DALLAS — McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. has completed a new office building and aircrew training facility within Southwest Airlines’ corporate campus in Dallas. The entire project, which began in May 2016, consists of a six-story, 425,000-square-foot office building and an attached 375,000-square-foot training center that will house 18 flight simulators. The project will also deliver a 1,950-space parking garage upon full completion during the first quarter of 2018.

KATY, TEXAS— Vista Equities Group has broken ground on the final phase of development of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, a 34-acre, mixed-use development in Katy. Expected to be complete in early 2018, the final phase will add a 37,000-square-foot Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, a five-story parking garage and an additional 7,500 square feet of retail space to the 360,000-square-foot development.
FAIRFIELD, OHIO — Founders Properties LLC has fully leased Port Union Commerce Park, which spans both cities of Fairfield and West Chester. O’Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt Armoring Co. LLC and ProFill Fulfillment leased the final two spaces at the industrial development, comprising approximately 235,000 square feet. Located near the intersection of State Route 747 and Port Union Road north of Cincinnati, the two new buildings at the park total 807,000 square feet and join two previously constructed buildings. The buildings feature 60-foot deep trailer storage in the truck courts, car and trailer parking, as well as ESFR sprinklers and T-5 fluorescent lighting. Opus Development Co. was the developer, Opus Design Build was the design-builder and Opus AE Group was the architect and structural engineer of record. Mike Lowe and Doug Whitten of CBRE managed lease-up for the owner, Founders Properties.
SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago/Schaumburg has opened in Schaumburg’s business district. The 107-suite hotel features amenities such as a combined laundry and fitness area, complimentary breakfast, indoor pool and barbecue grills. Located at 1300 E. American Lane, the hotel offers convenient access to Woodfield Mall. Superhost Hospitality will manage the hotel. Schaumburg Meacham Pointe LLC owns the hotel. The Delaware-based limited liability company retained the services of Inland National Development Corp. as its developer to oversee the construction of the hotel.
FONTANA, CALIF. — Construction has commenced on the 598,000-square-foot Sierra Lakes Commerce Center in Fontana. A joint venture between Trammell Crow Co. and Clarion Partners is developing the Class A speculative logistics center. The space is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2018. Fullmer Construction will build the property, which RGA Architecture designed. JP Morgan Chase provided financing for the project. Bill Heim and Michael Chavez of Lee & Associates will lease and market the building.
LAKEWOOD, WASH. — A joint venture between PCCP and Panattoni Development Co. has announced plans to develop a 467,526-square-foot warehouse distribution facility in Lakewood. The project is fully approved and construction has commenced. The facility should be completed in February 2018. Tacoma Gateway will be situated less than a mile from Interstate 5, 35 miles south of Seattle’s CBD and 12 miles south of the Port of Tacoma.
CYPRESS, TEXAS — Newcor Commercial Real Estate has negotiated the sale of two 5.5-acre tracts in the Houston metro of Cypress for the development of Piney Woods Storage @ Oakcrest. The facility will feature 200,000 square feet of climate-controlled storage space, 150,000 square feet of boat and RV storage space and 18,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. David Alexander of Newcor represented the buyer, Piney Woods Storage @ Oakcrest LLC in the purchase of both tracts of land.
ROMEOVILLE, ILL. — Meridian Design Build has completed a 226,616-square-foot industrial tenant build-out for Molto Properties and LASCO Fittings Inc. in Romeoville. The property is located at 1881 Normantown Road. The new facility includes 4,486 square feet of office space and a 221,616-square-foot distribution warehouse with 35 loading docks, 205 auto parking stalls, 39 trailer stalls and two drive-in doors. Additional work consisted of a shipping office, dock upgrades and modifications to the overhead lighting. Ware Malcomb served as project architect and V3 Cos. provided civil engineering services for the project.
MUSKEGO, WIS. — Heritage Senior Living will open its 16th community in Wisconsin in Muskego, about 20 miles southwest of Milwaukee, in summer 2018. Construction has begun on the two-story, 108,000-square-foot community, located on Janesville Road. The property will feature 108 units, consisting of 29 independent living apartments, 36 assisted and enhanced assisted living apartments and 43 memory care suites. Amenities at Heritage Muskego will include a therapy pool, therapy/rehab gym, two private dining rooms, salon, pub, bistro, convenience store, outdoor patio with fire pit and gas grills and walking paths around the community.
PHILADELPHIA — Penn Medicine and IMC Construction have broken ground on the new Center for Healthcare Technology in Philadelphia. Located on Civic Center Boulevard, the first phase of the project will be a 250,000-square-foot, eight-story office building. The facility will be used for information technology and human resources. A second phase of the project will add an additional 10 stories totaling 290,000 square feet, bringing the tower to a total height of 18 stories and 540,000 square feet.
