SIERRA VISTA, CALIF. — SVN Desert Commercial Advisors has brokered the sale of Shoppes at Sierra Vista, a shopping center located at 439/465 N. Highway 90 in Sierra Vista. Pennsylvania-based Kwang Lee of INU Real Estate Management acquired the property for $2.4 million. The seller was Barry Roth with Roth Partnership. At the time of sale, the property was 100 percent leased. Rommie Mojahed and Beau Flahart of SVN Desert Commercial represented the seller in the deal.

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. — Revere Capital has provided a $25 million refinancing loan for Brookwood Village, a 411,441-square-foot shopping center in Birmingham. The asset sits on 22 acres, about six miles south of downtown Birmingham. Tenants include Target, Verizon Wireless, DSW, Macy’s and The Fresh Market. The borrower was not disclosed, but the property is listed under management by CAPREF Manager, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Cypress Equities.

MIAMI — Ready Capital has provided an $8 million acquisition, renovation and lease-up loan for an 8,000-square-foot, vacant building in the Miami neighborhood of Wynwood. Ready Capital provided the nonrecourse, interest-only, floating-rate loan that features a 36-month term with two extension options, flexible prepayment and is inclusive of a facility to provide future funding for capital expenditures and tenant leasing costs. The undisclosed borrower will use the funds to redevelop the property into high-street storefronts with a food and beverage concept in the back.

MESQUITE, TEXAS — Urban Air Adventure Park, an entertainment concept that centers on trampolines, will open a 30,706-square-foot venue in Mesquite, an eastern suburb of Dallas. The venue will be located within a freestanding building at 3777 Childress Ave. that was previously occupied by sporting goods retailer Gander Mountain, which filed for bankruptcy in 2017. David Zoller and Derek Schuster of Weitzman represented the landlord in the lease negotiations. Mike Stern and Josh Flores of EDGE Realty Partners represented Urban Air, which plans to open the venue late this summer.

PHILADELPHIA — Comcast Spectator and partner The Cordish Cos. have unveiled plans to build a $50 million Esports Arena in South Philadelphia. The sports facility will serve as the home arena for the Philadelphia Fusion of the international Overwatch League. The arena will be constructed near the city’s other major sports stadiums. The 60,000-square-foot building will include seating for 3,500 and will contain 10,000 square feet set aside for training facilities and team offices. Construction is expected to begin this summer and be completed in 2021. Kansas City-based firm Populous will serve as lead architect.

PULLMAN, WASH. — PSRS has secured $1.4 million in financing for the acquisition of Edison Center, a two-building retail property located at 588 and 594 S.E. Bishop Blvd. in Pullman. Nine tenants occupy the 13,000-square-foot strip retail center. Kostas Kavayiotidis and Grady Seldin of PSRS arranged the recourse, full-leverage, 10-year loan with a 25-year amortization schedule. Standard Insurance provided the capital.

STRONGSVILLE, OHIO — Berkadia has arranged a $19 million loan for Royalton Collection, a 74,000-square-foot retail development in Strongsville. HomeGoods will anchor the property, along with Panera Bread and Outback Steakhouse outparcels. Dan Geuther of Berkadia arranged the loan with CIBC Bank on behalf of the borrower, New York-based Somera Road Inc. The three-year loan represents a 73 percent loan-to-cost ratio.

NORTH KANSAS CITY, MO. — QuikTrip Corp. has purchased 2.9 acres at the southwest corner of I-35 and Amour Road in North Kansas City. QuikTrip plans to build a new facility at 1401 Armour Road to replace its existing store at 1010 Armour Road. Construction on the new store will begin soon and is a redevelopment of an old office building. David Block and Jody Minder of Block & Co. Inc. Realtors brokered the transaction.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS — Dallas-based Main Event will open a 48,000-square-foot entertainment venue at 3102 S. Highway 161 in Grand Prairie, located roughly midway between Dallas and Fort Worth. The venue, which will be the company’s seventh in the metroplex, will feature 22 bowling lanes, laser tag, a ropes course and zip line and more than 130 interactive and virtual video games. The opening is slated for this winter.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. — The Cheesecake Factory is coming to Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids as part of the repositioning of the shopping center, according to PREIT, the mall’s owner. This is the second location in the state of Michigan for The Cheesecake Factory. The first location in the state was in Novi. The restaurant will occupy 8,500 square feet at Woodland Mall and is expected to open in late October. Other new tenants include Black Rock Bar & Grill, Von Maur, Urban Outfitters, REI and Tricho Salon. Von Maur is set to open this fall in the former Sears space. As the second largest redevelopment underway in PREIT’s portfolio, Woodland Mall is expected to generate nearly 20 percent growth in net operating income (NOI) in 2020, according to the company.
