POMPANO BEACH, FLA. — Chicago-based RMS Properties has purchased the 3.6 acre, 57,000-square-foot Beachway Shopping Center, located at 800 N. Federal Hwy. in Pompano Beach, from Beachway Shopping Center 613 for $6.3 million. The property is 74 percent occupied with tenants including Abbott Appliances and Turtle Point Trading Co. Keith Kidwell and R. Lee Brushingham, both of Sperry Van Ness’ Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office, represented the buyer and the seller, respectively.

ORLANDO, FLA. — RobinsonBush recently acquired suite 102, 4,996 square feet of office/retail space, in the 801 North Orange building, located in downtown Orlando, from Carmen Dominguez, LLC, for $1.2 million. RobinsonBush will lease 1,996 square feet to Dolce Vita Salon and occupy 3,000 square feet of the 96,000-square-foot building, which houses tenants including Daily Grind Coffee and Citrus Restaurant on the ground floor. CitiSpace Orlando’s Patricia Sullivan represented the buyer, and Vince Arch and Laurie Hamilton, also with CitiSpace Orlando, represented the seller.
RICHMOND, VA. — Thompson Davis Asset Management has purchased the 8,000-square-foot Barrett House, an office building located at 15 S. 5th St. and 508 E. Cary St. in Richmond, from Ashvin, LLC, for $1.1 million. I. Rowland Williams, III, and Millard Jones, II, of Thalhimer’s Richmond office brokered the sale.
WELLINGTON, FLA. — Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based Rendina Companies’ development of a four-story, 50,000-square-foot medical office building on the campus of Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington will begin in September. The building is currently more than 50 percent committed and is expected to deliver in the third quarter of 2009.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA. — Thalhimer brokered the sale of four industrial properties totaling 8,000 square feet from Aquia Partnership to English Family Trust for $860,000. Virgil Nelson, Mary Katherine Greenlaw and Wilson Greenlaw of Thalhimer’s Fredericksburg office handled sale of the property, located in Airport Center at 3509 Shannon Park Dr. in Fredericksburg.
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Denver-based Simpson Housing has sold the 662,000-square-foot Plantations at Haywood, located 2 miles east of Greenville’s business district, to tenant-in-common investors for an undisclosed amount. The 38-acre, 40-building complex is 96 percent occupied and features multiple tennis courts and pools. Dean Smith of Apartment Realty Advisors’ Charlotte, N.C., office represented the sellers, and the buyers were represented by Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors.
MANGONIA PARK, FLA. — West Palm Beach, Fla.-based boat manufacturer Jeffrey Lichterman recently purchased more than 50,960 square feet of industrial space from Boca Raton, Fla.-based AR&M Management for $2.8 million. The property, located at 5455 Dexter Rd. in Mangonia Park, comprises a 20,000-square-foot metal warehouse and a 30,000-square-foot covered shed. Jeff Kelly and Robert Smith of CB Richard Ellis’s Boca Raton office were the transaction’s sole brokers.
ATLANTA — Chicago-based Redwood Capital Partners has purchased the 38.75-acre, 426,012-square-foot Collier Ridge Apartments, located at 100 Noble Creek Dr. in Atlanta, from Chicago-based Equity Residential for an undisclosed price. The purchase was made in partnership with MetLife, and Redwood plans to spend $3.6 million on renovations for the 300-unit complex. Apartment amenities include tennis courts, a fitness center and a pool.
TAMPA BAY, FLA. — New Jersey-based Lightstone Group recently sold the 104-unit senior housing complex Oceanside Apartments to a local real estate investor for $4.5 million. NAI Tampa Bay’s John Burpee represented both parties in the transaction for the complex, which was100 percent occupied at closing.
FORT MYERS, FLA. — Construction has commenced on a 30,000-square-foot office building, the second of four in Fort Myers-based McGarvey Development’s Eastlinks Business Park, located at 12600 Corporate Lakes Dr. in Fort Myers. The first property was completed in January, and the second is slated to deliver in October.
