AURORA, COLO., AND FREDERICKSON, WASH. — Panattoni Construction has been selected by Whirlpool Corp. to construct two regional distribution centers for the company in Aurora and Frederickson. Panattoni will construct a $24 million, 410,000-square-foot center, which is located at East 36th Avenue and Odessa Way in Aurora. The facility will feature 32-foot clear heights, 80-foot staging bays, 40-foot by 50-foot typical bays, 56 dock doors with two drive-in doors, a power capacity of 3,000 amps and an ESFR fire protection system.
Additionally, the company will build a $50 million, 891,000-square-foot center located on a 49-acre site along East 38th Avenue in Frederickson. The facility will feature 32-foot clear heights, 60-foot staging bays, 54-foot by 50-foot typical bays, 100 dock doors with two drive-in doors, a power capacity of 4,000 amps and an ESFR fire protection system. Groundbreaking of the Aurora property is slated for fourth quarter 2008, with construction beginning on the Frederickson property in spring 2008. Ware Malcomb is providing architectural services for both projects.
