CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Senior Quality Lifestyles Corp. and Greystone Communities have gathered $79.04 million in financing for the 17-acre Mirador senior housing community. The money was obtained through a bond sale. The property, which will open in 2011, is located in Corpus Christi. Mirador will feature 125 apartment homes, 44 assisted-living suites, 41 private nursing care rooms and 18 private memory-support residences. Andres Construction will employ more than 300 workers to build the property.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the 340-room The Westin Austin at The Domain. The property, the city's first Westin hotel, is located 15 minutes from downtown Austin. Hotel features include 17,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, a restaurant, a business center, a heated pool and a gym.
HOUSTON — Houston-based Means Knaus Partners and New York-based Lexington Realty Trust have teamed up to form Lexington MKP Management, a firm that will oversee leasing and development for Lexington's properties. The new joint venture will also focus on property management and construction management services. Means Knaus will add 70 employees, including 15 workers in its Houston office, to accommodate its management portfolio, which has grown from 6 million to 20 million square feet.
DALLAS — GT Dallas Properties has leased 22,180 square feet of office space to HQ Global Workplaces in Dallas. The property is located at 13455 Noel Road. Steve Rigby, Peter Danna, Baron Aldrine and Mike Kay of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant in the lease.
HOUSTON — WEUS Holdings has signed a 26,407-square-foot lease renewal with Tower Associates for space in Marathon Oil Tower. The 41-story, 1.07 million-square-foot property is located at 5555 San Felipe in Houston. CB Richard Ellis' Craig Beyer, Mary Barnwell and Brandon Clarke represented the tenant. The firm's John Pruitt and Jessica Ochoa represented the landlord.
SAN ANTONIO — Trammell Crow Co. has broken ground on the 72,000-square-foot Westover Hills Medical Plaza II on the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-Westover Hills campus in San Antonio. The building, owned by Partners Health Trust, will join a 60,465-square-foot medical office property, which was built in 2007 and is fully leased. Delivery of the new building is slated for December.
DALLAS — Centro Properties Group has opened a 21,667-square-foot Save-A-Lot grocery store in its Jeff Davis Shopping Center in Dallas. The property is located at the intersection of West Jefferson Boulevard and North Plymouth Road. Venture Commercial Real Estate's Bryan Cornelius represented Save-A-Lot in the transaction. Centro Properties Group represented itself.
HEATH, TEXAS — David Mott of NorthMarq Capital's Dallas office has secured a $4 million loan for Baylor Medical Plaza. The 35,485-square-foot medical office building is located in Heath. A community bank financed the 5-year loan, which carries a 25-year amortization schedule.
GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS — Lexington Realty Trust has sold a 49,340-square-foot retail building to Dallas-based Component Capital Group for an undisclosed amount. The property, a former Carnival grocery store, sits on 3.79 acres of land at Carrier Crossing in Grand Prairie. The Weitzman Group's Greg McDonald brokered the sale.
DENTON, TEXAS — Technology Resource Center of America has purchased an 88,000-square-foot warehouse from Baker Distributing dba Weatherol Supply Co. The sales price was not disclosed. Located at 2600 E. University Drive in Denton, the property will become TRCA's new corporate headquarters. Dan Spika of Henry S. Miller Brokerage arranged the transaction.
