CHICAGO — J.C. Anderson has been selected to complete a 150,000-square-foot office buildout for West Monroe Partners at 311 W. Monroe St. in Chicago. Founded in 2002, West Monroe Partners is a national consulting firm with seven offices throughout the country. The firm is relocating from 222 W. Adams St. J.C. Anderson will build out additional offices, open areas, phone rooms, conference rooms and collaborative work areas. The multi-floor project will include a break room on each floor as well as a reception area on the 14th floor and a new staircase leading up to the 15th floor. Completion is slated for October. The 15-story office building spans 382,490 square feet in Chicago’s Loop.

TEMPLE CITY, CALIF. — Coldwell Banker Commercial has arranged the sale of a development site located at 5570 Rosemead Blvd. in Temple City. An undisclosed buyer acquired the site for $14.4 million. The buyer plans to redevelop the 1.4-acre land parcel into a mixed-use community with 73 residential units and 15,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The four-story building will offer units ranging from 732 square feet to 1,251 square feet, with three live-work units and lofts on the top floors. A 12,000-square-foot building, which was formerly used as the Learning Center, currently occupies the site. Steve Hayashi of Coldwell Banker Commercial George Realty represented the undisclosed seller in the deal.

PORT ST. LUCIE, FLA. — Sansone Group plans to develop Tradition Commerce Park, a 3.2 million-square-foot light industrial and distribution center in Port St. Lucie. The St. Louis-based developer entered into an agreement with the Port St. Lucie City Council to acquire 300 acres for the property, which is situated at the northwest corner of Southwest Becker Street and Interstate 95. Sansone expects to break ground by the end of 2020 and deliver Phase I by the third quarter of 2021. Development of Phases II and III will depend on market conditions, according to Peter Crane, regional director of Sansone Florida. Sansone paid the City of Port St. Lucie $5 million for the 63 acres needed for Phase I and will pay $82,764 and $87,120 per acre for the land needed for Phases II and III, respectively. Crane and Alex Pappas of Sansone, along with Lee & Associates, represented the developer in the land transaction.

LOS ANGELES — Hankey Investment Co. and Jamison Properties have completed vertical construction of Kurve on Wilshire, a 23-story residential tower located at 2900 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles’ Koreatown neighborhood. Scheduled to open in spring 2021, Kurve on Wilshire will feature 644 apartments atop a six-story podium housing the building’s 1,100-vehicle parking garage, as well as a one-acre park and amenity deck. Apartments will range from studios to two-story, three-bedroom penthouses with a private sky yard and spa. Rents are expected to start around $2,200 per month. Common-area amenities will include a fitness center, clubhouse, pool, spa, business center, private open-air dining areas, barbecues, fire pits, dog park, Zen garden and viewing deck of the downtown Los Angeles skyline. The $300 million development will also feature 15,000 square feet of street-level retail space catering to residents, locals and Koreatown visitors. The project team includes Large Architecture, Dianna Wong Architecture + Interior Design, and AECOM and Wilshire Construction as a joint venture construction team.

EL PASO, TEXAS — Amazon will open a 625,000-square-foot fulfillment center in El Paso, a move that marks the e-commerce giant’s entrance to that market and that is expected to create about 700 new full-time jobs. Local news station and ABC affiliate KVIA reports that the site will be located along Rojas Drive and Interstate 10 on the city’s east side. Construction is underway, and the facility is expected to open some time in 2021. KVIA also reports that Amazon did not seek any tax breaks or other economic incentives from the City of El Paso.

LINCOLN, NEB. — McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. has broken ground on a six-story boutique hotel at Lincoln’s Nebraska Innovation Campus, an expansive research community designed to facilitate partnerships between the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and private-sector businesses. Developed by Goldenrod Cos., the $23 million project will be a Marriott Tribute hotel with 154 rooms. Marriott Tribute hotels are independent, boutique properties that embrace the character and personality of their surroundings. In this case, the design aesthetic will celebrate the state of Nebraska, the university and its fans. A 10,000-square-foot portion of the hotel’s first level will be designated as educational and amenity spaces for the University of Nebraska’s hospitality, tourism and restaurant management students. Other amenities will include a full-service restaurant, rooftop bar, coffee shop, fitness center and a private dining area on the top floor known as the Founders Room. DLR Group designed the hotel. Completion is slated for fall 2021.

MCKINNEY, TEXAS — Developer VanTrust Real Estate has broken ground on McKinney Corporate Center II, a 115,000-square-foot speculative office project located north of Dallas. The building will be located within the 2,200-acre Craig Ranch master-planned development, across the street from the campus of Collin College Tech. Amenities will include a tenant lounge, conference center and a tenant patio, as well as grab-and-go food service. Holt Lunsford Commercial is handling leasing of the project, a firm completion date for which has not yet been established. VanTrust completed McKinney Corporate Center I, which is now fully leased, in 2015.

MOUNT SINAI, N.Y. — Seniors housing developer and operator Engel Burman has opened The Bristal at Mount Sinai, a 120-unit assisted living community in the Long Island hamlet of Mount Sinai. The Bristal at Mount Sinai has 76 assisted living apartments and 44 additional apartments for memory care. Monthly rents begin at $5,200 for assisted living and $8,400 for memory care. This is the 20th Bristal-branded community, with 15 of those located on Long Island.

CHICAGO — Mosaic Construction LLC has completed a renovation of the Novel Coworking space on the top floor of the four-story 420 West Huron Street in downtown Chicago. The 4,500-square-foot project includes a large open area with dedicated space for two private offices, a huddle room and a phone booth for private calls. It also features a full-size private kitchenette. Mosaic worked with Novel’s team of architects and mechanical engineers to install the latest electric and data features.
