ORLANDO, FLA. — Orlando-based general contractor Williams Co. Southeast is on schedule to complete Phase I of The Crosslands, a $30 million retail center in Orlando. The 427,000-square-foot property will be located at Orange Blossom Trail and Osceola Parkway and is scheduled for a July 30 completion. The development team includes Tupperware Brands Corp., O’Connor Capital Partners, Peter Bergner and ELEVEN18 Architecture.

SEVIERVILLE, TENN. — RealtyLink LLC has broken ground on River Landing, a $25 million shopping center in Sevierville. The 175,000-square-foot project will be located on a 16-acre site along Winfield Dunn Parkway at the site of the Old Reel Theatre. Phase I is slated for completion this September, and Phase II is expected to be complete in February 2016. The property is pre-leased to eight undisclosed retailers. The project team includes general contractor Vannoy Construction, architect Cor3 Design and sub-contractor Blalock Cos.
HANOVER, N.J. — A joint venture between Vision Real Estate Partners and Rubenstein Partners has broken ground for the construction of a global headquarters for MetLife Investments in Hanover. Situated on 14 acres within 67 Whippany Road’s South Campus component, the 185,000-square-foot property will feature an open floor plan with collaborative workspaces and breakout rooms, a town hall with technologically advanced conference facilities, a fitness center, employee food court with indoor and outdoor seating, and a café. Additionally, the property will offer 4.5 parking spaces per 1,000 feet of rentable area. The property is also designed to achieve LEED Gold Core and Shell and LEED Platinum Interiors certifications. Bruce Mosler, Ethan Silverstein, David Susoreny, Bill Brown and Andrew Merin of Cushman & Wakefield represented MetLife in the transaction. Robert Donnelly and Robert Donnelly Jr., also of Cushman & Wakefield, represented the property ownership in the lease transaction.
DALLAS — The Park has opened in The Shops at Park Lane. The 10,000-square-foot park includes an open green space, an interactive fountain for kids, along with seating areas, power outlets and free Wi-Fi. Tenants including Starbucks and Zoës Kitchen feature outdoor patios overlooking The Park. The area will host events and activities including yoga, movie nights, live music and more. The Shops at Park Lane is a 33.5-acre mixed-use development.
ATLANTA — Atlanta-based developers Novare Group and Batson-Cook Development Co. have opened SkyHouse Buckhead, a 26-story luxury high-rise apartment community in Atlanta’s Buckhead submarket. The 362-unit property on Stratford Road features a rooftop amenity deck with two pools, outdoor kitchens and lounges, club room and a fitness center. The floor plans range from studio units to three-bedroom residences. The property is located two blocks from Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza and is connected to the Buckhead MARTA station by a new $32 million pedestrian bridge spanning Georgia 400. The community is also adjacent to the PATH400 Greenway, a 5.2-mile multi-use trail that will connect to the Atlanta Beltline. SkyHouse Buckhead’s project team includes general contractor Batson-Cook Construction and architect Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart. Ackerman & Co. was the land seller and equity partner in the project, along with NGI Investments LLC and Batson-Cook Development Co. An investor account advised by the U.S. real estate business of UBS Global Asset Management provided construction and permanent financing for the project. The property is one of 14 SkyHouse-branded apartment communities in the United States.
WEST MONROE, LA. — Atlanta-based Hotel Equities has been selected to manage the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott under construction in West Monroe. The hotel is slated to break ground this summer and open in the third quarter of 2016. The hotel will be located near the University of Louisiana-Monroe and the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. The ownership group for the new hotel includes Jon Patel and Kevin Patel of Monroe, La., and Nimesh Zaver of Lake Charles, La. The group has 26 Louisiana hotels in its portfolio.
WOODSTOCK, GA. — CBL & Associates Properties Inc. and Horizon Group Properties Inc. have begun construction on the second phase of The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta, an outlet mall in Woodstock that features 93 retailers. The 33,000-square-foot expansion is scheduled to open before the 2015 holiday season and will bring retailers GAP Outlet and Banana Republic to the outlet mall, which opened in July 2013 at the intersection of I-575 and Ridgewalk Parkway. Existing retailers at The Outlet Shoppes include Nike, Coach, Michael Kors, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Carter’s, Kate Spade, Vineyard Vines and Johnny Rockets. Horizon and CBL are co-developers of the project; Horizon is responsible for leasing and managing the center.
DALLAS — A new, 14-story office building is planned for Uptown Dallas’ financial district. The all-glass, 125,000-square-foot building will be adjacent to Crescent at Maple Avenue and Mahon on a one-acre site that includes the Old Warsaw restaurant. Investors Mike Terry and Holt Lunsford plan to break ground on the project during the first quarter of 2016. The partners will move their companies, M. Terry Enterprises and Holt Lunsford Holdings, into the building upon completion. Gensler designed the building. Lunsford and Terry purchased the property from former owner Al Heidari. The three-building site includes two vacant buildings and the Old Warsaw restaurant, which will continue operating for the duration of its current lease through 2015. Holt Lunsford Commercial will handle the development, leasing and on-site property management. Newt Walker served as the broker for the land transaction. When completed, 2620 Maple Ave. will offer access to retailers and restaurants, the McKinney Avenue Trolley line and Dallas’ Katy Trail.
Stirling Properties, CBL & Associates Breaks Ground on 425,000 SF Shopping Center in Louisiana

LAFAYETTE, LA. — Stirling Properties and CBL & Associates Properties Inc. have begun construction on Ambassador Town Center, a 425,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by Costco Wholesale in Lafayette. Other committed tenants include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Field & Stream, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Nordstrom Rack, Off Broadway Shoes, Chuy’s, Panera Bread, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, World of Beer and Blaze Pizza. The 58-acre site for the new shopping center is located at the corner of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Kaliste Saloom Road. The developers plan to open the project in March 2016 and expect to create approximately 2,200 construction jobs, 1,000 permanent jobs and generate nearly $9 million annually in sales taxes for the city of Lafayette.
NASHVILLE, TENN. — Castilleja, a lifestyle and home décor retailer, plans to open a new 2,300-square-foot store in Edgehill Village, a shopping district right off Music Row in Nashville. The store is located at 1200 Villa Place, Suite 403. The company was founded by Liz Rose, a Grammy Award-winning songwriter. The store offers a variety of home furnishings, art, clothing and gifts.
