POMONA, CALIF. — Foremost Cos. has purchased a 100,000-square-foot office building in Pomona for an undisclosed sum. The building is located at 901 Corporate Center Drive. The building’s interior is currently improved with classrooms and administrative offices. The asset is situated within the 50-acre University Corporate Center business park. Current owners and tenants at the business park include pharmaceutical, professional offices and businesses, educational, and state and county offices. Stonewood Properties was hired as property manager to undertake deferred maintenance and service current tenant needs. NKF’s John Ewart and John Daciolas have been hired as leasing agents.

RENO, NEV. — An affiliate of Sandpiper LLC has acquired the 117-room Courtyard by Marriott in Reno for an undisclosed sum. The hotel is located at 6855 S. Virginia St. The LLC plans an extensive renovation, which will start this fall. It will include upgrades to the exterior façade, guestrooms, lobby and bistro. Sandpiper was attracted to the hotel’s in-place cash flow and location. Teague Hunter, Danny Givertz and Trey Scott of Hunter Hotel Advisors executed the transaction.

WILSONVILLE, ORE. — The Avamere Family of Companies, a Wilsonville-based operator, has taken over management of five Colony NorthStar Healthcare Income-owned assisted living communities in Oregon and Washington. The management partnership includes: Avamere at Albany, Albany, Ore. Avamere at Oak Park, Roseburg, Ore. Avamere at Cascadia Village, Bremerton, Wash. Avamere at Wenatchee, Wenatchee, Wash. Avamere at Port Townsend, Port Townsend, Wash. The Avamere Family operates nearly 50 independent living, assisted living, transitional care and skilled nursing facilities. Colony NorthStar Healthcare Income is a division of Colony NorthStar, a global real estate and investment management firm.

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. — Dick’s Sporting Goods, the largest U.S.-based, omni-channel sporting goods retailer, will open four new Dick’s Sporting Goods stores in February. The new stores are opening this month in Santa Maria, Calif.; Evansville, Ind.; Baxter, Minn.; and Warwick, R.I. The company will now have 721 Dick’s Sporting Goods stores nationwide in 47 states. Founded in 1948, Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. operates more than 715 Dick’s Sporting Goods locations across the United States. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, the company also owns and operates Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream specialty stores.

MERIDIAN, IDAHO — Pine Tree LLC, in partnership with a U.S. state pension fund, has acquired Meridian Crossroads, a 527,000-square-foot shopping center in Meridian, for $78.7 million. DDR Corp. sold the asset, located 11 miles west of Boise. The center is home to tenants such as PetSmart, Pier 1 Imports, Bed Bath & Beyond and Ross Dress for Less. Pine Tree is also working with Albertsons Cos. as they open Market Street Idaho, a 109,000-square-foot experiential grocery store. The new store is expected to open at Meridian Crossroads later this year.

HENDERSON, NEV. — NKF Capital Markets has arranged the sale of Galleria Commons, a 278,411-square-foot shopping center in Henderson. Rob Ippolito of NKF Capital Markets arranged the transaction on behalf of the seller, Brixmor Property Group. 3D Investments acquired the property for an undisclosed price. At the time of sale, Galleria Commons was fully leased to tenants such as T.J. Maxx, Stein Mart, Babies ‘R’ Us, Burlington, Dollar Tree, Tuesday Morning and Kirkland’s.

ISSAQUAH, WASH. — The Wolff Company, an Arizona-based private equity firm and senior living developer, has broken ground on a 146-unit independent living community in the Seattle suburb of Issaquah. The three-story Revel Issaquah is scheduled to open in late 2018. Wolff cited the fast growth of the 75-and-older population in Kings County for its selection of the area. Revel Issaquah is the ninth senior living community that The Wolff Company has developed since 2016. The company plans to invest $300 million to $400 million annually in the development of new independent and assisted living communities, in addition to the purchase and renovation of existing communities.

PUYALLUP, WASH. — An investor in a 1031 exchange has acquired the 154-unit Willow Springs Apartments in Puyallup for $33.8 million. The community is located at 608 39th Ave. SW. Willow Springs is situated across the street from a Pierce County Transit terminal and South Hill Mall. The gated complex was built in 1996. It contains a mix of one- to three-bedroom apartments. Amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, playground and car wash stations. Timothy Ufkes, Evan McLeod and Jordan Smith of Marcus & Millichap represented both the buyer and seller, a private partnership, in this transaction.

LAKE HAVASU, ARIZ. — Civitas Senior Living, Summerlin Asset Management LLC and Desert Land Group have broken ground on The Views at Lake Havasu, a 92-unit active adult community in Arizona. The four-story community will be restricted to residents age 55 and older. The property is located in the popular retirement community of Lake Havasu, which is located approximately equidistant from Phoenix, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Civitas will operate the community once it is open. REES Architecture provided design and engineering services. Consolidated Construction will build the property. A delivery timeline was not disclosed.

LAS VEGAS — BKM Capital Partners has purchased Hughes Airport Center, a 13-building, multi-tenant industrial complex in Las Vegas, for $92 million. The properties are situated in the industrial pocket between McCarran International Airport and interstates 15 and 215. Hughes Airport Center contains 3.3 million square feet of Class A industrial space and Class B office space. The 420-acre, master-planned business park has access to nearby retail and entertainment amenities like Town Square shopping center, Las Vegas Premium Outlets South, Tahiti Village, Callaway Golf Center, Bali Hai Golf Club and Sunset Park. The business park has recently undergone a slew of improvements, including new paint to building exteriors, asphalt and parking lot repairs, roof repair, and upgraded landscaping, monument signage and tenant signage. Rents at Hughes Airport Center typically range between $0.90 per square foot and $1.30 per square foot. Notable tenants at the center include Geotab, CanvasPop, Medical Transportation Management, Climatec, Credit One Bank, North American Video, LabCorp of America and Harman International.
