PLANO, TEXAS — Provident Realty Advisors will develop The Legacy at Spring Creek, a 37-acre mixed-use project located at the corner of Dallas North Tollway and Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Designed by O’Brien Architects, the project will feature up to 100,000 square feet of retail space, three eight- to 10-story office buildings and a 200-room hotel. Construction is slated to begin in January 2018. Cushman & Wakefield will handle leasing of the property.

HOUSTON — Clay Development and Construction has broken ground on Cutten Distribution Center I, a 293,280-square-foot industrial facility located on Cutten Road in northwest Houston. Built entirely on a speculative basis, the property will be the 15th building within the 165-acre Cutten Road Business Park and feature 60-foot bays with 32-foot clear heights, trailer parking and a sprinkler system. Completion of the center is scheduled for January 2018.

LAKEWAY, TEXAS — Equity LLC will develop a 42,000-square-foot medical office property on 2.8 acres within the Baylor Scott and White-Lakeway Regional Medical Center campus in the Austin metro of Lakeway. Premier Family Physicians will serve as the anchor tenant of the new development. The project will include 190 surface-level parking spaces. Leasing of the property is expected to commence in January 2019.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Legacy Suites has opened a new hotel at 1835 Canterbury Glen Lane in Rock Hill, a South Carolina suburb of Charlotte. Built by MC Hotel Construction, the $11 million, four-story hotel comprises 64,000 square feet and includes 115 rooms. The extended-stay hotel features a kitchen and full-size appliances. Amenities include a gathering room, fitness center, laundry facilities, barbeque grills and a picnic area. MC Hotel Construction’s sister company, Midas Hospitality, will manage the new property. The Rock Hill location is the second Legacy Suites hotel in the country, the other being in Donaldsonville, La. A third Legacy Suites location is slated to open in Greenville, S.C., in summer 2018.

EVANSTON, ILL. — Real Capital Solutions Inc. and RMK Management Corp. have opened 1620 Central, a 47-unit luxury apartment building in Evanston. The four-story property, located at 1620 Central St., is 40 percent leased. Floor plans include one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 601 to 1,297 square feet. Monthly rents range from $2,020 to $3,287. Amenities include a bike storage room, electronic package management system and dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up. TJM Development Inc. and Real Capital Solutions developed the property. First National Bank provided project financing, while McHugh Homes was the general contractor.

SAN ANTONIO — Casey Development Ltd. has broken ground on The Keep Storage, a 77,000-square-foot self-storage facility located just south of Thousand Oaks Drive and Henderson Pass in San Antonio. The Class A property will feature 500 climate-controlled units totaling more than 55,000 square feet of net rentable space. Archcon Architecture designed the project. Capco Construction, the project’s general contractor, expects to deliver the property in May 2018.

WACO, TEXAS — CBL & Associates Properties Inc., a publicly traded, Chattanooga, Tenn.-based retail developer, has begun work on a 45,000-square-foot Dick’s Sporting Goods location in Waco. The property will be situated within the Richland Mall, which is located at 6001 W. Waco Drive and totals roughly 700,000 square feet. The store opening is scheduled for spring 2018.

BARTLESVILLE, OKLA. — GBT Realty Corp. has completed Silver Lake Village, a $20 million, 85,000-square-foot retail center in Bartlesville, about 45 miles north of Tulsa. The shopping center is currently leased to tenants such as Ulta Beauty, Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx and Rack Room Shoes. Approximately 5,500 square feet of space and three once-acre outparcels of space are currently available for lease.

ARLINGTON, VA. — Washington REIT has broken ground on The Trove, a 401-unit apartment community located in the Columbia Pike corridor of Arlington, roughly five miles southwest of Washington, D.C. The property will comprise three seven-story buildings, including a mix of studio to three-bedroom units. KGD Architecture, is designing The Trove to achieve LEED Silver certification. Community amenities will include a rooftop deck, a pool, cabanas, fire pits, grills, movie screens, fitness center, co-working areas and bike storage. The project is slated to deliver in 2019.

The community offers 37 individual cottage homes and 37 townhouses along the Genesee River. The property features sidewalks; on-street parking; over 2.5 miles of walking trails; a 6,500-square-foot clubhouse; pool deck; study lounges; a business center; social areas with billiards, ping pong and media screens; outdoor grilling stations; a 24-hour fitness center with a yoga studio; athletic fields; and fire pits. All homes are fully furnished and leased by the bed. The property was 99-percent pre-leased, and opened one month ahead of schedule.
