CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Sealed Air Corp., the company behind brands such as Bubble Wrap and Cryovac, has opened its new office and research campus within LakePointe Corporate Center in Charlotte. Situated south of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the project features two office buildings totaling 220,000 square feet, a 170,000-square-foot research and development laboratory and two parking decks. Designed by Atlanta-based tvsdesign, the property is expected to house 1,300 of Sealed Air’s employees. Amenities at the campus include a fitness center, cafeteria and social spaces, including an outdoor pavilion.

DECATUR, GA. — Terwilliger Pappas has broken ground on Solis Decatur, a 290-unit apartment community that will be situated within the North Decatur Square mixed-use development in Decatur, a suburb of Atlanta. The property will be the multifamily component of the development, which will feature 89,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space leased to tenants including 365 by Whole Foods. Terwilliger Pappas partnered with SJ Collins Enterprises to develop Solis Decatur on an 11-acre parcel about a mile outside of downtown Decatur. JP Morgan and Atlantic Creek provided construction financing.

RALEIGH, N.C. — F.N.B. Corp., parent company of First National Bank, has signed on as the anchor tenant of a planned 22-story office and residential tower at 501 Fayetteville St. in downtown Raleigh. Named FNB Tower, the project will feature 150,000 square feet of Class A office space, 240 residential units and street-level retail space, including a branch of First National Bank. F.N.B. Corp. will occupy more than 40,000 square feet of office space with options to expand to accommodate future growth. The developer, Dominion Realty Partners, is aiming for FNB Tower to be LEED Platinum-certified. The groundbreaking for FNB Tower will take place this December, with delivery anticipated by the summer of 2019. CBRE | Raleigh will handle FNB Tower’s office and retail leasing responsibilities, and Dominion Realty will manage the property once complete. Gregg Broujos and Kathy Gigac of Colliers International and David Thor of JLL represented F.N.B. Corp. in the lease transaction.

SOUTHPORT, CONN. — Maplewood Senior Living has purchased 27 acres in Southport where it will build a 92,000-square-foot seniors housing community. Construction will begin this summer on Maplewood at Southport, a three-story, 98-unit assisted living and memory care center. Stein-Troost is the architect for the project, Landtech Engineering is the civil engineer, Milone & McBroom is the landscape architect and KBE Building Corp. of Farmington is the contractor.

LOS ANGELES — According to Westfield Corp., Jonathan Waxman’s NYCA Restaurant Group will be bring the chef’s cuisine back to Southern California with a restaurant to open in spring 2018. Waxman first gained fame with Alice Waters at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, and later worked at Michael’s in Santa Monica and Jams in New York City. Today, he is the chef and owner of Manhattan’s Barbuto restaurant, where he earned the 2016 James Beard Award as Best Chef – New York City. Waxman and NYCA Restaurant Group have now made the decision to open their first restaurant in Los Angeles at Westfield Century City. The restaurant will be located alongside the property’s front façade on Santa Monica Boulevard. Westfield Century Center is preparing for its grand opening in fall 2017. The redeveloped center will include more than 200 stores and restaurants including a new Nordstrom, new Macy’s, completely remodeled Bloomingdale’s and an Equinox fitness club. WASHINGTON, D.C. — Roadside Development and North America Sekisui House LLC (NASH) have inked a deal with supermarket chain Wegmans to anchor the redevelopment of the former Fannie Mae headquarters at 3900 Wisconsin Ave. in Washington, D.C. The redevelopment includes the original brick buildings that were constructed by Equitable Life Co. in 1958 and 1962, as well as nearly 10 acres surrounding the buildings. The redevelopment will feature retail, residential, cultural arts, hospitality and commercial space. The development team includes Shalom Baranes Associates and Michael Vergason Landscape Architects. A timeline for the project has yet to be announced.

HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS — Stonemont Financial Group, an Atlanta-based investment firm, is developing The Armory at Sam Houston, a 502-bed student housing community located adjacent to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. The property, which will feature a rooftop deck, resort-style pool and a seven-story parking garage, is scheduled to open in fall 2018. Temple, Texas-based MW Builders is serving as general contractor on the project. Denver-based Cardinal Management Group will handle leasing and management of the property.

PITTSBURGH — Shorenstein Properties has unveiled plans for phase two of its renovations at One Oxford Centre in downtown Pittsburgh. Permits have been issued and construction is set to commence later this month on the 45-story office tower. The second phase will include a facelift to the lobby, atrium and tenant amenities. Shorenstein has already invested over $10 million on mechanical updates including HVAC replacement, elevator control modernization, exterior window repairs and parking garage work. Future exterior work will include upgraded LED lighting and façade work.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Triple Five Cos. and the Ghermezian family, developers of the American Dream Meadowlands project, have secured $1.6 billion in private construction financing for the project, which is under construction and scheduled to open in March 2019. J.P.Morgan led the construction financing and Goldman Sachs led a tax-exempt bond offering. The project will include DreamWorks Water Park and the Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, both of which will be fully enclosed and open year-round. Other attractions will include the Big Snow Indoor Ski & Snowboard Park, a 1,350-seat Cirque Du Soleil theater, movie theaters by Cinemax, Sea Life Aquarium, Legoland Discovery Center, an 18-hole miniature golf course and an ice rink. Retailers will include Saks Fifth Avenue and Hermes.

DENVER — Church’s Chicken has entered into a multi-year development deal with Goalz Restaurant Group LLC to develop 20 Church’s Chicken restaurants per year in six states. The agreement, which will affect expansion in Colorado, as well as Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina and South Carolina, is Church’s largest ever with a single operator. For the new development deal, Shawn Eby, president of Goalz Restaurant Group, partnered with American Development Partners (ADP) for development of the restaurants. ADP will invest capital to fund real estate acquisitions, construction and design. ADP will be Goalz’s build-to-suit landlord.
