NEW YORK CITY — Landsea Homes and Leyton Properties have broken ground on a 14-story condominium tower on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Located at 212 W. 93rd St., the property will include 20 residences atop a new 9,350-square-foot synagogue that will occupy the first two floors. The developers purchased the site from Congregation Shaare Zedek. The building was designed by Eran Chen of ODA New York and draws inspiration from the neighborhood’s historic pre-war architecture. The completion date for the property was not disclosed.

SAN ANTONIO — Houston-based developer Allen Harrison Co. is nearing completion of Los Robles, a 306-unit multifamily project in the Stone Oak area of northern San Antonio. The property, which is expected to be open for leasing by year’s end, will feature a resort-style pool, 24-hour fitness center, resident clubhouse with a lounge and pub, a dog park and private storage. Embrey Management Services will lease and manage the property upon completion.

AURORA, ILL. — Panattoni Development has purchased a 53.4-acre site in Aurora to develop Orchard Gateway, a 764,895-square-foot speculative warehouse. The Class A facility will be divisible up to 300,000 square feet. Completion is slated for the third quarter of 2019. Building features will include a clear height of 36 feet, 166 exterior docks, 185 trailer parking positions and 304 car parking spaces. Alston Construction and Harris Architects make up the project team.

RICHMOND, VA. — Community Preservation and Development Corp. (CPDC) has broken ground on two adjacent apartment buildings in Jackson Ward district of Richmond. One of the apartment buildings will include 82 units, 46 of which will be at market price. The other will be a 72-unit affordable community for seniors moving in from Richmond’s Fay Towers. The Richmond Times-Dispatchreported in July that the project would cost $33 million. Amenities are set to include a fitness center, dog-grooming room, media room, and outdoor patio and grill area. S.L. Nusbaum realty will manage the property, which is expected to begin leasing in October 2019.

ROYAL PALM BEACH, FLA. — Hunt Midwest and Integral Senior Living have broken ground on The Capstone at Royal Palm, a seniors housing development located on Okeechobee Boulevard in Royal Palm Beach, a village in South Florida’s Palm Beach County. Slated to open in early 2020, The Capstone at Royal Palm will feature 84 studio, one- and two-bedroom assisted living and memory care suites, offering accommodates for up to 114 residents. Community amenities will include a great room, formal dining room, fitness center, bistro lounge, sunroom, walking trails, gazebo and a dog park. Integral Senior Living will manage the property upon completion.

SANTA FE, N.M. — ARCO/Murray Design Build has completed the construction of Rodeo Park Self Storage, a self-storage facility in Santa Fe, for Titan Development. Extra Space Storage will operate the two-story, 101,000-square-foot facility, which is fully climate controlled. ARCO/Murray provided a complete design-build solution for the project, including architectural and engineering design, permitting and construction. Logan Castille of ARCO/Murray served as project manager, and Matt Pitzen, also of ARCO/Murray, served at project superintendent.

GILBERT, ARIZ. — Chicago-based MedProperties Group has broken ground on Mercy Medical Commons II, a medical office building located on Mercy Road adjacent to the main entrance of Dignity Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert. Designed by Ware Malcomb, the three-story, 56,000-square-foot building will feature a 55-foot high-curved fin wall with integrated steel shade canopies, while the western curved façade will open to parking and a porte-cochere arrival area. The CORE Institute will occupy 20,000 square feet of the property, which is slated for completion in third-quarter 2019. Balfour Beatty US is serving as general contractor for the property. Philip Wurth of Colliers International in Greater Phoenix is serving as the leasing agent for the development, which is MedProperties’ first ground-up development in the East Valley area.

CEDAR PARK, TEXAS — AQUILA Commercial will develop Cross Creek Landing, a 63,297-square-foot office project that will be located in the northern Austin metro of Cedar Park. The three-story building will be situated near The Grove mixed-use development and will offer onsite showers and a 5:1 parking ratio. Austin-based Runa Workshop is designing the project, which is slated for an early 2020 delivery. AQUILA will also handle leasing of Cross Creek Landing.

BUFORD, GA., AND NORTHPORT, ALA. — Atlanta-based Watkins Real Estate Group has developed two Publix-anchored neighborhood retail centers in the suburbs of Atlanta and Tuscaloosa, Ala., totaling more than 126,000 square feet. Located in Buford, Holland Point is a 68,600-square-foot center along the city’s Quality Development Corridor on Hamilton Mill and Bogan roads. The property has nearly 20,000 square feet of inline space available, as well as three one-acre outparcels. Bristol Park, located at the intersection of Highway 69 and Mitt Lary Road in Northport, is a 56,800-square-foot center that features two available outparcels and 10,500 square feet of available shop space.

TEJON RANCH, CALIF. — Tejon Ranch Co. has announced a third joint venture agreement with Majestic Realty Co. to develop a speculative industrial building at Tejon Ranch Commerce Center (TRCC) in Tejon Ranch. Situated on 34 acres with more than 2,000 feet of frontage along Interstate 5, the cross-docked distribution facility will feature 580,000 square feet of Class A space, 36-foot clear heights, an ESFR sprinkler system, 62 dock-high doors, 177 trailer parking stalls, 327 vehicle parking stalls and a 180-foot wide truck court. Construction is slated to begin later this year or early 2019, with delivery scheduled for third-quarter 2019. The new building will be located next to a 480,480-square-foot building, which Tejon and Majestic built in 2017 and leased to Dollar General and L’Oréal USA in 2018. The joint venture also owns a fully-leased 651,909-square-foot industrial building within TRCC on the west side of Interstate 5, adjacent to IKEA’s 1.8 million-square-foot distribution center. John DeGrinis of Colliers International will serve as the listing broker for the new facility.
