LANCASTER, TEXAS — Crow Holdings Capital-Real Estate will break ground this month on I-35 Logistics Crossing, a two-building, 1.2 million-square-foot industrial park located at the intersection of Interstates 35 and 20 in the south Dallas suburb of Lancaster. The property, which is slated for an early 2018 delivery, will feature 36-foot clear heights, 185-foot truck courts and trailer storage. Kurt Griffin and Nathan Orbin of Cushman & Wakefield will handle leasing of the property.

SUPERIOR, COLO. — DSP Builders has started construction of a 60,000-square-foot medical office building in Superior. The four-story Superior Medical Center will be situated at the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 36 and McCaslin Boulevard. The $18.5 million project is slated for completion by early 2018. It is 50 percent pre-leased to tenants like Boulder Community Health (BCH), Touchstone Imaging and Cornerstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. John Gustafson of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is overseeing leasing for the building. Intergroup Architects designed the property.

CULVER CITY, CALIF. — McCormick Construction has completed the renovation of the 45,000-square-foot Westwood One radio broadcast facility in Culver City. The campus is located at 8935, 8965 and 8944 Lindblade Ave. Cumulus Media recently acquired Westwood One, adding sports, news, talk, music and programming services. McCormick built 21 radio broadcast studios on the property. The CIM Group owns the site.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS — Developer Seefried Industrial Properties Inc. has delivered a 322,194-square-foot distribution and learning center in Grapevine for Mercedes-Benz USA. Situated on 31 acres along Lakeside Parkway at Enterprise Road, the property consists of a 262,969-square-foot distribution center and a 59,215-square-foot learning and performance center. Richardson-based construction firm Hill & Wilkinson served as general contractor on the project.

EDGERTON, KAN. — Copaken Brooks has begun development of Midwest Gateway, a 500,000-square-foot industrial property near the BNSF intermodal facility in Edgerton. The property will include two speculative buildings of 301,603 square feet and 186,107 square feet. The project is designed to meet the needs of warehouse, distribution and manufacturing users of smaller footprints. The buildings will feature 32-foot clear heights, motion sensor lighting, docks, truck parking and trailer storage. Construction is slated for completion in February 2018. Midwest Gateway is the closest development site to the BNSF intermodal, according to a press release. Bucky Brooks of Copaken Brooks, along with Nathan Anderson and Russel Pearson of NAI Heartland, are marketing the property for lease. Project team members include GMA Architects, ARCO National Construction, Shafer, Kline & Warren, Krudwig & Associates and Metro Air.

ST. PETERS, MO. — Knoebel Construction Inc. has nearly completed shell construction of The Shoppes at Mid Rivers in St. Peters. The interior build-out is scheduled to begin in June. The 270,000-square-foot shopping center is the largest mall to be built in St. Charles County since 2008. The property includes 14 buildings on 28 acres. The $54 million project is slated to open this fall. Confirmed tenants include Academy Sports + Outdoor, Burlington, Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Home Goods, Ulta Beauty, Five Below and Famous Footwear. Aspen Dental will be located on one of the four outparcels. GBT Realty Corp. is developing the center.

RESTON, VA. — Atlantic Realty Cos. has kicked off construction today on Hunters Woods at Trails Edge Senior Living Community located at 2222 Colts Neck Road in Reston, about 22 miles west of Washington, D.C. The $72 million seniors housing facility will span 230,000 square feet on a 4.3-acre lot. The development team, which comprises Atlantic Realty, AEW Capital Management and IntegraCare, is demolishing the existing United Christian Parish Church to make way for the 210-unit community by January 2019. The property will feature 90 independent living, 81 assisted living, 15 special needs and 24 memory care units. The project will offer 20 percent of the independent living units as affordable units and 4 percent of the assisted living beds will be available for residents who are eligible for the Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services Auxiliary Grant Program. Community amenities will include an arts studio, barbershop, salon, advanced security and communication technology and community-wide Wi-Fi. Jim Kornick of Avison Young’s Washington, D.C., office was the lead advisor bringing the project to fruition.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Facebook’s $1 billion data center in Fort Worth, which includes 440,000 square feet of server space and 70,000 square feet of administrative space, has gone operational. Construction of the property, which is situated on 150 acres at State Highway 170 and Park Vista Boulevard, began in June 2015. The Menlo Park, California-based media giant will also build a $267 million addition to the center that will deliver more than 400,000 square feet of additional space, according to The Dallas Morning News.

STILLWATER, OKLA. — Integrated Facility Services (IFS) has begun work on a $7.1 million HVAC and plumbing project for The Ranch, a $58 million retirement community under the Epworth Living brand in Stillwater that is currently under construction. Situated on 55 acres near Oklahoma State University, the 325,000-square-foot property will feature amenities such as 35,000 square feet of common area space, a fitness center, coffee shop and library. Completion of The Ranch is slated for March 2018.

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS — E Contractors, a Houston-based construction firm, has broken ground on Egrets Landing Sugar Land, a 22,000-square-foot, Class A office property. The building will be situated on 1.5 acres at the corner of U.S Highway 59 and State Highway 6 in the Houston metro of Sugar Land. E Contractors expects to complete the two-story building in January 2018.
