FRISCO, TEXAS — Tex-Mex eatery Tupinamba's will move into a 5,000-square-foot space in The Shops at Starwood in Frisco this summer, opening a restaurant named Tupy's. The property is located at the intersection of Dallas North Tollway and Lebanon Road. Tenants recently added to The Shops at Starwood include Pappagallo's Classique, Pierce Hardware and Ginny's Underworld. Real Street Properties and SRS Real Estate Partners brokered the Tupinamba's lease.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS — Honolulu-based A&B Properties has leased 70,000 square feet of space in its Heritage Business Park II building to Insight Merchandising. The property, which is part of the 1.3-million-square-foot Heritage Business Park, is located at 1000 S. Nolen Drive in Grapevine. Michael Spain and Todd Lambeth of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services represented A&B Properties. Lee & Associates' Ken Wesson and Donnie Rohde represented the tenant.

CARROLLTON, TEXAS — Tenent HealthSystem Medical has renewed its 81,644-square-foot warehouse lease with Acquiport DFWIP in Carrollton. The space is located at 1150 Hayden Drive. Jones Lang LaSalle's Rob Kingsbury and Steve Thelen represented the tenant. Brian Pafford of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services represented the landlord in the 5-year lease renewal.

SAN ANTONIO — Ranch Hand Truck Accessories/Croft Truck Equipment has signed a 28,242-square-foot lease with an undisclosed landlord in San Antonio. The company will move into the property, which is located at 2625 Broadway, this April. Stream Realty Partners' Jason Schnittger represented Ranch Hand in the lease. Michael McMahon of McMahon Properties represented the landlord.

PLANO, TEXAS — KBS REIT II has purchased a three-building industrial portfolio totaling 283,559 square feet from a private seller for an undisclosed amount. The space is located in the E, F and G buildings of the Plano Business Park in Plano. IDI developed the properties, which are 94 percent leased to seven tenants, in 2001. KBS Realty Advisors represented the buyer. CB Richard Ellis' Jack Fraker and Josh McArtor represented the seller.

HOUSTON — Henry S. Miller Brokerage will launch its Northwest Houston Brokerage Division April 1. Retail brokerage will be combined with the property management division, which currently oversees 2 million square feet of projects, in the same office. Executive Vice President Shawn Ackerman, who has worked with Henry S. Miller for 8 years, will serve as head of the retail brokerage entity.

DALLAS — Dallas-based The Apartment Group has teamed up with NorthMarq Capital to create a better presence in the multifamily finance market. The addition of NorthMarq, which is a Freddie Mac servicer and works with Fannie Mae and AmeriSphere Multifamily Finance, means The Apartment Group will be able to better serve customers. NorthMarq's Texas offices are located in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio; The Apartment Group is based in Austin, Texas, and Dallas. The Apartment Group has closed more than $3 billion in multifamily transactions since it was founded in 1991.
