LAKE ELSINORE, CALIF. — Civic Partners, with the support of the City of Elsinore, and Premier Design + Build Group have completed The Cottages at Mission Trail, a multifamily development in Lake Elsinore. The Cottages at Mission Trail features 143 two- and three-bedroom apartments in six floor plans spread across 78 buildings on a 20-acre site. Community amenities include a recreation center, large park, tot lot with playground equipment, laundry center and leasing center. The community has parking for 330 vehicles and many individual homes offer driveways. The Cottages at Mission Trail is part of Summerly, a 3,000-acre Lake Elsinore development that includes a golf course, single-family residential community and retail center. The project team included KTGY Group, ima, Gouvis Engineering and Wilson-Mikami.

ATLANTA — Rosé Bistro & Champagne Bar, a Parisian cuisine and wine bar concept, is set to open this fall at Atlantic Station, the 138-acre retail, restaurant and entertainment destination in West Midtown Atlanta. Located at 232 19th St., the bistro will feature a wine list and French dishes for brunch, dinner and light bites. Houston-based Hines is the property management firm at Atlantic Station. Situated near Atlantic Green, Rosé Bistro & Champagne Bar will offer a raw bar, indoor and outdoor dining and a full bar with cocktails including rosé champagne punch and French 75. The 1,634-square-foot bistro is the newest restaurant to join the tenant mix at Atlantic Station. With additional tenants to be announced, Atlantic Station plans to open tenants such as Azotea Cantina, LINDBERGH and Toscano Ristorante Italian this year. Another current tenant is the Regal Atlantic Station, which just opened back up after being closed since October 9, 2020 due to COVID-19.
Marwest, Willmeng Construction Break Ground on 235,000 SF Build-to-Suit Industrial Property in Mesa

MESA, ARIZ. — Marwest Enterprises, as developer, and Willmeng Construction, as general contractor, have broken ground on a 235,000-square-foot build-to-suit industrial facility for Canada-based ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corp., a Canada-based designer and manufacturer of environmentally efficient electric vehicles. The facility will feature an assembly line and manufacturing plant, research center, 22,000-square-foot office space and 19,000 square feet of lab space. ElectraMaccanica will lease the building from Marwest Enterprises. Ware Malcomb is serving as architect and Hunter Engineering is serving as engineer for the project. Situated on 18 acres adjacent to the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, the facility will have the production capacity of up to 20,000 vehicles per year and employ 200 to 500 people. Completion is slated for spring 2022.
WEST DES MOINES, IOWA — R&R Realty Group has unveiled plans to renovate Buildings 7 and 8 at its Regency West Office Park in West Des Moines. The pandemic spurred the renovation, according to R&R. “As our customers are returning to their offices, they’re telling us that amenities are still very important in order to entice the workforce back to the office and to retain the workforce working in the office,” says Mark Ruprpecht, president of R&R. New amenities at Regency West will include collaborative spaces with germ-resistant materials and space for social distancing. A fitness center will be equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines and Peloton bikes. A space known as the Veranda at Regency West will include large windows that can open to the outdoors. An automated coffee shop and a grab-and-go market will provide food and beverage options. These amenities will be available to all Regency West tenants, regardless of which building they occupy at the 623,000-square-foot complex. R&R plans to invest more than $1 million over the next 12 months for the new amenities.
GREENFIELD, IND. — Muesing Management Co. Inc. will develop Preserve at Blue Road, a 348-unit workforce housing property in the metro Indianapolis community of Greenfield. Project plans call for 19 buildings on 28 acres. Units will range in size from 541 to 1,400 square feet. Amenities will include a pool, outdoor kitchen, fitness center, dog park, clubhouse and walking trails. Mortgage banking company Merchants Capital provided financing for the project. A timeline for construction was not disclosed.
WHITESTOWN, IND. — Milhaus and partner Humphreys Capital have broken ground on Milhaus Whitestown, a $40 million apartment community in Whitestown, about 15 miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis. Located at 7279 S. Indianapolis Road, the project will include 240 units, 440 surface parking spaces and 40 garage parking spaces. Amenities will include an 8,600-square-foot clubhouse, fitness center, pool, dog park, pickleball court and outdoor lounge. The project team includes CSO as architect, HWC Engineering as engineer and Mitsch Design as interior designer. Completion is slated for May 2022.
OPA LOCKA, FLA. — Redwood National Properties LLC and Winston Capital Partners LLC are co-developing The Mirage at Sailboat Cove, a new workforce housing community in Opa Locka. Upon completion, the property will offer 112 townhome units featuring four-bedroom and 2.5-bathroom floorplans available to low- and middle-income residents. The Mirage at Sailboat Cove runs alongside Mitchell Lake in northern Miami-Dade County, and is located within 1.5 miles of Interstate 95. The property currently stands at 60 percent completed, and all units are projected to be delivered within the third quarter of 2021, which is two months ahead of schedule. Redwood and Winston Capital’s partners on the project include the City of Opa-locka, Coastland Construction, LB Construction and BAS Holdings Investments LLC. Brian Sidman of BAS Holdings is leading Redwood National Properties LLC, and David Burstyn is leading Winston Capital Partners.
SPIRITWOOD, N.D. — ADM (NYSE: ADM) has unveiled plans to build a new soybean crushing plant and refinery to meet demand from food, feed, industrial and biofuel customers. Located in Spiritwood, which is about 85 miles west of Fargo, the approximately $350 million complex will have the capacity to process 150,000 bushels of soybeans per day. ADM expects to complete the facility in time for the 2023 harvest. ADM also plans to invest approximately $25 million to expand refining and storage capacity at its crush and refining property in Quincy, Ill. The expanded facility is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2022. ADM is an agricultural origination and processing company based in Chicago.
BELMONT, FLA. — Berkadia has arranged $50.3 million in debt and equity financing for the construction of Belmont Tampa Apartments, a planned 300-unit, garden-style community to be built in Belmont, a master-planned development located south of Tampa. Scott Wadler of Berkadia’s Miami office and Wyatt Krapf of the firm’s Tampa office structured the financing on behalf of the sponsor, a joint venture between New York City-based Cross Lake Partners and Jacksonville-based GreenPointe Holdings. Synovus Bank provided a $33.1 million senior loan, and Federal Capital Partners provided $17.2 million in preferred equity. Located at 14323 S US Highway 301, Belmont Tampa Apartments will consist of 12 three-story residential buildings on 15.5 acres, along with one central leasing building and clubhouse. The community will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans averaging 1,107 square feet. Community amenities will include a resort-style pool, dog park and 24-hour gym, as well as trails and active open spaces. It will also be located close to a new Publix grocery store and Belmont Elementary School. The apartment community is expected to deliver in the spring of 2023.
LEAWOOD, KAN. — Torch.AI, a global artificial intelligence firm, has unveiled plans to expand its operations in Leawood and create nearly 500 full-time jobs over five years as part of a $27 million tax incentive package awarded by the Kansas Department of Commerce. The firm plans to hire more than 100 new professionals this year alone. Torch.AI is also making a significant capital investment in collaborative workspaces for its employees. The announcement comes on the heels of Torch.AI’s $30 million raise in Series A funding to accelerate its overall growth strategy. WestCap Group, a San Francisco-based investment firm, led the funding.
