CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Westcore Charlotte, a subsidiary of Westcore Properties, has acquired a 455,750-square-foot manufacturing building in Charlotte, from Flextronics International, for $25 million. The facility is situated on 51 acres at 6800 Solectron Dr. Dan Hollingsworth and Steve Pace of CPS/CORFAC International represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction. Flextronics will continue to occupy the building.

The community is adjacent to the new light rail station, and includes 8,000 square feet of street-level retail. Circle at Crosstown in Tampa and Circle at Bartram Park in Jacksonville broke ground this month. The three-story communities feature one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes, ranging from 780 to 1,300 square feet. A total of 300 residences are planned for Crosstown, and 336 units are planned for Bartram Park. GAINESVILLE, FLA. — The University of Florida is building a $65 million, 160,000-square-foot biomedical sciences building in Gainesville. The six-story facility began construction in October 2006 and topped out in February. The project is slated for completion in early 2009. Orlando, Fla.-based HuntonBrady Architects are the project architect.
