ST. CHARLES, MO. — Cullinan Properties Ltd. has unveiled plans for the next phase of construction at Streets of St. Charles, which is located about 25 miles northwest of St. Louis. Phase II will include a 60,000-square-foot, three-story building designed to accommodate more retail and office tenants. Construction is slated to begin in spring 2018. The building, located at the northeast corner of Beale and Lombard streets, will incorporate 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 40,000 square feet of office space. Cullinan Properties will handle leasing efforts for the retail space, while Balke Brown Transwestern will market the office space. Streets of St. Charles, which opened in 2012, features tenants such as Prasino, Tucanos Brazilian Grill, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Leopard Boutique, Olivino Tasting Bar and Sole & Blues.

SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — J.C. Anderson Inc. has completed an 11,000-square-foot office renovation for Athenex in Schaumburg, a northwest suburb of Chicago. New York-based Athenex is a biopharmaceutical company. The property is located at 10 N. Martingale Road. J.C. Anderson added conference rooms, a videoconference boardroom, open offices and a pantry. Matt Kantro and Bob Hickey of J.C. Anderson led the project team, while Whitney Architects provided architectural services.

ORLANDO, FLA. — Tavistock Development Co. has unveiled plans for a new 215-room hotel at Lake Nona, a 7,000-acre master-planned community in southeast Orlando. Designed by architecture firm Arquitectonica, the 16-story hotel will feature a 200-person capacity ballroom; rooftop pool, lounge and bar; more than 6,000 square feet of meeting space; 24-hour fitness center with on-demand fitness from Technogym; and ground floor retail located next to The Lawn, a multi-purpose, open-air green space within Lake Nona Town Center. The new hotel will be situated within the next phase of the Town Center. At full build-out, the Town Center will feature more than 3.8 million square feet. Its first phase opened in January 2016 with an 85,000-square-foot office building, two hotels, 16,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and a multi-level parking structure.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA. — CBRE has arranged $36.6 million in construction and permanent financing for the development of Parkside at the Beach Apartments, a 288-unit market-rate multifamily community in Panama City Beach. Robert LaChapelle and Ann Cone of CBRE arranged the 40-year, fully amortizing loan with 22 months of interest-only payments on behalf of the borrower, Parkside PCB LLC. The loan is being funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) 221(d)(4) new construction mortgage insurance program. Parkside at the Beach Apartments is being developed by a joint venture between The Ardent Cos. and Parkside Equities. The development will be located at 17225 Panama City Beach Parkway and will feature a clubhouse, storage units, boat storage, cyber café, fitness center, pool and a dog park.

KENNESAW, GA. — Stratus Development has delivered The Haven at Kennesaw, a 148-bed student housing community roughly one and a half miles from Kennesaw State University and 30 miles north of Atlanta. The apartment units feature private outdoor spaces, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, premium fixtures and bedroom-bathroom parity. Community amenities include a pool and sundeck, clubhouse with coffee bar and business center, bike racks and greenspace throughout the community. Athens Real Estate Group is managing the property, which opened for move-in in August at full occupancy.

DALLAS — Dallas-based development and asset management firm Oaxaca Interests will redevelop a warehouse located at 660 Fort Worth Ave. in west Dallas into a 10,000-square-foot retail and restaurant property. The warehouse property, which was previously occupied by W&B Refrigeration Service Co., is situated on one acre next to the Sylvan/Thirty mixed-use development. Oaxaca is targeting two to five tenants for the project, construction of which is scheduled to begin before the end of 2017 and wrap up in fall 2018.

LAS VEGAS — Pollo Campero has opened its newest restaurant in Las Vegas, marking the second Las Vegas location and 75th location nationwide. The new restaurant is the second Pollo Campero for GSK 3 Investments, which is owned by franchisees Maria Enamorado and her sons, Gurpaul and Gurdev Kular. In April, GSK 3 Investments opened Nevada’s first Pollo Campero restaurant in North Las Vegas. The latest restaurant opening is part of Pollo Campero’s strategic development plan focused on strengthening its footprint in existing markets and opening new restaurants in key cities in the United States through corporately owned and franchised units. As part of its franchising agreement, GSK 3 Investments will open a third Las Vegas Pollo Campero restaurant in the near future. Pollo Campero is a chicken restaurant brand founded in 1971 in Guatemala.

ALTOONA, IOWA — New England Development has opened Outlets of Des Moines in Altoona. The region’s first outlet center features retailers such as ASICS, Nike Factory Store, Express Factory Store, francesca’s, LOFT Outlet, Converse, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Vera Bradley, Levi’s, Brooks Brothers and Le Creuset. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Friday, Oct. 20. The construction phase created about 500 jobs and the outlet center is expected to generate an additional 800 jobs, according to New England Development. The development is expected to generate about $100 million in annual retail sales. The property is located at 801 Bass Pro Drive near I-80. A video recap of opening weekend can be found here.

LAKE ZURICH, ILL. — PREMIER Design + Build Group LLC has completed a 51,000-square-foot office headquarters for Echo Inc. in Lake Zurich, about 40 miles northwest of Chicago. The manufacturer of power equipment already occupies an existing industrial facility at the site. In addition to a two-story lobby, the property features 14 private offices on the first floor and 27 offices on the second floor. A new training and conference area can accommodate more than 100 people. Mark Melone, Samantha Skopek and Tom Johnson led the project team on behalf of PREMIER. The project team also included architect Stephen Rankin Associates, structural engineer Structurelogic Inc. and civil engineer Kimley-Horn.

SKOKIE, ILL. — The Missner Group has completed a 38,000-square-foot office headquarters renovation for Generation Brands in Skokie, about 15 miles northwest of Chicago. The two-phase project included 19,000 square feet of office renovations and the build-out of a 19,000-square-foot showroom for the lighting and ceiling fan company. Phase I included the construction of private offices, conference areas, a corporate training room, kitchen area and employee lounge area. The showroom features lighting and fan fixtures with ceilings and floors that complement the lighting. Kent Nepras and Scott Nomellini led the project team on behalf of the Missner Group. Dearborn Architects provided architectural services.
