POMPANO BEACH, FLA. — Les Byron of Sperry Van Ness Commercial Realty’s Forth Lauderdale, Fla., office brokered two industrial sales in Pompano Beach totaling 26,800 square feet. Byron represented an undisclosed party in the sale of a 10,000-sqaure-foot building, located at 2521 N.E. 4th Ave., to Pierre Brunet for $1.07 million. In Southern Services’ recent purchase of a 16,800-square-foot warehouse, located in McNab Industrial Park at 2171 S.W. 10th St., for $2 million, Byron represented the undisclosed buyer.

FRANKLIN, TENN. — Drury Development Corp. has purchased 13.86 acres, located on McEwen Drive in Franklin, from KMN Partnership and Franklin Realty Investors for $13.5 million. Drury will develop a 340-room Drury Plaza Hotel and 50,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space on the site. The sellers were represented by Tom McArthur, Jr., of Brentwood, Tenn.-based McArthur Sanders Real Estate.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh-based Dominion Realty Partners will break ground September 25 on the six-story, 134,152-square-foot Genworth Building, located on the corner of Monument Lane and Six Forks Road in Raleigh, with an aim for full occupancy by October 2009. The property is being built to Silver LEED standards and will serve as the new headquarters for Genworth Financial’s mortgage insurance business. Raleigh-based DTLB’s Hal Worth secured financing through M&I Bank, and Atlanta-based firms MSTSD Architects and Choate Construction and Raleigh-based Piedmont Land Design constitute the construction team.

MOUNT DORA, FLA. — Morse Properties will break ground next June on its 160,000-square-foot Loch Leven Landing, a retail center located on the corner of U.S. Highway 441 and State Route 44. A 54,340-square-foot Publix will anchor the site, which also features 45,914 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space and nine outparcels. The property will include outside patio seating and a bike path. Orlando-based Cuhaci & Peterson Architects is providing design services for the project.

GASTONIA, N.C. — Mac McCall of Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office has represented CHI Franklin Square in its sale of a 5,069-square-foot Verizon Wireless retail building to GDC Gastonia and JC Gastonia for $3.2 million. Purchase of the property, which is located at 3090 E. Franklin Blvd. in Gastonia, was brokered by Arthur Nachman of Reston, Va.-based Calkain Realty Advisors.

MIAMI — The Sturman Family LP has sold the 7,600-square-foot William’s Plaza, located on South Dixie Highway in Miami, to Shops at Palmetto Bay for $2.3 million. Tenants at the fully-occupied center include Beyond Salon & Spa, Cartonics, Vilar Cigar Shop and Wheel & Tire. Kirk Olson, Drew Kristol and Arnaldo Cantero of Marcus & Millichap’s Miami office represented the seller, and Olson and Kristol represented the buyer.

SUFFOLK, VA. — Tri-City Development Co. recently sold the 123,050-sqaure-foot Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View, located on Harbour View Boulevard in Suffolk, to Montecito Medical Investment Co. for $33 million. The buyer was represented by Scott Henley and Alex Evans of Coldwell Banker Commercial Benchmark’s Jacksonville, Fla., office. Tri-City Development was represented in-house.

KENNESAW, GA. — Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust has leased 182,000 square feet of warehouse space in a 587,00-square-foot facility to Atlanta Bonded Warehouse Corporation. Located at 7060 Battle Dr. in Kennesaw, the property features 62 dock doors with hydraulic levers, 30-foot clear ceilings and full air conditioning. David Nixon and Chad Burd of CB Richard Ellis’s Atlanta office and Jack Haden of Atlanta-based NAI Brannen Goddard assisted with the transaction. Terms of the lease were not announced.

ORLANDO, FLA. — Indianapolis-based HDG Mansur Investment Services has purchased a 106,440-square-foot office building, located at 2290 Premier Row in Orlando, from Symcor for an undisclosed amount. The property will retain its current function as a processing center. The transaction was brokered by CB Richard Ellis employees in the Orlando, New York and Toronto.
