TAMPA, FLA. — Nova Southeastern University of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has leased 81,500 square feet in Tampa’s Sabal Corporate Center from Orlando, Fla.-based Eola Capital. The university plans to open the Tampa Student Educational Center, which will allow students to complete degrees in anesthesiologist assistance as well as other pursuits. Sabal Corporate Center is a three-story office building located at 3632 Queen Palm Dr. in Tampa. Palmaple Corp.’s Jamie Puddicombe represented Nova in negotiations for the 10-year lease. Nova will move in during the first quarter of 2009.
ORLANDO, FLA. — Chicago-based Lillibridge is currently developing the 60,000-square-foot Surgical Medical Plaza and will welcome a 12,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center as the anchor tenant. The medical office building sits on East Orlando Hospital’s campus at 7727 Lake Underhill Rd. in Orlando. Tenants will include doctors with a mix of medical specialties. Delivery is expected next fall.
LAKELAND, FLA. — Country View Realty and Development and Bridgewater Commercial Park LLC have finished construction on four warehouses totaling 10,800 square feet each. The buildings can each be divided into four units and feature roll-up doors and dock heights. The properties are located in Bridgewater Commercial Park in Lakeland, a site that can accommodate 10 more warehouses of comparable size.
BRANDON, FLA. — RHK Properties has purchased 1.34 acres of land in the Eichenfeld Oaks Medical Center from Lang Environment Management and Resources for $810,000. RHK plans to build a 9,000-square-foot medical facility to be anchored by a national medical services tenant. Tampa, Fla.-based Andretta Marsh Properties’ Jack Brubaker and Bill Besselieu represented the seller.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Harrison Street Partners and The Preiss Company have borrowed $23.1 million for their 168-unit University Village Apartments. The student housing complex, located off I-85 in Charlotte, has the capacity to house up to 600 students. Financing for the loan was provided by GreenPark Financial. Bat Barber of Medalist Capital’s Raleigh, N.C., office secured the loan.
ORLANDO, FLA. — MAS Cos. has purchased the 81,000-square-foot 8350 Parkline Regional Airport Center from West Palm Beach, Fla.-based McCraney Property Co. for $11.25 million. The sale of the Orlando industrial building also included an additional 6.4 acres of vacant land. NAI Realvest’s George Livingston and Christy Alexander represented the buyer, and David Murphy of CBRE Orlando represented MAS Cos.
MCDONOUGH, GA. — CDP McDonough Westridge has sold a 13,813-square-foot CVS/pharmacy to a Hawaiian 1031 Exchange buyer for $6.01 million. The store sits on 1.86 acres of land on Highway 20 West in McDonough. Dan Earles, Mark Cooley and Neal Pringle of Atlanta-based The Shopping Center Group represented the seller. The buyer was represented by Paul Hanna and Shan Gastineau of Jones Lang LaSalle.
MORRISVILLE, N.C. — A 103-room Cambria Suites has opened at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Morrisville, marking the 1-year-old brand’s tenth hotel nationwide. The property features 1,800 square feet of banquet and meeting space, MP3 jacks and wireless Internet in each unit and an indoor pool and spa. The building is owned by Carolina Hotels & Resorts, a local developer, and is managed by Alliance Hospitality of Raleigh, N.C.
ORLANDO, FLA. — Roger B. Kennedy Inc. has broken ground on the 32,000-square-foot Lake Nona Village Center, Building 10, located in Orlando. The $2.6 million mixed-use building was designed by Maitland, Fla.-based Charlan Brock & Associates. Delivery is expected next June.
NASHVILLE, TENN. — Nordstrom has delayed opening a 149,000-square-foot store in Davis Street Land Co.’s The Mall at Green Hills until October 2011. The store, which will be Nordstrom’s first in Tennessee, was slated to deliver in October 2010. Located at 2126 Abbott Martin Road in Nashville, the 735,000-square-foot mall is anchored by Macy’s and Dillard’s. The mall also houses Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Lacoste, Cole Haan, kate spade and J. Crew.
