The property will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans averaging 958 square feet. Each unit will feature bar-kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, as well as walk-in closets and full-size washers and dryers. Communal amenities will include a clubhouse, 24-hour fitness center, pool, cabana, dog park and a pet spa. The property spans 17 acres at 8551 Panama City Beach Parkway. Thompson Thrift Construction is the general contractor and Merchants Bank of Indiana provided construction financing to Watermark Residential. The developer expects to deliver the Watermark at Urban Blu in April 2022.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Frampton Construction has completed a 126-room, Cambria-branded hotel in Greenville. The four-story property is located at 135 Carolina Point Parkway, seven miles east of downtown Greenville. Amenities include an outdoor pool with sundeck, Tesla electric vehicle charging stations, a cobblestone porte-cochère entrance, spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors, a restaurant/bar, and 1,486 square feet of meeting space. ODA Architecture was the hotel’s designer, and Choice Hotels will operate the hotel.

COON RAPIDS, MINN. — Metro Storage LLC has purchased a parcel of land at 3021 124th Ave. in Coon Rapids and has started construction on a 908-unit self-storage facility at the site. The climate-controlled facility will span 95,000 rentable square feet. Heated and drive-thru storage options will be available. An office space will showcase security features and provide a selection of moving boxes, packing supplies and locks. Completion is slated for spring 2021. Located along the Mississippi River, Coon Rapids is a northern suburb of Minneapolis. This is the eighth location for Metro Storage in the Minneapolis market.

INDIANAPOLIS — Ambrose Property Group is developing a 205,000-square-foot build-to-suit for Love’s Travel Stops in Westpoint Business Park, which is situated in the Monrovia/Mooresville submarket of Indianapolis. Love’s will own the facility. Fritz Kauffman, Kevin Archer, Greg Dickerson and John Wilkinson of Cushman & Wakefield represented Love’s in the negotiations. Love’s plans to relocate a tire retread and distribution center from Plainfield, Ind. Construction is slated to begin soon with completion scheduled for February 2021. The 550-acre Westpoint Business Park is located nine miles from the Indianapolis International Airport.

CARY, N.C. — A joint venture between Hines, Columbia Development and USAA Real Estate has unveiled plans for The Canopy at Fenton, a 357-unit multifamily community situated within the 69-acre Fenton development in Cary. The property will stand six stories high and offer studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. In addition, 47 of the apartments will provide private terraces and loft-style units will be available on the ground floor. Communal amenities will include a fitness center, coworking lounge, clubroom, pool, pool deck and five common terraces that overlook the shops and eateries of Fenton. The developers expect to begin preleasing in spring 2022 with delivery slated for later in 2022. Construction on Fenton’s other components is expected to be completed in fall 2021. Previously announced retail tenants include anchors Wegmans and CMX CineBistro, as well as Sephora, Bailey’s Fine Jewelry, Superica and Honeysuckle Gelato. RENO, NEV. — Safeway has broken ground for a new grocery store at Damonte Ranch Town Center, located at the corner of Steamboat Parkway and Damonte Ranch Parkway in south Reno. The 62,000-square-foot store will be the grocery store chain’s third location in the Reno-Sparks market. Safeway will join RC Willey and The Home Depot as anchor tenants at the 509,000-square-foot shopping center, which Lewis Retail Centers owns. The retail center is part of the 2,000-acre Damonte Ranch master-planned community, which includes approximately 19,497 households within a three-mile radius of the shopping center.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — A partnership between New York-based Clarion Partners, investment management firm Crow Holdings Capital and developer Rob Riner Cos. has acquired 556 acres in Fort Worth for the development of a 7 million-square-foot industrial park that will be branded Carter Park East. The site is located on the city’s south side near Interstates 20 and 35 and will house both speculative and build-to-suit structures for various industrial and logistics users. Site work is scheduled to begin this month, and the first speculative buildings are expected to be complete in summer 2021. The largest area of the site will be marketed as a build-to-suit opportunity that can accommodate a user with a requirement as large as 1.8 million square feet. OLATHE, KAN. — StorageMart has opened a 784-unit self-storage facility in East Olathe within metro Kansas City. The Class A, climate-controlled facility features several elevators. All access is controlled with individual codes and cameras. Customers also have access to an online tenant portal. StorageMart now operates approximately 225 locations in three countries.

CAYCE, S.C. — The Simpson Organization Inc. plans to develop a $65 million mixed-use project at the intersection of Interstate 77 and 12th Street in Cayce. The Atlanta-based developer acquired 36 acres of Dominion Energy’s 260-acre Otarre Pointe development for the project, which is slated to include apartments, restaurants, retail space, a hotel, office space and an entertainment area. ODA Architecture is the designer, Paris Projects is the general contractor and EB Development will handle leasing and marketing. Simpson Organization expects to break ground on Phase I in late 2021. The property is located seven miles south of downtown Columbia.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Alliance Residential has purchased 10.8 acres to develop Broadstone Highland Creek, a planned 260-unit multifamily community in north Charlotte’s Highland Creek neighborhood. The community will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans averaging 991 square feet. Communal amenities will include a pool, clubroom, dog park and a fitness center, as well as 8,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. The property is located at 5050 Ridge Road, 14 miles north of downtown Charlotte. Alliance Residential expects to break ground later this year and open the community in early 2022. The project team includes architect Cline Design Associates and civil engineer McAdams Co.
