EAST LANSING, MICH. — Costco Wholesale Corp. has opened a 165,000-square-foot membership warehouse in East Lansing. The property is situated on a 64-acre parcel near I-69 that is the site of a former golf course. Shawn O’Brien of CBRE|Martin began working with Costco in 2012 for site selection in the Lansing market. This is Costco’s 15th store in the state of Michigan. A grand opening took place on Friday, Oct. 27.

Residences-at-Mill-10-Ludlow-MA

LUDLOW, MASS. — WinnCompanies has completed the $19.3 million adaptive reuse project that transformed a 110-year-old mill building into Residences at Mill 10, an age-restricted seniors housing property located in Ludlow. The four-story, 108,163-square-foot building features 63 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom apartments for residents age 55 and older. On-site amenities include community spaces and common areas on each floor, a fitness center, laundry facilities, a resident lounge and parking. WinnResidential is managing the property, which is fully leased. Dellbrook Construction served as general contractor and The Architectural Team provided architectural services for the project.

CHICAGO — Skender Construction has completed a 21,000-square-foot office build-out for The Climate Corp., a subsidiary of Monsanto Co. The company creates digital tools to help farmers sustainably increase their productivity. The new office, located at 1330 W. Fulton Market, incorporates rustic wood walls, oversized barn doors and an antique tractor on display. Two workshops house the company’s equipment and ongoing projects. A large break room offers ping pong and foosball for employees. Skender collaborated with architect Shive-Hattery and COR Consulting for the project.

DALLAS — Cabot Properties Inc. and Stream Realty Partners have broken ground on International Logistics Center, a 646,796-square-foot industrial property situated on 40 acres on the south side of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport. The development includes three buildings that can accommodate tenant sizes of 20,000 to 320,000 square feet. Peinado Construction is serving as general contractor for the project, which was designed by GSR Andrade Architects.

CARY, N.C. — MetLife Inc. has broken ground on the third office building at its Global Technology Campus in Cary, roughly 12 miles west of Raleigh. Raleigh-based Highwoods Properties developed all three assets, the first two of which was delivered in 2015. Upon completion, the new building will bring more than 500 jobs to the Cary area. The Global Technology Campus sits on 26.5 acres and, at full build-out, will include three, 213,500-square-foot office buildings. The existing buildings are LEED-certified, and the new building is being designed to achieve the certification as well. The campus features a terrace overlooking Lake Crabtree, an outdoor amphitheater, basketball court, walking trails, campus-wide Wi-Fi, sit-stand desks, wellness rooms, collaborative meeting rooms, coffee bars and structured parking. The new building is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2019.

PLANTATION, FLA. — PREMIER Design + Build Group is leading the design and construction of a 221,542-square-foot warehouse located at the intersection of Interstate 95 and Broward Boulevard in Plantation. Bridge Development Partners LLC is the project developer. Upon completion, the warehouse will have the flexibility to accommodate multiple tenants from 40,000 square feet. The building will feature an ESFR sprinkler system, T-5 energy efficient warehouse lighting, 44 rear-loading dock doors and three drive-in doors. RLC Architects is providing architectural services for the project. Flynn Engineering Services is the civil engineer and DDA Engineers is the structural engineer. Colliers International will represent the building. Construction on the warehouse is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2018.

The property will offer studio, one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from 525 to 1,751 square feet. OLIVE BRANCH, MISS. — Hilton Worldwide has opened Home2 Suites by Hilton Olive Branch, a 94-room hotel in Olive Branch, roughly 30 miles southeast of Memphis, Tenn. Located at 7595 Lodging Lane, the hotel is within walking distance to shops and restaurants, as well as the Cherokee Valley Golf Club. Home2 Suites by Hilton Olive Branch features complimentary internet, communal spaces and standard Home2 Suites amenities, including Spin2 Cycle, a combined laundry and fitness area; Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items; a complimentary breakfast; and an indoor pool and outdoor patio with a grilling area. Lodging Lane Hospitality LLC manages the property.

BROOMFIELD, COLO. — Northstar Commercial Partners, with its new equity partner Red Starr Investments, has plans to redevelop a property at 800 Hoyt St. in Broomfield, just east of Boulder. The company is demolishing the existing 110,000-square-foot structure to build a new industrial park on the 20-acre, environmentally remediated site. The finished project will contain two buildings totaling 315,720 square feet of Class A warehouse space. David Eyzenberg and Diana Davidson of Eyzenberg & Co. secured the equity partner for this $37 million development deal.

PORTLAND, ORE. — Cushman & Wakefield has completed the remodeling of its long-time office in downtown Portland. The office is located at 200 S.W. Market St. Cushman & Wakefield has resided in the building since 1989. The remodel includes new design enhancements and amenities making for a more collaborative, technologically advanced, functionally efficient and enjoyable workplace. The office features numerous common areas and meeting rooms, two phone booths for private calls, a private wellness room, Skype for Business technology, on-site showers and smart lighting based on occupancy, among other features. The building was initially constructed in 1973. Russell Development completed a $25 million reconstruction of the building in 1990. The firm also installed new on-site amenities earlier this year, including bocce ball courts, and completed an upgrade to the outdoor terrace area. The building is co-managed by Russell Development Co. and Cushman & Wakefield, both of which have offices on the site.
