WEST YARMOUTH, MASS. — Maplewood Senior Living recently hosted the grand opening for Mill Hill Residence, a Maplewood At Mayflower Place Community. The property offers 75 units of assisted living and memory care in the Cape Cod town of West Yarmouth. The two-story community is located on the former site of the Mill Hill Club. Mill Hill Residence is part of the Maplewood at Mayflower campus, a full-service continuing care retirement community. The architect on the project was Stein Troost Architecture. Maplewood partnered with Perkins Eastman on the interior design, and NEI General Contracting served as the construction partner.

Community Preservation Partners Completes $30.5M Rehab of San Jose Apartment Complexes

SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Community Preservation Partners (CPP) has completed rehabilitation of two affordable apartment complexes in San Jose. The rehabilitations occurred at the 144-unit Monte Vista Gardens and 81-unit Courtyard Plaza Apartments. The properties are situated a few blocks from each other. They will maintain below-market-rate rents for another 55 years. Monte Vista Gardens received $5.5 million in rehab efforts, including new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, computer lab, media center and community kitchen. Courtyard Plaza received a $25 million rehabilitation, including new bathtubs, appliances, vanities, siding, windows, doors, and a remodeled community room and manager’s office.
Badiee Development, Exeter Property Group to Build 200,000 SF Industrial Project in Escondido

ESCONDIDO, CALIF. — Badiee Development and Exeter Property Group have partnered to develop a 10.9-acre industrial campus in Escondido. The campus will be located at 1925 and 2005 Harmony Grove Road. Construction on the campus is set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2017 with a completion date of summer 2018. Badiee sold the two industrial land parcels to Exeter Property Group. The group plans to develop a 200,000-square-foot industrial distribution building on the site in conjunction with Badiee as the project developer. Mike Erwin of Colliers International represented Badiee Development, while the firm’s Chris Holder and Mark Lewkowitz represented Exeter Property Group in this transaction.
CARLSBAD, CALIF. — RAF Pacifica Group has announced plans to develop an 83,000-square-foot distribution facility in Carlsbad. The San Diego Hat Co. acquired the 7.5-acre site for $5.8 million. The headwear and accessories brand has an agreement in place for RAF to develop the building with TFW Construction as the general contractor. It is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2018. Aric Starck of Cushman & Wakefield represented RAF Pacifica Group in all real estate negotiations affiliated with this site. LOUISVILLE, KY. — Molto Properties, in conjunction with Verus Partners, has acquired 30.4 acres of land to develop a 677,685-square-foot logistics building within the Air Commerce Business Park in Louisville. The project launches the third phase of construction for the industrial park. The new building will feature 36-foot clear heights, trailer parking and car parking. The development is located roughly eight miles from Louisville International Airport. CBRE will market the property and handle the development’s leasing assignment. Phase III is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2018.
ANCHORAGE, ALASKA — Rooflifters USA has completed a 25,200-square-foot roof raising that will allow Dave & Busters to open at the Dimond Mall in Anchorage. The mall modified the space and raised the roof about six feet. The larger height allows tenants like movie theaters, big-box retailers and climbing-wall facilities to occupy spaces that most traditional retail locations are unable to initially accommodate. The actual roof raising was done overnight. It’s part of a massive reconfiguration for the Dimond Center remodel and expansion project. The 44,000-square-foot Dave & Buster’s is slated to open in 2018.
SUGAR LAND, TEXAS — Greystar has completed Overture Sugar Land, a 55-and-older multifamily rental community located in the Houston metro of Sugar Land. The property offers a mix of one- and two-bedroom units ranging in size from 676 to 1,215 square feet. Amenities of the four-story facility include a coffee bar and bistro, fitness center with yoga studio, a gaming room and a resort-style pool.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Southlake, Texas-based development firm Integrated Real Estate Group plans to build a 308-unit multifamily asset located at the intersection of Golden Triangle Boulevard and Katy Road in Fort Worth. Mark Boone of Realty Capital Management LLC represented the buyer and seller in the sale of the 12 acres on which the property will be situated. Additional details have not yet been released.
SOUTHAVEN, MISS. — CVH Airways LLC has opened Homewood Suites by Hilton Southaven, a 99-room hotel located at 135 Homewood Drive in Southaven, roughly 13 miles south of Memphis in Mississippi. The hotel includes a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom accommodations and features fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Amenities include a fitness center, indoor pool, outdoor sports court and 468 square feet of meeting space. Vista Host Inc. will manage the property.
MINNETONKA, MINN. — A joint venture between LeCesse Development Corp., Morgan Management and UC Funds has broken ground on RiZE at Opus Park, a 322-unit apartment community in Minnetonka, a western suburb of Minneapolis. The $73 million project is a redevelopment of the Opus Business Park. The property will feature studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Plans call for construction of a six-story building and a 492-car parking garage. Amenities will include a clubhouse, fitness center, movie theater, resort-style pool and courtyards. US Bank provided construction financing. Humphreys & Partners Architects is the project architect, while Stonebridge Construction is the general contractor. Loucks Engineering is providing civil engineering services and Terracon is serving as environmental consultant. Completion is slated for winter 2018.
