INDIANAPOLIS — Meridian Design Build is constructing a 122,000-square-foot industrial build-to-suit for Ferguson Enterprises in Indianapolis. The new facility, located on a 14.8-acre site at 4110 N. Franklin Road, will serve as a distribution facility for the company’s plumbing division. The building will include a 10,000-square-foot office space, a 5,000-square-foot sales area and 106,000 square feet of warehouse space with 19 loading dock positions. The property will be able to accommodate 50,000 square feet of future expansion. A timeline for completion was not disclosed. Cornerstone Architects is providing architectural services while American Structurepoint is serving as civil engineer. Ferguson Enterprises distributes products for plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, waterworks and industrial equipment.

ST. LOUIS — Confluent Development and Draper and Kramer Inc. are planning to redevelop the former Southwest Bank property in the Reber Place Historic District of St. Louis. Upon completion, the project will be home to a 4,200-square-foot BMO Harris Bank, a 10,000-square-foot Walgreens and a 2,700-square-foot space for an additional retailer. Completion is slated for spring 2019. Rosemann & Associates is serving as the project architect.

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — New Jersey-based The Silverman Group will break ground next week on Foreign Trade Zone, a $65 million industrial project located on 400 acres in Summerville, roughly 25 miles from the Port of Charleston. The first building at the development will total 562,544 square feet and will feature 36-foot clear heights, ample dock doors and trailer storage. The park will also include 520,000 square feet of proposed build-to-suit land. The project is slated for completion in the fourth quarter.

PHOENIX — A joint venture between Confluent Development and DPC Companies has started construction of HUB 317, a spec distribution building in Phoenix. The project is located at 317 S. 48th St. The 225,000 square feet of industrial/distribution space is designed to accommodate multiple large tenants. The project will feature a contemporary design, 32-foot clear ceiling/stacking height, and dock-high loading. It will be completed in summer 2018.

ATASCOCITA, TEXAS — Houston-based The National Realty Group (TNRG) and Dallas-based MedCore Partners have acquired seven acres in the Houston suburb of Atascocita, with plans to build an independent living, assisted living and memory care community on the site. The project will feature 186 units located near the shores of Lake Houston. Integral Senior Living will operate the community upon completion. Design is scheduled for completion by November of this year, followed immediately by construction. The developers plan to deliver the completed community in March 2020.

MILWAUKEE — CBL Properties has unveiled plans for the redevelopment of the former Sears building at Brookfield Square in Brookfield, a suburb of Milwaukee. The first phase of the redevelopment calls for new dining and entertainment options that will include WhirlyBall and BistroPlex from Marcus Theatres. Construction is expected to begin this month with planning underway for additional phases of redevelopment. WhirlyBall will include indoor entertainment paired with a chef-inspired menu and rotating craft beers and seasonal cocktails. The two-story venue will feature two WhirlyBall courts, eight bowling lanes, a four-lane VIP bowling suite and a multi-level LaserTag arena. BistroPlex will feature in-theater dining with recliner seating and a full-service bar and lounge area.

KANSAS CITY, MO. — Windsor Aughtry Hotel Group has begun development of a Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton in Kansas City. The 132-room, seven-story hotel will be located at 1571 Main St. Designed by McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, the hotel will include a Starbucks on the ground floor. Crossland Construction Co. is the general contractor and Hospitality America Inc. will manage the property. Completion is slated for early 2019. This is Windsor Aughtry’s first hotel in the Midwest.

ORLANDO, FLA. — Roger B. Kennedy Construction has broken ground on Ecco on Orange, a 300-unit apartment community located at 3135 S. Orange Ave. in Orlando. An affiliate of LeCesse Development Corp. is developing the $40 million community, which will include two five-story and one four-story apartment buildings, along with a seven-story parking garage. Community amenities will include a rooftop pool, clubhouse and a fitness center. The Miami office of 5G Studio Collaborative, an architecture firm, is designing the project, which is slated for completion in November 2019.

SAN ANTONIO — Seavest Healthcare Properties LLC has opened The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio Health Pavilion – Stone Oak, a 60,000-square-foot healthcare property in northern San Antonio. The three-story ambulatory care facility is part of the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System. Services offered by the new facility include an emergency room, physicians’ offices and a diagnostic imaging services center, as well as a pediatric outpatient testing and treatment center. Trammell Crow Co. served as co-developer of the property.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth will open a real estate center, according to the school’s website. The center, which has received more than $2 million in funding, will provide educational resources, research and networking opportunities for the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) real estate industry. The Neeley School of Business is currently undergoing a $5.5 million expansion project that should deliver new facilities by January 2020, and the real estate center is expected to be housed within the expanded space.
