HOUSTON — Arch-Con Construction, a general contractor with offices in Houston and Dallas, has topped out Residence Inn Medical Center, a 16-story hotel in Houston. Located near the Texas Medical Center and NRG Stadium on the city’s south side, the hotel will total 182 rooms upon completion, which is slated for February 2019. Amenities will include an indoor pool, fitness center and four conference/meeting rooms on the second floor. Moody National Cos. is the project developer, and Mitchell Carlson Stone Inc. is the architect.

MIAMI — Doral, Fla.-based Biscayne Bay Brewing Co. has unveiled plans to open a second location at the Old United States Post Office and Courthouse building in downtown Miami. Originally constructed in the early 1900s, the building was designated a historical site in 1989. The new brewery will occupy 6,500 square feet on the third floor of the building, where The Miami Weather Bureau Office was once located. Post Office Development LLC, managed by Daniel Peña, is overseeing the redevelopment of the building. Peña, a principal of Stambul Construction Co., led the restoration of the Eurostars Langford Hotel — previously Miami National Bank. Biscayne Bay will open its new location at the building this winter. The brewery’s flagship facility is located at 8000 N.W. 25th St. in Doral.

LYNNWOOD, WASH. — CA Senior Living has started construction of a 122-unit expansion at Quail Park of Lynnwood, a seniors housing community in the Seattle suburb of Lynnwood. The project will add 96 assisted living apartments, as well as 26 independent living units split among 13 duplex cottages. Sixteen of the new assisted living apartments will be enhanced units that provide high-acuity assisted living services to residents in need of more direct and frequent care. The expansion will nearly double the community’s existing 130 units. The first new units are scheduled to come on line in September 2019. CA Senior Living LLC, the senior housing investment and development division of Chicago-based CA Ventures, formed a joint venture with Living Care Lifestyles and an affiliate of Goldman Sachs to purchase the 15-acre community in 2017. The sellers were affiliates of Living Care Lifestyles, which continues to operate the property.

FORNEY, TEXAS — Dallas-based JMJ Development will build Parc at Windmill Farms Apartments, a 272-unit community that will be located in Forney, an eastern suburb of Dallas. The 17-building community will consist of 116 one-bedroom units, 120 two-bedroom apartments and 36 three-bedroom residences. Amenities will include a pool, clubhouse, business center, internet café, fitness center and a gathering room with a kitchen. A timetable for construction has not yet been established.

WICHITA, KAN. — Contractor Rock Enterprises is converting a 12,674-square-foot historic building into a multi-tenant office and retail development. Built in 1911, the property is located at 930 W. Douglas Ave. in Wichita’s Delano District. Property suites will range from 1,200 to 3,500 square feet in size. The building will have a common kitchen, lounge area and conference room. Jeff Englert and Nathan Farha of NAI Martens, the leasing agents for the property, have negotiated leases for No Coast Salon and Point Guard Management. No Coast Salon will occupy 1,245 square feet of ground-floor retail space while property management firm Point Guard Management will occupy 1,337 square feet on the second level. 3 Ten studio is the architect for the project.

NASHVILLE, TENN. — Atlanta-based developer Songy Highroads, in partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corp., has topped out construction on Hyatt House Nashville, a 201-room hotel located in Nashville’s West End district. Rising 15 stories on Hayes Street near the intersection of 21st Avenue, the hotel is located one block from Vanderbilt University, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital and TriStar Centennial Medical Center. Wakefield Beasley & Associates is designing the hotel, and Reeves Young is the general contractor. The development team expects to wrap up construction on the hotel in early 2019.

SAN ANTONIO — Casey Development Ltd. is underway on construction of Sunset Professional Building, a 58,000-square-foot medical office project in north central San Antonio. Construction began in April and two tenants, BHS Physicians Network Inc. and WellMed, have already preleased space. Baxter Contracting LLC, a division of Casey Development, is serving as general contractor and GRG Architecture designed the building, which is scheduled to come on line in March 2019.

LAS VEGAS — NorthMarq Capital has arranged an $11.3 million loan for the construction of Centennial Hills Skilled Nursing Facility in Las Vegas. The facility features 72 beds. The loan has a 12-month interest-only term followed by a 25-year amortization schedule. The loan-to-cost ratio is 75 percent. A national bank provided the capital. Jordan Johnson and Jerry Peterson of NorthMarq Capital’s Las Vegas office arranged the loan. The borrower was not disclosed.

HOUSTON — Stages Repertory Theatre, a production and promotions company for the performing arts industry, has broken ground on The Gordy, a $30.5 million theater complex in Houston. The property will feature three performance stages and total approximately 67,000 square feet, according to local magazine Houstonia. The complex will also offer rehearsal studios, production and design workshops, meeting and event space and a full administrative suite. The Gordy is expected to open during the 2019-2020 theater season.

CULVER CITY, CALIF. — Regency Centers has selected Urbanspace to operate its Culver Public Market, a market hall located at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Centinela Avenue in Culver City. The 26,000-square-foot hall will feature a variety of vendors, including artisans, entrepreneurs and chefs. Urbanspace connects small business owners and chefs with customers by reaching out to new communities and spaces. This is Urbanspace’s first entry into California. The company also operates Grand Central Holiday Fair and Union Square Holiday Market in New York City. Construction is slated to begin this fall with delivery in early 2020.
