LAS VEGAS — The 158-room Homewood Suites by Hilton Las Vegas City Center has opened in Las Vegas. The hotel is located at 4625 Dean Martin Drive, half a mile from the Las Vegas Strip. Heritage Inn and Suites of Las Vegas owns the property, which Tharaldson Hospitality Management Co. manages. It offers studio to two-bedroom units that feature fully equipped kitchens, as well as separate living and sleeping areas.

JACKSON, MICH. — Home2 Suites by Hilton has opened in Jackson, about 35 miles south of Lansing, the capital of Michigan. The extended-stay hotel consists of 83 suites. Ontario Hospitality Inc. developed, owns and manages the property, which features fully equipped kitchens, complimentary Internet, breakfast, a combined laundry and fitness area, and indoor pool. The hotel is located at 2704 Bob McClain Drive off I-94.

GOODYEAR, ARIZ. — Lincoln Property Co. has announced plans to break ground on Lincoln Logistics 40, a 901,700-square-foot spec industrial development in Goodyear, in December. The development will be the area’s first speculative industrial project to offer a 40’ clear ceiling heights. The project will be situated along Interstate 10 at Bullard Avenue on 50 acres within the Airport Gateway at Goodyear business park. Lincoln Logistics 40 will feature 169 dock and grade-level doors, 185 trailer storage stalls, up to 660 parking stalls, fiber optic data and energy-efficient clearstory windows in lieu of skylights. Completion is slated for mid-2018. Layton Construction will build the project. The architect is Butler Design Group. CBRE’s Pat Feeney, Dan Calihan and Rusty Kennedy represented the land seller, EJM Development Co. The firm’s John Werstler and Cooper Fratt represented Lincoln Property in the land purchase. Werstler, Kennedy and Fratt serve as the Lincoln Logistics 40 exclusive leasing team.

DAVENPORT AND SIOUX CITY, IOWA — The Opus Group has signed contracts with the Iowa National Guard to design and construct two facilities for advanced training in both Davenport and Sioux City. The Iowa Air National Guard will use a 37,000-square-foot facility in Sioux City, while the Iowa Army National Guard will use an 87,000-square-foot building in Davenport. Both buildings will replace existing facilities with modern spaces, including dedicated areas for specific training programs and improved, more efficient flow for high-traffic areas like dining halls and medical clinics. Designed to meet the latest anti-terrorism force protection standards and LEED Silver certification, both facilities will include highly efficient mechanical systems and LED lighting throughout. The Sioux City facility will be a one-story space located on the current 185th Air Refueling Wing airbase. Designed to serve up to 500 airmen at a time, the building will include space for administrative offices, a dining hall that will be able to seat 180 people, a medical clinic, a kitchen and training rooms. RONKONKOMA, N.Y. — The Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency (IDA) has closed on a package of economic benefits for the first phase of Tritec Real Estate Co.’s planned Ronkonkoma hub transit-oriented development project, which is expected to break ground soon. The package was approved unanimously in 2014, but did not close until recently due to the timing of required approvals, including sewer connections, and the acquisition by East Setauket, N.Y.-based Tritec and its partner of various properties at the project site from private owners. The total project, valued at $538 million, is expected to feature up to 1,145 apartments and 545,000 square feet of retail and office space on 50 acres near the Long Island Rail Road station. Phase 1 of the project, which includes the construction of infrastructure and 477,300 square feet of apartments on 11.9 acres, is valued at $112.7 million. The first phase is expected to create 977 construction industry jobs and 76 full-time jobs upon completion. The construction of the first phase is expected to take three years.

NEW YORK CITY — HFF has arranged $61.5 million in construction financing for the development of Roosevelt Parc, a 15-story transit-oriented mixed-use development located at 71-17 Roosevelt Ave. in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens. Steven Klein and Geoff Goldstein of HFF secured the floating-rate construction loan through Principal Global Investors for the borrower, an affiliate of Werber Real Estate. Being developed by Werber Real Estate and Socius Development Group, the property will feature 154 residential units, 16,577 square feet of retail space, 23,074 square feet of community facility space and a 186-space parking garage. Additionally, the property is within one block of the Jackson Heights – Roosevelt Avenue subway station. Designed by Marvel Architects, the development will feature 40,000 square feet of amenity space, including a rooftop deck, a movie screening room, a fitness center, a children’s playroom, a courtyard, lounge areas and a 24-hour concierge. Units will feature a mix of studio through four-bedroom floor plans with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, wood flooring and in-unit washers and dryers.

SEATTLE — Greenbridge Investment Partners has completed the renovation of Georgetown Squared (G2), a five-story office building in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. The building is located at 5601 Sixth Ave. South. G2 is currently 76 percent occupied. Notable tenants include Iridio Studios, Builders Capital, Andersen Construction, Archbright, Darigold, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Netfortris. The American Lung Association will soon move into G2. G2 was originally built as a showroom for the adjacent Seattle Design Center. The renovations include new floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing natural light and panoramic views of the Seattle skyline and Mt. Rainier into the building. It also includes a new exterior monument sign, refreshed concrete and tile flooring, new and refurbished elevators, and atrium seating. Tenant amenities include a gym, contemporary conference center, on-site parking and new restaurant concepts that will open in 2018.

LOS ANGELES — The Finish Line Inc. has opened its revamped Los Angeles flagship store in the Del Amo Fashion Center. The updated retail space features a new design concept and digital display integrations. The Del Amo store — the third Finish Line location to receive these updates alongside Woodfield Mall in Chicago and Roosevelt Field in New York — puts technology at the center of the store’s total experience. The Finish Line, Inc. is a retailer that carries shoes, apparel and accessories. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Finish Line runs approximately 950 branded locations in U.S. malls and shops inside Macy’s department stores.

SPANISH FORK, UTAH — Englewood Construction has been tapped to work on three food-related projects in the Western U.S. The firm recently completed a 7,794-square-foot Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in Spanish Fork. It is one of more than 800 Olive Gardens in 49 states for Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants Inc., a national client of Englewood Construction. Tustin, Calif.-based CRHO Architects was the project architect. The national general contractor has also started interior remodeling projects for two test kitchens and training facilities for US Foods in California and Arizona. Englewood additionally commenced construction on two food-service projects in La Mirada, Calif., and Phoenix. Rosemont, Ill.-based US Foods Inc., a food company and distributor to restaurants, healthcare, hospitality, government and educational facilities, hired Englewood Construction to remodel two of its Western test kitchen and training facilities. Scheduled to be complete early next year, the interior remodels will accommodate the latest kitchen and training equipment. Hartland, Wis.-based ESI Design Services is the project architect for both locations. Englewood will build a classroom-style arrangement around a condensed version of the standard cook line, with a ventilation hood over open flames, a fryer, skillet and griddle.
