REDONDO BEACH, CALIF. — The 184-unit Homewood Suites by Hilton has opened in Redondo Beach. The hotel is located at 2430 Marine Ave. The new property offers studio, one- and two-bedroom accommodations with fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast, an evening social Monday through Thursday, Wi-Fi and grocery shopping service. Common-area amenities include an outdoor pool, whirlpool, sports court, fire pit, grill area and fitness center. The property also offers 1,157 square feet of flexible space for meetings and social events. Mogul Capital developed the property, which Evolution Hospitality manages.

ABILENE, TEXAS — New Mexico-based Prestige Development Group will break ground this month on The Shops at Abilene Village, a 171,027-square-foot shopping center that will be located at 3550 S. Clack St. in Abilene. Approximately 85 percent of the space is preleased to tenants such as Academy Sports + Outdoors, Burlington and Petco. Delivery of the center is scheduled for 2018.

NEW YORK CITY — Several new restaurants have been announced at Hudson Yards on the west side of Manhattan. Opening in late 2018, restaurants at the site will include Chef Thomas Keller’s American restaurant, a new concept from David Chang’s Momofuku, Chef Costas Spiliadis’ Greek seafood restaurant Estiatorio Milos, a brasserie concept from D&D London and an American Grill concept from Chef Michael Lomonaco. In partnership with Related Cos. and Oxford Properties Group, José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup will also debut a new Spanish concept.

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. — Liquors 44 is opening its sixth location in western Massachusetts at 1755 Boston Road in Springfield. The company is a locally owned and operated liquor superstore founded in 1987. Matt Halprin of New England Retail Properties was the exclusive broker for the new 24,000-square-foot store on Boston Road.

CLIFTON, N.J. — Ideal Market Place has opened a new location at the Botany Plaza shopping center in Clifton. Ideal Market Place is a brand of the supermarket chain America’s Food Basket (AFB), which specializes in international foods. According to the AFB website, the company operates within all five boroughs of New York, and has expanded into New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. AFB currently operates 43 locations, including the 24,500-square-foot Ideal Market Place in Clifton. Nassimi Realty, a privately held development and investment company, owns Botany Plaza.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Lutze Biergarten, a 23,000-square-foot outdoor beer garden, has opened along the Hudson River waterfront in Jersey City. The property is adjacent to Harborside, a mixed-use asset. Mack-Cali Realty Corp. owns both properties. Lutze features three seating areas and a selection of craft beers, cider, wine and sangria, as well as food from Jake’s Downtown and Bacon Me Crazy.

COVINGTON, LA. — CBRE has arranged a $14 million construction loan for Avanti Senior Living at Watercross, a 90-unit assisted living and memory care community in the New Orleans suburb of Covington. The borrower is a joint venture between Texas-based developer Avanti Senior Living and investment advisor Iron Point Partners. The property will sit within the Watercross Healthcare Campus, which includes the new Ochsner Medical Hospital. The projects sit within the larger, 171-acre Water Cross at Nor du Lac development, which includes Ochsner Health Center, an active adult community, a wellness center, professional medical offices, a skilled nursing/rehab community and luxury apartments. Aron Will of CBRE National Senior Housing arranged the floating-rate loan with four years of interest-only payments through a regional bank.

DENTON, TEXAS — Andy B’s Entertainment and Bowling Centers, a Missouri-based company that provides food, drink and games, has entered into an agreement to purchase land in north Texas on which to build a new 45,000-square-foot location. The new establishment will be located within Rayzor Ranch Town Center, a 600,000-square-foot retail development located at 2750 W. University Drive in Denton. Construction on the property, which will be the company’s fourth location under the Andy B’s brand and its 11th overall, is slated to begin late this year.

BOLINGBROOK, ILL. — Principle Construction Corp. has broken ground on an 18,250-square-foot addition to the manufacturing facilities of Bay State Milling Co. in Bolingbrook. The property is located at 279 Beaudin Blvd. The new addition will include 32-foot clear heights and three new dock positions. Principle completed the original 80,500-square-foot building in 2008, when the company was known as TJ Harkins. Bay State Milling provides food ingredients, primarily grain and plant-based products. Michael Long of Principle will serve as the project executive, along with Darrin Dehmlow as project manager and Jack Grooms as onsite superintendent. Arête Design Studio is providing design services and V3 is providing civil engineering services.

GARLAND, TEXAS — Dallas-based development partners Langford Property Co. and Flaherty Development have begun pre-construction demolition and remediation of asbestos for Jupiter Miller Business Park, a 40-acre industrial development in Garland situated within the former campus of defense contractor Raytheon. The first phase of construction, which will begin in June, will deliver a two-building, 800,000-square-foot distribution center.
