GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Shops of Greenridge is adding three retailers to its lineup. J. Jill will open a 3,399-square-foot store in June, White House | Black Market will relocate from its current location to an expanded 3,501-square-foot store in May and Diamond’s Choice will open a 2,234-square-foot store in September. The Shops of Greenridge is a $64 million retail center developed by Charlotte, N.C.-based Crosland. Anchor tenants include Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, Marshalls, PetSmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

OSCEOLA, FLA. — Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse has opened an $18.5 million, 148,000-square-foot store in The Pointe at Poinciana, one of six retail centers in the Poinciana master-planned community in Osceola. The store is situated on a 19-acre site, located at 4420 Pleasant Hill Rd., and features 117,000 square feet of retail sales space and a 31,000-square-foot outdoor garden center. The project began construction in September 2007 and completed in March. Poinciana is being developed by Avatar Properties.

ORLANDO, FLA. — Vehicle Inspections Systems (VIS) has purchased a 40,362-square-foot building at Lee Vista Business Commons, a 125,000-square-foot, Class A warehouse/office complex in Orlando, from Chicago-based Higgins Development, for an undisclosed amount. VIS will relocate its North American headquarters to the facility. The Orlando office of Colliers Arnold represented the seller in the transaction.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — New York City-based RWO Acquisitions will develop Withers Preserve, which will consist of approximately 2,000 single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums as well as offices, hotels and retail space, in Myrtle Beach. It is being developed in harmony with the master-planned redevelopment program by the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base Redevelopment Authority — a 3,970-acre parcel of land with $30 million of new infrastructure including 29 acres of lakes, new community parks and 4 miles of new roads. Withers Preserve will encompass 560 acres of land on the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.

ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Southeast Capital Partners is developing Six60 @ Old 4th Ward, a $52 million, four-story multifamily project in Atlanta, located along Ralph McGill Boulevard. The project is situated on 5.3 acres and will contain 301 apartment, loft and townhome units. Amenities include a 2,370-square-foot fitness center, swimming pool, cyber cafŽ and a clubroom. Construction began this month and is projected for completion in 2009. Dallas-based Humphreys & Partners Architects are the project architect, and the general contractor is Atlanta-based Fortune-Johnson General Contractors.

DORAL, FLA. — Adrian Development Co. is developing Lakeview Offices at Doral, a 440,000-square-foot office park in Doral, located at 41st Street and the Florida Turnpike. The project will be LEED-certified and is comprised of 300,000 square feet of Class A office space and 140,000 square feet of retail space. Construction is slated to begin in the fall, with initial occupancy in fall 2009. Andrew Trench and Joyce Alarcon of Miami-based Holly Real Estate/TCN Worldwide are marketing the property.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Atlanta-based Pope & Land Enterprises has acquired the Charlotte Coliseum. The transaction was completed 60 days after Pope & Land Enterprises was chosen by the city of Charlotte as the winning bidder in a unique auction process. Initial plans for the redevelopment include significant greenspace and recreational amenities surrounding new residential, office, retail and hotel developments. Plans include the demolition of the coliseum building in early 2007 with initial groundbreaking to commence afterwards.

BROWARD COUNTY, FLA. — Ron Kent of Boca Raton, Fla.-based Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT has sold 28 acres of land in Broward County for approximately $6.45 million to IDI. The site will be developed into industrial leasing space. The property provides turnpike frontage as well as access to the turnpike, Interstate 95 and the Sawgrass Expressway.

JACKSON COUNTY, MISS. — Spartanburg, S.C.-based Tindall Corp. has opened a $26 million, 165,000-square-foot facility in Jackson County, north of Moss Point, Miss. The project was developed under the GO ZONE law, which provides economic incentives for projects built on the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina. The state-of-the-art facility includes 10,000 square feet of office space. Previously, Tindall operated a plant in Biloxi, Miss., which was damaged by the storm.

GAINESVILLE, FLA. — Greenville, S.C.-based Windsor Aughtry Co. is developing the Hampton Inn & Suites Ð Downtown Gainesville, a $14 million, 86,000-square-foot property, located at 101 S.E. 1st Ave. The project includes a 124-room hotel and 8,000 square-feet of street level retail. Memphis, Tenn.-based Renaissance Group is the project architect, and the general contractor is Memphis-based Pride Construction. Construction is scheduled for completion in spring 2009.
