WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. — Construction is nearly complete on Ocala, Fla.-based Edwards Construction Services’ 61,100-square-foot Iron Mountain warehouse. The $3.8 million building, located in West Palm Beach, will house Iron Mountain’s information management, records management and data protection operations. The property features fire sprinklers and a multi-story racking system. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Architectural Alliance designed the building.

MIAMI LAKES, FLA. — Miami-based Courtelis Co. has welcomed four new tenants and will soon bring four more to its Red Palmetto Shoppes, located on N.W. 163rd St. in Miami Lakes. A 21,000-square-foot Office Depot has taken up the center’s anchor position, and Glamour Salon & Day Spa has opened a 2,100-square-foot store. T-Mobile has moved into a 1,053-square-foot space, and Express Employment Professionals will occupy a 1,050-square-foot parcel. A 5,000-square-foot Unlimited Fitness & Wellness Center, a 4,500-square-foot Commerce Bank, a 2,100-square-foot Dickie’s BBQ and a 1,529-square-foot Firehouse Subs will open next year.

STATESBORO, GA. — CBL & Associates Properties and Ewing Southeast Realty have completed the 162,000-square-foot Statesboro Crossing shopping center. The 50-acre property, located at the corner of Brannen Street Extension and Veteran’s Memorial Parkway in Statesboro, is anchored by PETCO, T.J. Maxx, Hobby Lobby and Books-A-Million. The center also includes more than 38,000 square feet of specialty stores, such as Rack Room Shoes, Avon and Hibbett Sports.

ALPHARETTA, GA. — Duke Realty has sold an 80,000-square-foot warehouse to Chicago-based First Industrial, a real estate investment trust, for $4.4 million. Kimberly-Clarke is the major tenant in the building, which is located at 11415 Old Roswell Rd. in Alpharetta. Duke Realty’s Brian Sutton represented the seller, and Bob Burdell of NAI Brannen Goddard represented First Industrial.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — DT Plaza Charlotte has sold the 51,130-square-foot Dollar Tree Plaza to a New York-based private investor for $3.45 million. The 24-year-old center, which is located at 3618 Albemarle Rd. in Charlotte, is anchored by Chuck E. Cheese and Dollar Tree. The center is 90 percent occupied. Sperry Van Ness/Lighthouse Commercial Realty’s Troy A. Legge represented the seller, and the buyer was represented by Atlanta-based Andy Radford Real Estate Investments.

DEBARY, FLA. — Cotter-Ryan Commercial has commenced construction on a 20,000-square-foot office building at SummerHaven Professional Center. Under development by SummerHaven Professional Center LLC, the building is located on Enterprise Road in DeBary. Construction of the three-story building will cost $1.5 million. Delivery is expected next March.

CLEARWATER, FLA. — Perma-Liner Industries has signed a 7-year lease on a 30,000-square-foot warehouse. Further terms of the lease were not disclosed. The company will use the building, located at 13000 Automobile Blvd. in Clearwater, as the headquarters of its underground utility piping and installation operation. Bill Alton and Dave Tower represented Perma-Liner in the transaction.

COVINGTON, LA. — Colonial Properties Trust and Robert B. Aikens & Associates have broken ground on the 1 million-square-foot Colonial Pinnacle Nor du Lac. The $240 million development, located in St. Tammany Parish in Covington, will feature a hotel, 35,000 square feet of office space and 115 retailers and restaurants. Future tenants include Mignon Faget, Dillard’s, Kohl’s, Barnes & Noble and Dick’s Clothing and Sporting Goods. The project is slated for delivery in October 2009.

FORT MYERS, FLA. — Gora/McGahey Associates in Architecture has entered the design phase on a renovation of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida. The 20,000-square-foot building was constructed in 1988 and is located at 3830 Evans Ave. in Fort Myers. The renovation will give the center an aquatic theme, and a mural will cover the walls and concrete floors. Target Builders has been selected as the general contractor.
