WHEATON, ILL. — Quantum Real Estate Advisors Inc. has brokered the sale of a 14,409-square-foot retail property occupied by Walgreens in Wheaton for $11.6 million. The building was constructed in 2010. Walgreens has roughly 13 years remaining on its lease. Daniel Waszak of Quantum represented the buyer, a private 1031 exchange investor based in New York. A Midwest-based REIT was the seller.

Schnitzer Properties Buys 95,213 SF Westland Center Industrial/Retail Asset in North Las Vegas

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEV. — Portland, Ore.-based Schnitzer Properties has acquired Westland Center, an industrial and retail property located at the intersection of East Craig and North Pecos roads in North Las Vegas. Terms of the transaction were not released. Totaling 95,213 square feet, Westland Center features six buildings with 43 light industrial and retail units spread across 9.7 acres. Schnitzer Properties has owned and operated property in the greater Las Vegas area since 1994.
Drapac Capital Sells 23,362 SF Retail Property in Downtown Memphis Leased to Walgreens

MEMPHIS, TENN. — Drapac Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm based in Australia, has sold a 23,362-square-foot retail property located at 2 N. Main St. in downtown Memphis. A flagship Walgreens occupies the bottom two levels of the property, and the top level is vacant space. Studio Capital, an investor and developer based in California, purchased the multi-story property for $2.7 million. Drapac Capital purchased the property in 2015 for $715,000. St. Bourke, a community placemaking and development firm, refurbished the property last year that included new windows, facades, finishes, paint, signage and entryways.
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — CBRE has arranged the sale of Centerpointe Plaza, a neighborhood shopping center located at 5605-5785 North Academy Blvd. in Colorado Springs. A Denver-based private fund acquired the property from Phoenix-based Kinetic Development for $21.4 million. Built in 1983, Centerpointe Plaza features 154,988 square feet of retail space. At the time of sale, Centerpointe Plaza was 85 percent occupied. Current tenants include Dollar Tree, Tuesday Morning, Key Bank, Boot Barn, Whiskey Baron, Winnelson Bath & Kitchen Idea Center and Guiry’s Color Source. Parker Brown, Matthew Henrichs and Brad Lyons of CBRE’s National Retail Partners represented the seller in the deal.
COLUMBUS, OHIO — Amazon is opening an Amazon Style store at Easton Town Center in Columbus. The store will be the first Amazon Style location in the state of Ohio and the second nationwide for the e-commerce giant. The first Amazon Style store opened in the Los Angeles area May 25. As Amazon’s first-ever physical clothing store, Amazon Style is designed to help customers discover fashion looks through a personalized and convenient shopping experience using advanced technology. Customers can scan items on the Amazon Shopping app to send them to fitting rooms or directly to the pickup counter to purchase. In the fitting rooms, customers can use an in-room touchscreen to request additional sizes, colors and styles.
PEORIA, ILL. — Quantum Real Estate Advisors Inc. has brokered the sale of a retail strip center in Peoria for $4.4 million. Aspen Dental and Vitamin Shoppe anchor the property, which is located at 5116 N. Big Hollow Road. Zack Hilgendorf of Quantum represented the seller, a Miami-based developer that originally built the center in 2010. The property sold to a Chicago-based buyer.
SNELLVILLE, GA. — Stan Johnson Co. has brokered the $97 million sale of The Shoppes at Webb Gin, an open-air shopping center in the Atlanta suburb of Snellville. Baltimore-based Continental Realty Corp. (CRC) purchased the 330,000-square-foot center, which was originally branded The Avenue Webb Gin when it was delivered in 2006 by Atlanta-based Cousins Properties. Margaret Caldwell and Patrick Kelley of Stan Johnson Co. represented the seller, New York City-based Olshan Properties, in the transaction. Sprouts Farmers Market, Barnes & Noble and DSW anchor the center, which offers 70 units across eight buildings. The property was 89 percent leased at the time of sale to tenants including H&M, LensCrafters, Kirkland’s, Victoria’s Secret, American Eagle, LOFT, Chili’s Grill & Bar and Sephora. The center is situated on 48 acres, which includes available land for additional development along with a build-to-suit outparcel.
SRS Negotiates Sale of 114,638 SF Village at Northshore Shopping Center in Metro New Orleans

SLIDELL, LA. — SRS Real Estate Partners’ Investment Properties Group has arranged the sale of Village at Northshore, a 114,638-square-foot shopping center in Slidell, about 40 miles north of downtown New Orleans. Woodmont Acquisitions LLC purchased the asset from an affiliate of Atlanta-based RCG Ventures for $12.4 million. Kyle Stonis and Pierce Mayson of SRS represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer was self-represented. Spanning nearly 13 acres, Village at Northshore was built in 1988 and renovated in 2020. The majority of the property’s tenants are national retailers, including Marshalls, JoAnn, Dollar Tree, Boot Barn and Ollie’s Bargain Outlet.
SAN ANTONIO — NAI Partners has arranged the sale of a 38,283-square-foot bowling alley located at 3239 Harry Wurzbach Road in San Antonio. Astro SuperBowl operates the facility. Joshua Murphy and Ross Anderson of NAI Partners represented the seller, an entity doing business as A & E Sports LLC, in the transaction. Jorstep Inc. represented the undisclosed buyer.
BROOKFIELD, WIS. — Mid-America Real Estate Corp. has brokered the sale of Brookfield Marketplace in suburban Milwaukee for an undisclosed price. The 90,374-square-foot shopping center is home to Pick ’n Save, Panera Bread, First Midwest Bank, U.S. Cellular, Allstate and Sylvan Learning. Rick Drogosz and Dan Rosenfeld of Mid-America represented the sellers, General Capital Group and Thompson Cos. Jack Stead of Northstar REIS represented the buyer, Grocery Management Partners LLC.
