LAS VEGAS — Burke Construction Group has completed construction on an expanded warehouse facility for the Frito Lay Las Vegas Distribution Center. The center is located at 1209 Trade Drive. The 30,000-square-foot addition will allow Frito Lay to expand its existing warehouse facility. The space was built directly adjacent to the active warehouse, creating one common warehouse space. William E. Franz designed the property. Burke built the space on behalf of Con-Real LP.

DALLAS — Stoneleigh Cos. and USA Infrastructure Investments will open One Uptown, a 196-unit high-rise apartment tower in Uptown Dallas, in January 2017. The project, located on McKinney Avenue, will offer units with private balconies, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, washers and dryers and large walk-in closets with Elfa closet shelving systems. Community amenities will include a rooftop pool, a 9,000-square-foot sky deck and lounge, a relaxation zone with a fire pit, a demonstration kitchen, cabanas, a private fitness studio, an entertainment room, and two hospitality suites for out-of-town guests. The tower will also feature more than 18,000 square feet of restaurant space occupied by Circo, a five-star European restaurant, and Fogo de Chão, a Brazilian steakhouse. Dallas-based architect Phil Shepard designed the development.

CHICAGO — White Oak Realty has reopened a 487,000-square-foot office building located at 200 W. Jackson in Chicago’s Loop. Redesigned by Wright Heerema Architects, the 29-story building features new amenity space on the 28th floor, including a four-seasons hospitality lounge, a full-service conference facility, fitness center and access to healthy and convenient food. Additionally, the redesign includes a renovated lobby and building exterior. Morgan Harbour Construction worked with Wright Heerema Architects on all the interior and exterior renovations. A joint venture between White Oak Realty and Angelo Gordon & Co. purchased the property in 2015.

HYATTSVILLE, MD. — Fore Property Co. has formed a joint venture with PCCP LLC to develop The Edition, a five-story, Class A apartment community located at 3401 East-West Highway in downtown Hyattsville, roughly six miles north of Washington, D.C. Situated on a 3.7-acre site, The Edition will be part of an 11-acre mixed-use development that formerly housed a Kiplinger magazine publishing plant. The Edition’s amenities will include an outdoor recreational area with billiards, ping pong, barbecue stations and a fire pit. The community will also include a 412-space parking deck. The unit mix will consist of 72 studios, 148 one-bedroom units, 113 two-bedroom units and 18 three-bedroom units. Fore Property and PCCP are aiming for The Edition to be certified LEED Silver upon completion, which is scheduled for spring 2019.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. — DJM Capital Partners has completed the development of Phase I of Pacific City, a mixed-use development located in Huntington Beach. Phase I features 191,000 square feet of retail, 100,000 square feet of outdoor community space and 400,000 square feet of on-grade and subterranean parking. An eight-story, four-star oceanfront hotel named Pasea also opened at the property this year. Future components of the development will include a 516-unit residential community to be named The Residences at Pacific City. C.W. Driver Cos. built the first phase of the project, which is currently 80 percent leased to tenants including Equinox Fitness, LOT 579, Ola Mexican Kitchen, Tank Farm & Co., Barnabas Clothing, H&M, Free People, Tommy Bahama and Sephora. Jerde Partnership, SMS Architects and Lifescapes International designed the development.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Trammell Crow Co. (TCC) and Clarion Partners, on behalf of a comingled fund, have acquired a 95-acre site for the development of Park 183, a master-planned industrial business park. The 964,000-square-foot project, located at the intersection of Burleson Road and U.S. Route 183 in Austin, will be developed in multiple phases. Phase I will consist of the speculative development of two buildings totaling 247,000 square feet and significant road, drainage and utility infrastructure for the industrial park. Construction is expected to begin in January 2017. The design team for Park 183 includes STG Design, Jones|Carter, Wylie Consulting Engineers and Bihner Chin Engineering Ltd. Leasing and marketing will be handled by Mark Emerick, John Barksdale, Ace Schlameus and Darryl Dadon of CBRE.

ST. LOUIS — Cullinan Properties hosted a grand opening celebration on Thursday, Oct. 6, for Lofts@Euclid, a mixed-use building located at the corner of Euclid and Delmar in St. Louis’ Central West End. The 150,000-square-foot project involved the complete renovation of the historic Langan and Taylor Co. building, which was originally developed by Widman & Walsh. The redeveloped building by Cullinan Properties features 87 loft apartment units, ground-level retail and office space, a fitness center, rooftop deck and clubhouse area. Constructed in 1910, the building is one of the largest commercial buildings remaining in the Central West End historic district. Residents began occupying the building in June, and the building is approximately 70 percent leased.

ARLINGTON, VA. — Washington, D.C.-based Kettler has opened m.flats Crystal City, an 11-story, 198-unit high-rise apartment tower in Arlington’s Crystal City neighborhood. Situated on the former Crystal City Post Office, m.flats was the first residential building proposed to the Arlington County Board since the adoption of the Crystal City Sector Plan in 2010. KTGY Architecture + Planning designed the high-rise to meet LEED Silver certification. The property features one- and two-bedroom units with washed oak flooring, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. Community amenities include a clubroom, Wi-Fi access, fitness center, bike storage and workstation, all-season courtyard with fire and water features, rooftop swimming pool, sundeck with cabanas, outdoor kitchens and entertainment spaces with outdoor seating and dining areas. The design team includes civil engineer and consultant Bohler Engineering and general contractor John Moriarty & Associates.

METUCHEN, N.J. — Woodmont Properties has opened Woodmont Metro at Metuchen Station, a transit-oriented development located at the New Jersey Transit Metuchen Train Station in Metuchen. Situated at the corner of Pearl and New streets, the property features 273 residential apartments, an indoor pet spa, a swimming pool, outdoor fireplace and barbecue grilling areas. The community was developed by Woodmont Properties and Nexus Parking Systems, which built and operates the parking deck for the Metuchen Municipal Authority.

STOCKTON, CALIF. — Capstone Development Partners and the University of the Pacific have broken ground on a 381-bed, on-campus residence hall in Stockton. The 158,000-square-foot development will include two four-story buildings consisting of 142 studio, two- and four-bedroom units. A 15,000-square-foot amenity space will offer social and study areas for residents. Mogavero Architects designed the $36 million project, which is scheduled to open for occupancy in January 2018. Sundt Construction has been tapped to build the facility.
