv of Colliers Abood Wood-Fay brokered the transaction.
