WEATHERFORD, TEXAS — Gunn Automotive Group, a San Antonio-based car dealer, has purchased a 10.4-acre tract in western Fort Worth suburb of Weatherford for the development of a Honda dealership. The $10 million project, which includes a 30,000-square-foot building and showroom, will break ground in June. Colton Wallis and Nick Talley of Bradford Commercial represented the sellers, two private investors, in the transaction. Jack Huff of Transwestern represented the undisclosed buyer.

MIAMI — PGT Innovations Inc., an impact window and door manufacturer, plans to open a new 330,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Miami. The company currently operates an 182,000-square-foot office and manufacturing property roughly 12 miles from the new facility. PGT Innovations will manufacturer its CGI branded products at the new location, as well as other commercial and PGT aluminum products. The new building space will accommodate a multi-brand showroom, offices, production and distribution capabilities. The new space is slated to be complete near the end of 2017 and is expected to be operational by January 2018.

SUTTON, MASS. — Galaxy Development has purchased five acres for an addition to the Pleasant Valley Crossing Shopping Center in Sutton. The new parcel will accommodate a 5,500-square-foot restaurant and a multi-tenant, 19,000-square-foot retail plaza. MidPoint Engineering will submit plans for permits this spring and the developer expects to start construction in the fall, with store openings planned for summer 2018. Todd Lornell was the broker for the seller, Fuller Hamlets Soccer Club. Pleasant Valley Crossing is a grocery-anchored project with current tenants including Market 32 by Price Chopper, Five Guys, Verizon, Great Clips, Q-Nails, Pleasant Valley Dental and UniBank. Additional land for the project can accommodate up to 130,000 square feet of retail. When complete, the project will total 225,000 square feet of retail space plus a residential parcel that can accommodate multifamily or seniors housing.

GAINESVILLE, FLA. — Butler Enterprises plans to develop two apartment communities totaling more than 200 residences at Butler Town Center, an open-air lifestyle center in Gainesville. The properties, known as The Residences and The Terraces at Butler Town Center, will feature studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, as well as a pool, hot tub, pet grooming station and a fitness and yoga studio. The Residences will be a six-story structure with five levels of apartments atop ground-level retail space, which will be home to Stengel Field Food Hall, the first food hall in north Florida. Scheduled to open in fall 2018, Butler Town Center will feature a Whole Foods Market, newly renovated 14-screen Regal Cinema theater and P.F. Chang’s, among other retail and restaurant tenants. Butler Town Center is one of three developments by Butler Enterprises at Interstate 75 and Archer Road, known collectively as the Neighborhoods of Butler.

HOUSTON — Reytec Construction Resources Inc. has purchased approximately 14 acres of land at the corner of Bingle and Tidwell roads in northwest Houston for the development of Reytec’s new, 32,000-square-foot office headquarters. Trey Erwin and Walker Barnett of Colliers International represented Reytec and investment partner RES Bingle Partners LP in the transaction. Thomas Monaghan and Jeff Lindenberger of Avison Young represented the seller.

DETROIT — The Kresge Foundation has administered grants totaling $2 million to 17 nonprofits for projects to revitalize neighborhoods across Detroit. This final round of grants in the pilot program, known as Kresge Innovative Projects: Detroit, brings the foundation’s grant total to $5 million over the past three years. The new grants will fund, for example, the creation of a new community hub on Grand River Avenue in the Grandmont Rosedale neighborhood and conversion of a blighted five-block stretch of the Morningside neighborhood into an agricultural greenway. The grants support renovation of an abandoned duplex into an art center in central Detroit and a southwest Detroit program to promote the conversion of vacant second floors of commercial buildings into residential spaces. In addition to the creation of community gathering spots, green spaces and conversion of abandoned properties to new uses, the initiative seeks to make neighborhood streets and sidewalks more walkable. Kresge’s support for these shovel-ready projects ranges from $75,000 to $150,000 each. The latest grants were chosen from nearly 70 applications.

PLAINFIELD, IND. — Sun Development & Management has broken ground on a new Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Plainfield near the Indianapolis International Airport. The 175-suite hotel is located at 6089 Clarks Creek Road and is slated for completion in spring 2018. Amenities will include complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool, on-site restaurant and convention center.

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CALIF. — An 18-month redevelopment has been completed at Peninsula Shopping Center in Rolling Hills Estates. The parties involved in the redevelopment were not disclosed. In addition, new stores have opened at the center including Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH), Petco, Ulta Beauty, The Bar Method, AT&T, Verizon, The Habit Burger Grill and Chipotle. Mod Pizza will open this summer. The redevelopment increased the center’s size by 16,579 square feet, which included the addition of three new retail/restaurant pads. The changes also included demolishing the existing pedestrian colonnade and constructing a drive aisle in its place, reconfiguring parking and circulation facilities, creating new junior anchor spaces and improving sidewalks.

Olive St. The mid-rise property features a sky lounge, downtown views from the pool deck and townhomes with front-door stoops along Olive Street. It offers furnished and unfurnished apartment options ranging from studio to two-bedroom layouts with open-concept living areas. SANDY SPRINGS, GA. AND FRANKLIN, TENN. — On the heels of opening seniors housing community Somerby Sandy Springs in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs, Dominion Partners also plans to open Somerby Franklin in the Nashville suburb of Franklin within the next two months. Somerby Sandy Springs includes 128 independent living units, 48 assisted living units and 24 memory care units on a six-acre plot. Details were not released on the Franklin property. Based in Birmingham, Ala., Dominion Partners is a developer and owner of seniors housing properties. Somerby, an operator, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dominion. The companies own and operate a portfolio of eight communities in Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.
