DEPAUL HEALTH CENTER COMPLETES RENOVATION/EXPANSION

ST. LOUIS — The final phase of DePaul Health Center’s Emergency Department renovation and expansion has been completed. The 11,750-square-foot facility, which is located at 12303 DePaul Dr. in St. Louis, was expanded by 5,500 square feet. Fenton, Mo.-based Kaiser Electric has completed electrical design and installation for the $7.2 million project. The project included new ambulance and entrance canopies, four new trauma rooms, 12 new treatment rooms, the remodeling of 15 existing treatment rooms, four new triage rooms, three new nursing stations, a new waiting and reception/check-in area, expanded quiet rooms for families, and a new security office. Additionally, a Chest Pain Center and a walkway from the Emergency Department to the parking garage were completed. The renovations/additions allow DePaul’s Emergency Department to handle 70,000 patients per year, which is twice its original capacity. St. Louis-based Alberici Constructors acted as general contractor for the project.
