ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Pellerin Real Estate has announced the name of its $20 million, 110,000-square-foot redevelopment project in Atlanta’s Grant Park neighborhood — The Beacon Atlanta. The project is a revitalization of six warehouses at 1039 Grant St. along the Atlanta BeltLine’s Southside Trail within blocks of Zoo Atlanta. Upon completion, The Beacon Atlanta will feature retail space, a fitness studio, wellness center, beauty salon, food market, loft office space and food and beverage production facilities. Construction is set to begin in late 2016, with a planned opening in the late summer of 2017.

Hello Kitty Orlando Universal Studios

ORLANDO, FLA. — JK2 Construction has wrapped up construction on the Hello Kitty and Betty Boop interactive retail experience at Universal Studios in Orlando. The project features 3,000 square feet of space dedicated to merchandise and interactive stations for Hello Kitty, the famous Japanese cartoon cat, and about 1,000 square feet for the iconic Betty Boop cartoon. The space was originally the home of an attraction centered on memorabilia from the TV show “I Love Lucy.” JK2 Construction, which also built the Universal Studios archway entrance, said the project costs exceeded $1.5 million and included changes to the building’s interior and exterior.

ELIZABETH, N.J. — Prologis has entered into a build-to-suit lease agreement with Fedway Associates, a wine and spirits distributor. The company will occupy a 539,000-square-foot stand-alone building at Prologis Ports Elizabeth-Seaport at 10 North Ave. East in Elizabeth. Located off Exit 13A on the New Jersey Turnpike, the distribution center will feature a 539,308-square-foot building and a planned 204,253-square-foot facility.

NEW YORK CITY — Steiner NYC has launched sales for residential condominiums at Steiner East Village, a full-service residential condominium development at 438 E. 12th St. in Manhattan’s East Village neighborhood. Designed by S9 Architects, the 82-unit property features an indoor pool, 2,000-square-foot fitness center, sauna, steam room, parking, resident library with fireplace, bike storage, pet spa, children’s playroom and a 4,000-square-foot common roof deck. The units, which were designed by Paris Forino, include 10-foot ceiling heights, oversized windows, marble finishes, wide-plank floors and top-of-the-line appliances. The property features one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom condos and penthouses, with all units starting at $1.1 million.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The Woodmont Co., in partnership with AIL Investment LP, has received tax incentives for the proposed Outlets at Alliance project from the city of Fort Worth. The Fort Worth City Council has voted 7-1 to approve a $20 million economic incentive for The Outlets at Alliance, a Hillwood Properties entity. The 330,000-square-foot shopping mall is planned for the east side of I-35 in north Fort Worth. The incentive is a grant of 85 percent of the city’s 1 percent sales tax if the project reaches $100 million in investment.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Lineage Logistics LLC, a warehousing and logistics company backed by investment firm Bay Grove, has opened its 180,000-square-foot cold storage distribution center in North Charleston. The property is located at 7748 Palmetto Commerce Parkway within Palmetto Commerce Park. Lineage Logistics worked with the South Carolina Ports Authority to facilitate the new property. Norfolk Southern provides rail service to the facility, which features 30 truck doors, four rail doors and parking for 100 cars.

ATLANTA — Charlotte-based FCA Partners has announced three new tenants joining The Exchange, a 44,500-square-foot retail center in Atlanta’s Buckhead district. The new tenants joining the previously announced Storico Fresco Pasta and YEAH! Burger include SculptHouse, Kohler Signature Showroom and Kale Me Crazy. SculptHouse, a boutique fitness destination, will occupy 3,600 square feet; Kohler Signature Showroom, a home furnishing store, will occupy 7,100 square feet at the “elbow” of the property along the connecting paseo; and Kale Me Crazy will occupy 1,300 square feet for its newest superfood café. The project is a redevelopment of the former Buckhead Exchange. FCA Partners expects for construction on the redevelopment to wrap up this month. FREDERICKSBURG, PA. — USAA Real Estate Co., in partnership with Trammell Crow Co., has completed the development of Lebanon Valley Distribution Center in Fredericksburg. The 874,126-square-foot warehouse/distribution building features a cross-dock design with 36-foot clear heights, ESFR sprinklers, 123 dock doors, two drive-in doors and parking for 219 cars and 202 trailers. Additionally, the property is expandable to up to 1 million square feet, 155 dock doors, 870 car parking spots and 247 trailer stalls with the potential of an additional 385 remote stalls. The project is the third project in the region completed by USAA RealCo and Trammell Crow.

WESTMONT, ILL. — The Missner Group will complete a large-scale renovation for McGrath Acura in Westmont, approximately 23 miles west of Chicago. Construction will include the addition of a 9,100-square-foot showroom with glass-enclosed offices, see-through fireplaces and coffered ceilings. The Missner Group will also remodel the delivery area and 4,000-square-foot service space. Services will also include updating the building exterior, parking lot and landscaping. Defilippis + Associates Inc. is the architect of record. Construction is slated for completion this summer.

HOUSTON — Simon Property Group plans to add a luxury hotel and residential tower to The Galleria, a premier shopping destination in Houston. The hotel and residences, which will both be located in the same building, will be situated on the corner of Sage and West Alabama streets. The project is part of a multi-year transformation of The Galleria, which began with the creation of a 200,000-square-foot flagship Saks Fifth Avenue store adjacent to the current location. Once the new Saks store opens later this month, Simon will convert the existing Saks store into a multi-level mall extension featuring 110,000 square feet of space. The tower will be on the site of a former Macy’s store and will span between 25 and 30 stories. Groundbreaking is expected in late 2017.
