FRANKLIN, TENN. — Crescent Communities plans to break ground this month on Two Greenway Centre, a five-story, 155,000-square-foot office building located within the Greenway Centre development in Nashville’s Cool Springs submarket in Franklin. The new Class A office building will be situated on a 16-acre lot adjacent to One Greenway Centre, which Crescent Communities previously developed and leased to Jackson National Life. The project will feature an on-site fitness center, free surface parking and access to existing walking trails. Little Diversified Architectural Consulting designed the building, Jason Holwerda of CNL Commercial Real Estate is the building’s leasing agent and Pinnacle Financial Partners is the construction lender. Crescent plans to deliver the new office project in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Atlanta Braves Reveal Name, Tenant Roster of Mixed-Use Project Adjacent to SunTrust Park

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Braves have revealed the name and several tenants of the new mixed-use development surrounding SunTrust Park, the team’s new ballpark set to open in Cobb County in 2017. The name of the project is The Battery Atlanta and the first wave of restaurants include Antico Pizza, Cru Food and Wine Bar, Tomahawk Taproom featuring Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Superica and a steak house concept with chef Linton Hopkins, the owner of Atlanta’s Holeman & Finch restaurants. In addition to restaurants and retail, The Battery Atlanta will be home to One Ballpark Center, Comcast’s regional office headquarters housing the new Innovation Lab. The Battery Atlanta is being developed by the Atlanta Braves along with retail partner Fuqua Development, office developer Pope & Land Enterprises and Pollack Shores Real Estate. The development will also house an Omni hotel and The Roxy Theatre, a 53,000-square-foot indoor entertainment venue co-developed by The Atlanta Braves and Live Nation.
HUNTSVILLE, ALA. — RCP Cos. plans to develop CityCentre at Big Spring, a $100 million mixed-use development in downtown Huntsville’s central business district. Located on Williams Avenue between Monroe Street and Lowe Avenue, CityCentre at Big Spring will feature nearly 50,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, more than 270 upscale apartment residences and office lofts. Plans also include two hotels operated by Huntsville-based Yedla Hotel Management that will span more than 230 rooms. The project’s structured and street-level parking will provide approximately 750 parking spaces. The new development will be integrated with Big Spring Park on nine acres downtown and between the popular Von Braun Center and Twickenham Square. Site demolition is complete, and construction is expected to begin by year-end. RCP Cos. plans to open Phase I in 2016. Pittsburgh-based Urban Design Associates serves as the project’s master planner and is providing insight on architectural patterns, building forms and the overall urban plan. Birmingham, Ala.-based CMH Architects is providing architectural services, and Retail Leasing Advisors and Dart Retail Advisors are the exclusive leasing agents for the new development.
PLYMOUTH, MINN. — Stahl Construction has broken ground on a 56,000-square-foot performing arts center for Providence Academy in Plymouth, a western Minneapolis suburb. The new arts center will be an all light-emitting diode (LED) performance theater. Studio 55 Architects designed the building, which is being constructed over a 15-month period. The three-story building will include 600 seats, an auditorium, lobby, parking garage and mechanical and storage areas. Providence Academy is a private school for grades K-12.
Armstrong Development Completes Construction on Nextcare Building at HighPointe Park in Thornton

THORNTON, COLO. — Armstrong Development has completed construction on a new 4,500-square-foot building at HighPointe Park in Thornton. Nextcare Urgent Care now occupies the freestanding structure. Construction commenced on the pad this past April and was completed in late September. The urgent care officially opened Tuesday, Oct. 13.
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — Autograph Collection Hotels has added The Citizen hotel in Sacramento to its portfolio. The hotel is situated inside the California Life Insurance Building. It contains the Grange Restaurant and Bar, as well as 9,000 square feet of meeting space. Autograph is part of the Marriott International brand. Its global portfolio consists of 93 hotels worldwide.
PLANO, TEXAS — Alliance Architects has completed Phase II of a renovation project for the City of Plano’s Technology Services Data Center. The facility is located at 1117 E. 15th St., adjacent to Plano City Hall. The facility was originally designed and built to house city hall and the city’s main fire station. The Technology Services Data Center is a Tier 3 data center and administration office that stores, secures and processes information for Plano’s government offices. The project features offices, open support spaces, a training room, conference rooms, an employee break room and a public service area. Sustainable finishes are used throughout the building. Alliance Architects team members included Charlie, Reagan, Chris Bruck, Zac Bartz, Barb Caires, Keith Petersen and Aaron Trecartin. Turner Construction provided general construction services.
NEW YORK CITY — The Brodksy Organization has opened City Tower, the market-rate residential component of downtown Brooklyn’s City Point development, for leasing. Located at 10 City Point Place, the 48-story property features 440 studio, one- and two-bedroom residential units, beginning on the 20th floor. The units feature 5-inch wide oak plank flooring throughout the living areas and kitchens, custom cabinetry and recessed lighting in the kitchen. On-site amenities include more than 23,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces, including a basketball court, health club, residents’ lounge with café, a green terrace on the 18th floor and a sky terrace on the 43rd floor. Additional amenities include a 24/7 doorman, bicycle storage and a business center. Designed by COOKFOX, the property is slated to achieve LEED Silver certification. Pricing starts at $2,450 per month for a studio, $3,000 per month for a junior one-bedroom, $3,300 per month for a one-bedroom and $4,500 per month for a two-bedroom apartment. City Tower is part of City Point, a 1.8 million-square-foot retail, commercial and residential property in downtown Brooklyn being developed by Washington Square Partners and Acadia Realty Trust.
ITASCA, ILL. — PREMIER Design + Build Group LLC has broken ground on a children’s pediatric medical office building in Lake in the Hills, a village in Itasca about 30 miles northwest of Chicago. The 5,118-square-foot building was commissioned by Children’s Medical Group S.C. and is slated to open in early 2016. The medical office will feature 12 patient exam rooms, two treatment rooms, a dedicated breastfeeding room and separate waiting and exam rooms for sick and well children.
TEMPE, ARIZ. — Legacy Partners Residential has received city approval for the development of University Village 2.0, a new $60 million mixed-use, 775-bed student housing community near Arizona State University in Tempe. Located directly adjacent to Tempe’s light rail line, University Village 2.0 will replace a 1960s-era student housing complex, which will be demolished. KTGY is the project’s designer and architect. University Village 2.0 will feature 260 units and include studio, one-, two- and four-bedroom units. The community will also include 1,800 square feet of ground-level retail space. The units will range in size from 445 square feet to approximately 1,400 square feet and feature high-end finishes, stone countertops, stainless steel kitchen appliances, vinyl wood-plank flooring and in-unit washers and dryers. The majority of the units will feature the four-bedroom floor plans. The development will include multiple indoor and outdoor amenities, including a resort-style pool with beach entry, outdoor jumbo TV, sand volleyball court, fitness center and clubroom spaces. University Village 2.0 will consist of a single, five-story apartment building wrapped around two central courtyards and a parking garage. Legacy Partners plans to start demolition and construction on University Village 2.0 by summer 2016, and open for the fall 2018 semester.
