WEST SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of an eight-unit apartment building in West Sacramento for $350,000. The 6,800-square-foot building is located at 561 Pecan St. It consists of all two-bedroom units, and includes on-site laundry facilities and a security gate. Marc Guillon of Marcus & Millichap’s Oakland, Calif., office and Jesse Nickerman of the firm’s Sacramento office represented the undisclosed buyer. The seller was also disclosed.

SPARKS, NEV. — Coral Gables, Fla.-based Thomas D. Wood & Co. has secured a total of $3.96 million in financing for the Cal Linda Freeport flex buildings, located in Sparks. A $3 million loan was secured for 50-360 Freeport Blvd. and a $965,000 loan was secured for 1080 Linda Way and 250 Cal Lane. Both loans carry a 6.5 percent fixed interest rate and a 25-year amortization schedule. Steve Wood of Thomas D. Wood & Co. secured the financing, along with Tony Castrignano of Sky-Mesa Capital. The lender was StanCorp Mortgage Investors.

FONTANA, CALIF. — Kaiser Permanente is developing a new 341-bed hospital in Fonanta. Located at the southern end of the existing Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center, the new hospital will replace the existing facility. The project includes a 481,000-square-foot hospital, a 50,000-square-foot hospital support building and a 23,000-square-foot central utility plant. The hospital will feature a cardiac surgery department, a 51-bed emergency department, pediatric and neonatal ICU, inpatient dialysis unit, pediatrics, ICU, labor and delivery, cardiac cath lab and surgery. The hospital support facility will feature medical offices, radiology, a pharmacy and a specialty clinic. HMC Architects is providing architectural services for the project, which is slated for completion in 2012.

PITTSBURG, CALIF. — David Silver, Nathan Blair and Casey Davis of Arroyo & Coates represented both undisclosed parties in the disposition and acquisition of Creekside Village Senior Apartments, an 88-unit senior-living apartment complex located near the intersection of Buchanan Road and Kirker Pass Road in Pittsburg. Built in 2004, the property features one- and two-bedroom units offering gas fireplaces, washer/dryers and walk-in closets. Additionally, the age-restricted community features a community center, a heated swimming pool and a spa.

BROOMFIELD, COLO. — Aimbridge Hospitality and Broomfield Lodging LLC, a wholly owned entity of Wiens Enterprises LLLP, has opened aloft Broomfield Denver. Located at 8300 Arista Pl. in Broomfield, the 139-room hotel is the first aloft Hotel in Colorado. The 92,387-square-foot hotel features 7,555 square feet of meeting space and is situated over 11,000 square feet of main street retail space, which features a 5,300-square-foot Kevin Taylor Group restaurant. The property is owned by Broomfield Lodging LLC. Aloft Hotel is the urban lifestyle brand of Starwood Hotels & Resort Inc.

POWAY, CALIF. — The Poway Unified School District and Barnhart Inc. have completed the $9.2 million renovation of Rolling Hills Elementary School in Poway. The renovation included the administration building, four classroom buildings, the library, a multi-purpose building, six permanent portable buildings, construction of a new kitchen building and installation of new electrical services. Located at 15255 Penasquitos Dr., the school was built in 1978. Funding for the project was provided by Bond Measure C, which was passed in February 2008. NTD Architecture provided architectural and design services for the project.

CARLSBAD, CALIF. — Locally owned Barker Family Trust has completed the disposition of two multifamily properties in Carlsbad. Glenn L. Goldman Family Trust, also of Carlsbad, purchased the properties for a combined total of approximately $3.16 million. The nine-unit Oak Villa Apartments, which is located at 3095 Harding St., sold for $1.34 million; and the 13-unit Jefferson Apartments, which is located at 3110-3132 Jefferson St., sold for $1.82 million. David Andrews of Hendricks & Partners’ San Diego office represented both parties in the transaction.

VICTORVILLE, CALIF. — Stirling Capital Investments has finished construction on the 1 million-square-foot Distribution Centre 1 at the Southern California Logistics Centre, a LEED-certified building that is part of the center’s initial phase. Spread across 300 acres in Victorville, phase one of the center calls for 6.5 million square feet of industrial space. Two million square feet of space has been built. The newly completed warehouse boasts 32-foot clear height, 179 dock doors and ESFR sprinklers. Green features include reduced-flow fixtures and energy-efficient HVAC and lighting systems.

CHEYENNE, WYO. — The Australian REIT Centro Properties has sold the 155,022-square-foot Cheyenne Plaza shopping center to Denver-based Perry & Associates for $6.75 million. Located at 3501-3773 E. Lincoln Way in Cheyenne, the property is 81 percent leased. Tenants include Dollar Tree, Big Lots and Rent-A-Center. Cushman & Wakefield of Colorado represented the seller.

DENVER — 6143 South Willow LLC has purchased the 46,368-square-foot Orchard One office building from Orchard One LLC for $4.37 million. Orchard One is located in the Denver Technological Center at 6143 S. Willow Dr. in Denver. Current tenants in the office building, which is 96 percent occupied, include CIS Insurance Group, Lang & Co., M&T Bank and Charter Financial Resources. David Shapiro of Transwestern represented the buyer.
