COLUMBUS, OHIO — Nationwide Realty Investors has unveiled plans for additional development at Grandview Yard, a mixed-use project in Columbus. Construction has begun on a new two-story, 34,000-square-foot office building on the north side of Goodale Boulevard. Columbus-based law firm Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLC will occupy approximately 17,000 square feet on the second floor. Completion is slated for spring 2020. Nationwide also has plans for The Junction, a three-building townhome development comprising 20 two-story residences. Townhome residents will have access to The Yard Club, Grandview Yard’s residential amenity building and clubhouse featuring a pool, fitness center and community room, as well as a mix of retail and dining options. When fully complete, Grandview Yard will encompass 1.2 million square feet of office, restaurant, retail and hospitality space as well as parks and approximately 1,500 residential units.

GERMANTOWN, WIS. — Zilber Property Group has unveiled plans to develop two speculative industrial facilities totaling 403,021 square feet in Germantown, a northwest submarket of Milwaukee. The buildings will be situated within the newly constructed Germantown Gateway Corporate Park. Currently, a 706,000-square-foot distribution facility occupied by Wauwatosa-based Briggs & Stratton Corp. anchors the business park. The new facilities will feature clear heights of 30 feet, LED lighting and ESFR sprinkler systems. A timeline for development was not disclosed.
HOUSTON — Indianapolis-based REIT Duke Realty (NYSE: DRE) will develop Clay 99 Building 5, a 433,200-square-foot speculative industrial project in Houston. The property, which will be marketed to logistics users, will be situated on 23.7 acres just off Grand Parkway at the intersection of Clay and Peek roads on the city’s northwest side. Building features will include 36-foot clear heights, 190-foot truck courts on both sides, 347 automobile parking spaces and 100 trailer parking spaces. Delivery is slated for February 2020.
BELTON, MO. — Raising Cane Restaurants LLC has received approval from the Belton Planning Commission to build a 3,160-square-foot restaurant near I-49 in Belton. The $1.5 million development will consist of a one-story drive-thru restaurant on a 1.7-acre lot at 1599 E. North Ave. The Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant will include an indoor dining room with 80 seats, a covered outdoor area with 25 seats and 36 parking spaces. PM Design Group is the architect and Premier Design Group is the project engineer. The restaurant is slated for a 2020 opening.
Bank OZK Provides $95M Construction Loan for Mixed-Use Development on Upper East Side

NEW YORK CITY — Bank OZK has provided a $95 million construction loan for an 85,000-square-foot, 15-story mixed-use condominium development on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Located at 150 E. 78th St., the project will include 25 condominium units as well as several thousand square feet of ground-floor retail space. Bank OZK provided the financing to Midwood Investment & Development and EJS Real Estate. Terms of the financing were not disclosed. The developer plans to break ground on the project this summer.
KANSAS CITY, MO. — Cohen-Esrey Development Group is converting a seven-story office building in Kansas City into a luxury apartment project. The first phase of construction, Midtown Plaza, will add 107 luxury one- and two-bedroom units to the Midtown area. Additional phases of construction call for retail and office space and a rooftop restaurant, as well as additional apartments and townhomes. California-based Kartel Capital purchased the property in 2008. Cohen-Esrey is the project developer and Construction Technologies is the general contractor. John Perlik and Don Coleman of CBRE Capstone arranged construction financing through Arvest Bank.
MINNETONKA, MINN. — Doran Cos. will break ground later this month on a new luxury apartment community in Minnetonka. The 175-unit property will be located at the intersection of Wayzata Boulevard and Fairfield Road near I-394. The project is the first Doran project led by Doran RE Partners LLC, a new independent development venture that pursues joint venture development deals relying on capital independent of Kelly Doran. At more than 20,000 square feet, the amenity space will feature a pool, spa, sauna, entertainment suite, clubroom, game area, fitness center, coworking space and outdoor grilling area. The community will include 35 income-restricted units at 50 percent of the area median income. The city of Minnetonka provided $4.8 million in tax-increment financing for the affordable units.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Dallas-based development firm Lang Partners has broken ground on The Cooper, a $65 million multifamily project in Fort Worth. Located at 1001 W. Rosedale St., the property will consist of 390 units in one-, two- and three-bedroom formats. Units will range in size from 600 to 1,810 square feet and will feature 10- to 12-foot ceilings, walk-in closets and showers, private terraces, quartz countertops and platinum silver appliances. Communal amenities include a pool with private cabanas, outdoor grilling and lounge area, fitness center with a yoga studio, coffee bar, pet park, coworking office space and package lockers with cold storage and dry cleaning services. KWA Construction is the general contractor and GFF is the architect for the project, which is slated for an August 2020 completion.

The expansion will bring the asset to more than 400,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space. ST. PETERS, MO. — Propper Construction Services is nearing completion of 5300 Centre Apartments, a 265-unit luxury apartment complex in St. Peters, about 30 miles west of St. Louis. Slated to open this summer, the two-building property is situated at the intersection of Mexico Road and St. Peters Centre Boulevard near St. Peters City Centre Park. The buildings are connected by a covered bridge. Green space built on top of parking decks features community gardens, individual garden plots, outdoor gaming areas, grilling stations and recreational space. Other amenities include a pool, fitness center, yoga studio, dog park and pet salon. Monthly rental rates will range from $920 for studios to $2,555 for three-bedroom suites. Leasing is underway.
