EVANSTON, ILL. — High Street Residential, a subsidiary of Trammell Crow Co., has completed Avidor Evanston, a 169-unit active adult community in Evanston. The community, reserved for residents 55 years of age or older, offers a mix of one- and two-bedroom units. Amenities include a bistro bar, business center, activity center, pet spa, dog run, fitness center, theater room and chef’s kitchen. On the 18th floor, residents have access to a rooftop deck with a pool and fire pits. Daily activity offerings include fitness classes, game nights, cooking classes and community happy hours. Allegro Management Co. operates the property.

KENOSHA, WIS. — Zilber Property Group has broken ground on a 23,359-square-foot speculative industrial building within the Business Park of Kenosha in Southeast Wisconsin. Known as Zilber Industrial 4, the facility will feature a clear height of 24 feet, two dock positions, one drive-in door and 26 car parking spaces. Completion is slated for this fall. The project team includes Partners In Design Architects, Riley Construction and Pinnacle Engineering Group. Sergio Chapa and Michael Prost of Newmark Knight Frank will market the building for lease.
DALLAS — Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX), a global provider of data colocation services, has completed a $142 million expansion project at its Dallas Infomart Data Center campus. The California-based company’s Dallas campus is located at 1950 N. Stemmons Freeways, spans roughly 1.6 million square feet and offers a power capacity of 60 megawatts. The project represents that first phase of a larger development and provides 72,000 square feet of colocation space for data storage. Future expansion phases may provide as much as 144,000 square feet of colocation space. Equinix purchased the property in 2018 from ASB Real Estate Investments for roughly $800 million.
KAPOLEI, HAWAII — Highridge Costa, in partnership with Honolulu-based Coastal Rim Properties, has completed the first phase of Hale Moena Kupuna, a $130 million affordable seniors and multifamily rental community in Kapolei on the island of Oahu. The first phase is a 13-story high-rise designated for seniors, featuring 153 affordable apartments in a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Upon full build-out, the three-phase Hale Moena Kupuna will offer two 13-story residential towers with ground-level retail and commercial space. Communities amenities include a community meeting room, picnic area and a community workspace with high-speed internet access. The development is being financed with a combination of tax-exempt bonds, tax credit equity and a $10.7 million rental housing revolving fund loan from the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corp. Citibank is serving as the construction lender and Aegon is the tax credit investor.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Atco Properties & Management and Shorenstein Properties LLC have opened the Gama Goat Building, a 140,000-square-foot office building in Charlotte. The new building is situated at 1701 N. Graham St. within the 1 million-square-foot mixed-use development, Camp North End. The open-air property also features four food halls, including La Caseta, Bleu Barn Bistro and Saru by Bow Ramen, which were all unveiled during the grand opening ceremony held Wednesday. S9 Architecture served as the design architect, BB+M Architecture served as the local production architect and LandDesign served as the civil engineer and landscape architect for the Gama Goat Building. Jessica Brown, David Dorsch, Kris Westmoreland and Grant Keyes of Cushman & Wakefield will handle leasing efforts at the building. Approximately 3,000 square feet of retail space is available for lease, including the fourth food stall. Fitness concept bloc also leases space at the Gama Goat Building.
MESQUITE, TEXAS — The City Council of Mesquite, located east of Dallas, has approved a proposal for a 280-acre industrial park, a project that is expected to generate about $200 million in capital investment in land, infrastructure and construction. Dallas-based Wynne/Jackson has been tapped to lead development of the project, preliminary plans for which call for six industrial buildings ranging in size from 120,000 to 1 million square feet. The site is located along the Interstate 20 corridor in an area of town known as Trinity Pointe Mesquite and will ultimately be able to accommodate as much as 3 million square feet of industrial space. The development team expects to break ground by early 2021, but notes that strong demand could necessitate an earlier start date.
SAN JOSE, CALIF. — A joint venture between Los Angeles-based AMCAL Equities and Northern California-based Swenson is developing The Grad, a student housing community in downtown San Jose. Situated within one block of San Jose State University, the 19-story, L-shaped building will feature 260 units totaling 1,039 beds. The top 17 floors will offer apartments, while building services and student amenities will occupy for first three levels, including double-height retail space on the ground floor. Interior, student-focused amenities will include a two-story lobby, yoga and spin studio, shared study rooms, computer center, multipurpose lounge area and leasing office/concierge desk. The property will feature an outdoor amenity deck with an exercise center with aerobic and weight equipment; a swimming pool with spa; sundeck; cabanas; barbeque grills; and picnic area. The amenity deck sits atop a three-story parking structure with a bicycle repair station and storage for 575 bicycles. Completion is slated for late summer 2020.
DALLAS — A partnership between Orlando-based ZOM Living and investment management firm Civitas Capital Group will develop Mezzo, a 378-unit multifamily project that will be located along the U.S. Highway 380 corridor in North Dallas. Designed by JHP Architecture, the garden-style property will consist of 13 three-story buildings with surface parking and attached garages, as well as Class A amenities. The first units are expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2021, with preleasing beginning in summer 2021. Stanford Construction is the general contractor for the project. Synovus Bank provided construction financing.
KT Urban Receives Approval for Westport Cupertino Seniors Housing, Multifamily Project in California

CUPERTINO, CALIF. — The City of Cupertino Planning Commission has approved the development of Westport Cupertino, a seniors housing and multifamily community in Cupertino. KT Urban is developing the property. The mixed-use project has now cleared all required approvals except the City Council, which plans to review the proposal in the next month. Located at 21267 Stevens Creek Blvd., Westport Cupertino will feature 206 senior living apartments, including 48 affordable units and 27 memory-care units, and 88 single-family units in a mix of row home and townhome styles. In addition, the development includes 20,000 square feet of retail. The site is located across the street from De Anza College and the Cupertino Senior Center. Community amenities will include an on-site library, theater, lounge, restaurant, café, roof deck and terrace, medical offices and exercise rooms providing a range of activities and support for senior residents. Additionally, the project will feature below-grade parking, electrical vehicle charging stations and bicycle parking. The project is a redevelopment of the former 71,254-square-foot Oaks Shopping Center, which sits on an 8.1-acre site. KT Urban’s original plan was rejected by the City Council in 2017, but the new proposal includes the addition of seniors housing and below-market-rate units. …
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS — General contractor Paragon Services Inc. has completed renovations of Boardwalk at Town Center, a 450-unit multifamily community in The Woodlands, roughly 30 miles north of Houston. The project began in fall 2018. Units at the property now feature wood-style plank flooring, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel hardware. The renovations also delivered upgrades to the amenity spaces, which include two pools, a game room, rooftop lounge, business center, fitness studio, coffee bar, pet park and a clubroom with a gourmet kitchen.
